Room was quite big, very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed, fridge, TV, desk etc. It even had a little balcony you could go out onto. Buffet breakfast was nice, not too many vegetarian options but there was lots of bread so that was good. Reception staff were very friendly. Close to some nice restaurants and sightseeing activities - highly recommend the cable car at night to see the city from below.

It’s quite far from the main Ha Long city, about a 15 minute drive across the bridge but it’s nice and quiet compared to the city so just depends what you prefer.

Very comfortable room, nice bed, daily room cleaning service. There was a breakfast buffet available for 80.000 VND/day. This was nice and contained mostly many Vietnamese options, including noodles, fresh vegetables and fruits, and Vietnamese coffee. Employees were very nice and always willing to give advice and book daily trips for us, including a very nice cruise to various sights including Titop island.

The village that the hotel is in, is very deserted during the off-season. For us, this was no issue, as we also came to the hotel to rest and relax, but it is something to keep in mind when you're looking for a place to party extensively.

Nice bedroom , we had some issues withbthe shower and next morning they changed to us . Far from attractions markets etc but quiet .

Breakfast poor . Just pho and some eggs ,sauglsages very dry and overcooked , if you want to be 4 stars you must put english style breakfast on your menu . Some people cant eat pho . At the night a,lot of nice next to us and nobpdy warn them to stop until 2 o clock . Is impossible someone to not listen. Far from attractions markets etc

This was by far the greatest hotel experience I have had so far in Vietnam. For value for money, it is one of the most incredible hotels I have ever experienced. Thao was so incredible helpful and facilitating during the duration of my stay. She is a wonderful asset to the hotel. We had amazing banter and she ensured I was well taken care of. Also I need to acknowledge Quy and Li Am also as they were both fantastic. The friendliness and warmth I experienced was second to none. If you are looking to visit Ha Long Bay, let the Sunland Halong Hotel take care of it for you. Trust me, it will be worth your while. If I am evwer back in Ha Long, I will 1000% be sure to stay at the Sunland Halong Hotel once again. I recommend it to everyone and anyone.

The staff is friendly and speaks English well enough to actually hold a conversation. The breakfast buffet is delightful. The room was spotless.

Subtle things (none of which really detracted from my stay, but I notified details): - the shower leaked into the bathroom floor - my view was into a wall (or through another window into a perpetually in fished sister hotel) - the door lock was installed incorrectly. It locked, but I couldn’t double-lock it (not that I really needed to) - electronic switches for a “do not disturb” sign, are too easy to miss, miss-use, or misunderstand. Doorknob hangers are the way to go.

The hotel is new, the rooms are amazing, spa bath and shower. It's like a 4* or 5* hotel suite for a very low price. Place is small so staff is very attentive. We booked the Ha Long tour with them and prices were cheaper than elsewhere. Same with a taxi to Hanoi, cheaper price than Grab and very good luxurious car.

Breakfast buffet was a bit basic in choices but generous in quantities. Sufficient. Location this time of the year (end of December) was isolated, hardly anything going on in the area, looked like a ghost town.

This Hotel is situated away from Halong centre. The area is full of new buildings waiting to be used. When this area takes off it won't be so quiet. But for now it is a surreal setting, with all the buildings and no one around. Just a sort drive to Halong centre or a short walk to Sunworld it does have the best location as far as we were concerned. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the room exactly as described.

Staff was helpful, booked cruise ship for us, transport back to Hanoi, clothes washing… for better price than when you walk into a travel agency ;-) Clean rooms.

The rooms were quite small. The breakfast was OK, with a choice of Pho, bread with eggs,cheese and salad. I would like to see more cereals, yogurt, and some variety of fruits. The location was like staying in a Ghost city lol- nothing much happening there due to us travelling in January. Probably gets busier later in the year. But the trip on a cruise ship was a treat.

This room was larger than our previous room in Hanoi and had a balcony with natural light from the window. I find most budget hotels don't have windows. This place is good value for money and I would stay there again but their marketing photos look much nicer than they do in real life. So make no high exceptions and you will love this hotel. Their staff are super friendly and helpful especially Thao and Anh.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. I was getting a night bus from Ha Gaing that arrived in Ha Long Bay at 4am. The check in staff stayed up to allow me to check in. They organised a day cruise for me and I was able to get some laundry done. When I was checking out the lady gave me some Vietnamese sweets and orange juice while I waited for my bus to take me to Hanoi. Thank you.
