Room was quite big, very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed, fridge, TV, desk etc. It even had a little balcony you could go out onto. Buffet breakfast was nice, not too many vegetarian options but there was lots of bread so that was good. Reception staff were very friendly. Close to some nice restaurants and sightseeing activities - highly recommend the cable car at night to see the city from below.

It’s quite far from the main Ha Long city, about a 15 minute drive across the bridge but it’s nice and quiet compared to the city so just depends what you prefer.

Very comfortable room, nice bed, daily room cleaning service. There was a breakfast buffet available for 80.000 VND/day. This was nice and contained mostly many Vietnamese options, including noodles, fresh vegetables and fruits, and Vietnamese coffee. Employees were very nice and always willing to give advice and book daily trips for us, including a very nice cruise to various sights including Titop island.

The village that the hotel is in, is very deserted during the off-season. For us, this was no issue, as we also came to the hotel to rest and relax, but it is something to keep in mind when you're looking for a place to party extensively.

The hotel is in a fantastic location — right in the center, so it was super easy to get around and explore nearby spots. There’s a pool on-site, which is great for relaxing, but if you’re more into the beach, it’s just a short walk away. Breakfast was another highlight, with plenty of choices to suit different tastes. Honestly, for the price I paid, I was really impressed with the value.

The hotel is in a perfect location—just a short walk to the marina and entertainment spots, which made getting around super convenient. The service was genuinely great; the staff were friendly and always willing to help. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. What surprised me most was how reasonable the price was for what I got. I think this hotel is a great option for everyone—whether you're traveling alone, with family, or on a business trip.

Nice bedroom , we had some issues withbthe shower and next morning they changed to us . Far from attractions markets etc but quiet .

Breakfast poor . Just pho and some eggs ,sauglsages very dry and overcooked , if you want to be 4 stars you must put english style breakfast on your menu . Some people cant eat pho . At the night a,lot of nice next to us and nobpdy warn them to stop until 2 o clock . Is impossible someone to not listen. Far from attractions markets etc

The cuisine at the hotel was exceptional, with a delightful surprise of traditional pho served at breakfast. I was especially impressed by the outstanding service provided by Phuc at the front desk. He offered thorough and friendly assistance, arranging both a seamless airport transfer and a well-organized cruise tour to explore the beauty of Ha Long Bay

The hotel has a really relaxing vibe. My room was clean and comfortable, and I loved waking up and having breakfast downstairs where there were plenty of choices. What really stood out was the rooftop pool on the 6th floor—absolutely perfect for a quiet afternoon with a view of the bay. The location is also a big plus—just a short walk to the beach, but honestly, the view from the pool was so nice I didn’t even feel the need to go anywhere else.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The hotel owner personally greeted me and the staff offered a cool glass of orange juice while I checked in — such a nice touch after a long trip. The lobby area is stylish and inviting, creating a great first impression. Even though I showed up a bit earlier than the standard check-in time, the team still went out of their way to get me into my room as soon as possible.

This was by far the greatest hotel experience I have had so far in Vietnam. For value for money, it is one of the most incredible hotels I have ever experienced. Thao was so incredible helpful and facilitating during the duration of my stay. She is a wonderful asset to the hotel. We had amazing banter and she ensured I was well taken care of. Also I need to acknowledge Quy and Li Am also as they were both fantastic. The friendliness and warmth I experienced was second to none. If you are looking to visit Ha Long Bay, let the Sunland Halong Hotel take care of it for you. Trust me, it will be worth your while. If I am evwer back in Ha Long, I will 1000% be sure to stay at the Sunland Halong Hotel once again. I recommend it to everyone and anyone.

The receptionist was super friendly and went out of their way to suggest local food spots and fun things to do around town. I really appreciated how easy it was to book a bay cruise directly through the hotel—no hassle at all. They also rent out scooters, which made it so fun and easy to explore the city at my own pace. It felt like more than just a place to sleep—it added to the whole experience of my trip
