This is next to night market. Great food nearby and 5 min away from ocean. Beach is about 10 min down. Nice place to chill out and nice host that can rent motorbike and bike tickets you need. Great value for Great location if you like night market and plenty of food nearby.

There are a lot of restaurant and food options close by. The night market is less than a block from the hotel. There are some restaurants where you can buy fresh seafood and have them cook it the way you like. I bought a half-kilo of squid for about USD $8.50 and had a great meal of it.

The river mouth is adjacent to the downtown area, so it's great for buying fresh seafood but not a good place to swim. The beaches close to downtown were rocky and had plastic trash on them.

Friendly and welcoming staff who speak some English. Cold drinks for sale in the reception. Excellent location right next to the night market. You can watch the action from the terrace. The rooftop has an unbeatable view of the river, which is full of colourful boats. The room had a fridge and a kettle. It's easy to get here for free from the docks, by the free bus no 20 to Highland coffee, then change to the free bus no 17. Excellent WiFi everywhere.

One of the reasons I booked this Guesthouse was because I was looking for a room with a balcony. For the same reason I did not book the cheapest double room, but the triple room which said 'balcony'. When it says balcony under the ROOM description, you expect it to be a private balcony directly accessed from your room, but there are no balcony rooms! There is a shared terrace which has one table and 2 chairs. I could just as well have booked the cheapest room, so I feel ripped off. The biggest problem was when other people also had a 'balcony' room and we all had just 1 table and 2 chairs. My room had 2 beds and one of them was full of sand. Maybe another single person had the room before me and put sandy things on it, and it hasn't been changed on because it wasn't slept in.

Few places have a/c and fan in same room, mine did!
