The hotel has the general 4* standard, and as backpackers we didn't feel uncomfortable. Overall we were satisfied. The room is spacious, the carpet is pleasantly soft, the bed is sufficiently hard (although this is obviously a matter of taste). The central air conditioning works very efficiently, daily cleaning, coffee, tea, kettle in the room. In clear weather, the view from the 17th floor is beautiful. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection: 6-8 types of hot main dishes (steamed pumpkin and carrots, pork and chicken, vegetable rice, noodles, dumplings), 2 types of soup, bread, toast, baguette, butter, hard cheese, two types of ham, pâté, sausage, boiled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, yogurt, pastries, fruit, tea, coffee, soft drinks and in addition, a kitchen with a chef to fulfill other wishes. The ingredients are of good quality and everything is delicious, but it is worth going earlier, because what runs out, they don't refill. The price of the accommodation was automatically deducted from the card, which is also a great thing and rare in Vietnam. I heartily recommend this hotel, and we will choose it again.

The staff at the hotel, especially Kevin are so nice and helped us so, so much, both with booking a private tour, booking a night bus and went beyond all expectations when he even helped us when an ATM took our card. Very nice rooms, facilities and placement.

The staff that answers messages on booking.com clearly do not communicate with the staff at the hotel, since they weren't informed that we arrived a day later than expected. They only answered messages on booking.com between 07.00-13.00 and also stopped answering our messages.

The hotel was extremely comfortable, Rooms were very spacious. Food was good. Staff were very friendly and it has a great location

The air conditioning on the floor for cooling was disabled due to the season being winter. They did offer to change us to another floor that had cooling enabled, but it was too late to move. Maybe going forward advise international guests of this option. Also the language barrier when ordering room service was a challenge… but they eventually got it right and the food was great!

We celebrated is style here! We had the whole place to ourselves, it felt like! The pool is enormous and the room could've fit several families comfortably. The staff were so helpful and answered all our questions, and immediately responded when we couldn't figure out how to work the a/c! We asked to rent motorbikes, and they had 2 BRAND NEW (which is so rare) bikes waiting out f ont for us in an hour!

We decided to eat at the restaurant... And unfortunately, they didn't have what either of us tried to order, but was still ok. Buffet breakfast was typical.

Kevin (Khanh) at reception was absolutely the best part of our stay at Muong Thanh hotel! He was incredibly helpful, and went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. He deserves a big bonus. Thank you Kev!!! We had a massive corner room with beautiful views.

The restaurant was not what was expected of a 5-star hotel - the pho was the least flavourful of all that we ate in Vietnam. Some clothes were permanently stained from the laundry service.

Excellent 2 night stay here as our base to explore the UNESCO Geopark area ... impressive hotel with all the mod cons. Good communication via messenger service before and during our stay when we needed anything. Room was exactly as described on the 15th floor with beautiful views. Very spacious and clean. Restaurant - reasonable food at reasonable price; extensive menu and breakfast was also good. Swimming Pool and Gym - beautiful space up on the 20th floor ... if its shut just message and they send a team member up! Sky Bar - soft, fruit drinks and beer on the 21st floor with good views of the city. Some of the team spoke good English but otherwise translate app or messenger meant there was never a problem! A great stay in this hotel and would totally recommend as a high quality base for exploring the area!

The hotel is located in the city center, making it convenient for those who want to explore various places in the city. On weekends, there is a walking street below with many lively activities.

There is a café in the hotel lobby, and the hotel is not only for guests staying overnight but also hosts various activities, making it quite busy and sometimes a bit noisy. The breakfast is a bit simple.

So me and my dad got separate rooms here after riding motorcycles for 8 days through northern Vietnam. Honestly this place was an AMAZING stay after so long on the road. Very comfortable with a kind staff that spoke good English. We ended up staying an extra day just to enjoy the hotel more and relax before we got back on the road and finishing our trip. The sky bar at the top has a great view oof the city and is centrally located. I recommend staying here and driving out to the angel eye mountain and waterfall then coming back for the night.

Very comfortable stay in the middle of everything happening in Cao Bang. Exceptional staff that are gracious, friendly, and helpful.
