We have just got back from a fantastic trip to Uzbekistan. Our first hotel was the L’Argamak Hotel. It is very close to the Amir Temur Mausoleum in fact we could see its dome from our room which was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast had plenty of options even for the most picky of guests. Above all though the staff cannot do enough to help you. This was most evident when the hotel manager Sharofat went beyond the boundaries of her responsibility to help us get our luggage back which was due to arrive at Samarkand Airport the day after the we had left the L’Argamak Hotel for different hotel Bukhara. She chased the Lost and Found airport office many times and when it arrived the Airport would only release it to someone who identified it, so she collected our bag and arranged for a taxi to take it our hotel in Bukhara. This road journey is 4-5hrs and would have taken a day out of our short trip. Thank you to her and all the staff who help us along the way. Forget the 10 star review, their service was worthy of 20 stars!

The L'Argamak Hotel offers a delightful and comfortable stay in Samarkand. Its blend of traditional charm, modern amenities, attentive service, and convenient location makes it an excellent choice for travellers seeking an authentic and enjoyable experience in this captivating Silk Road city. I would certainly recommend the L'Argamak. It provides a wonderful base from which to explore the wonders of Samarkand.

Extremely polite staff and Firoze helps at breakfast- he is courteous, always happy to help. Great breakfast in a very homely chai khana type set up. Located very close to Gur e Amir. Registan is perhaps another 10-15 mins. There’s a few good cafés near by too and all within walking distance.

While known before hand - they only accept cash and while ATMs are available aplenty - it would be great if they accepted electronic payments.

A secret garden hotel. As you walk in, the colours of the garden welcome you. The rooms were clean as we had 2 rooms for my family. Breakfast was just amazing. Abundant of food which you needed to order a day ahead. Good spread and quality serving. Very friendly and helpful staff and everything about this place is on point!

Everything was perfect! All went well with this stay and we will highly recommend this property to families. Ample space for your kids to run around in the garden area.

Great location, helpful staff. They went out of their way to make my stay comfortable but there are some issues which need fixing. Some of the dishes at breakfast were cold. Coffee was great though. There was some issues with the charging ports, two of them didn't work. One of the lamps was broken. I paid extra to be upgraded to a bigger room. The rooms were fantastic but then when you consider the price, it's what you would pay for a 5* hotel in most cities so in terms of value for money, the score is on the low end.

Excellent location, in a very posh and quiet street. It is right around the corner from the Amir Taimur mosque. The staff was absolutely top notch. Five star service from each and every person. They are extremely courteous and professional. Breakfast was ample and they served fresh eggs or omelettes as you need. The garden is absolutely stunning. Do try and spend some time in the garden if you can. Rooms are comfy as well.

Our room did not have a good view. It was quite depressing.

First of all I have to highlight that in this hotel we met the most helpful and supportive staff. We arrived early by train and directly they gave us our room with an early check in. Also they offered us breakfast. Very convenient for us, as we had arranged a city tour for our first day. The location is perfect just across the mausoleum of Timur and 15 minutes walking from the Registan square. The room was spacious, very clean and with a nice bathroom full of amenities. Very nice breakfast with continental choices and local products. Really nice yard in the front with a garden to relax and cool down on a hot day. The best part is the amazing terrace. You can enjoy a cool drink, read a book or just look the mausoleum.

The property is a gem! It centres around a very picturesque courtyard where breakfast is served in the morning and where guests can relax with a drink and snack throughout the day. Inside, the decor is tasteful and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the location is 100 metres from the Amir Temur Mausoleum. All in all, an excellent place to stay on your trip to Samarkand if wishing to avoid big chain hotels.

The staff is top notch - very helpful and considerate. The location is excellent - about 5 mins from Gur Emir and 15 mins from Registan. Warning for others - ten hotel has no lifts so you have the use the stairs for everything Good WiFi

The price seemed to be higher compared to other hotels in Uzbekistan

It was clean. The front desk staff was really helpful. The breakfast was abundant. We loved the inner courtyard and garden

Our room didn’t get cleaned one day at all and the next day, staff didn’t replace the coffee packets in the room. But overall, the hotel was spotless.
