The property is great, it is clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed after a long night bus from Ha Giang. The staff were great and even let us in at 4am so we could get some rest. Breakfast is also available at a small price and it is nice.

This is not a negative, it is more of a watch out. The hotel is in a development that is basically a ghost town. It’s fascinating walking though faux European style boulevards in Vietnam, but there is nothing close for food or entertainment. This was not a problem for us as it was just a pit stop and we knew exactly what we were booking.

We loved absolutely EVERYTHING about our stay in this hotel! The landlady was wonderful, always helped us, and was very welcoming. We loved classic, japanise style. Rooms were very clean and had everything we could ask for. During our stay in the hotel, we had many options available, such as: ordering a breakfast and having the room cleaned. The hotel also had options to book a trip to Hạ Long and renting a limusine to take us back to Hanoi, and the prices were really good (definitely cheaper than booking attractions through the internet). Overall, we were very satisfied with our time there and are looking forward to staying there when we are back in Hạ Long.

It's a very clean and comfortable place for a very reasonable price, I ended up staying longer than I originally planned. The owner and his family are incredibly nice and helpful too. The location might be a positive too, IF you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place, far away from the noise of motorbikes, that is just few minutes of walking away from a beautiful beach at Halong bay, this is a perfect place!

The location can be a negative too, but not too bad IF you're with a motorbike, or don't mind renting one for all your stay. The hotel is essentially in a ghost town, where you can't really find any restaurants or shops, and Grab (and Grab food delivery) doesn't really work either. For food delivery, you can look up stuff in Grab or Google maps, and then ask someone at the reception to help you order by phone.

Absolutely beautiful, stunning spacious room and totally spotless. Hang and Khanh Phuong were so friendly, polite and helpful. They helped us book a fabulous cruise around Ha Long Bay. 5 minutes walk to the stunning beach and we used Grab to take us to restaurants close by. We were there just after Typhoon Yagi and there was a lot of destruction in the outer area but this did not impact on the area by the hotel. We spent four nights at Samatha. The property was gorgeous. You can tell a lot of care went into designing it. The rooms were spotless. Beds were comfortable. The family that owns the hotel is lovely and super helpful. We had dinner on the property one night and the owner made us phở and it was the best veggie phở I’ve ever had, hands down. They also helped us book a tour, let us rent a motorbike onsite and recommended where to eat. Overall a very lovely stay. Thank you!

A fabulous family run hotel. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The beds were large and comfortable. The customer service was exceptional. The breakfasts were great. The owner was wonderful. She even made special vegetarian broth for our pho. We loved this property and strongly recommend it.

Nothing to dislike! The location is outside downtown Ha Long which might not suit some but it was next to the beach which was a positive thing for us!

The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and well-equipped with everything I needed for a great stay. But what really made my experience stand out was the level of service provided by the host. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed and that my stay was as comfortable as possible. Whether it was providing recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, or simply offering a warm smile and friendly conversation, the host truly made me feel like a valued guest. Beautiful hotel run by a lovely and welcoming family. They were so kind and understanding when we requested to switch rooms because of the beach party happening across the island. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean and the general aesthetic was fabulous for what you pay for.

There were a couple cockroaches we had to kill and it was a little out of town, but apart from that, nothing to complain about.

The owners are a very sweet and helpful family <3 We loved our stay here! The room was super clean, comfortable, and spacious.The hotel is situated in a quiet area (sun plaza grand world). It is walking distance from Halong Bazaar and close to the shoreline. The walk along the shoreline to Bai Chay beach is amazing. We also rented a scooter from the hotel. Highly recommended 👌

Well facilated, everything you can find in the room, great value, clean room, transportation from Noi Bai airport even in midnight was good, although they can change money themselves, show me where can I do it in Golden store
