Comfortable and nicely decorated room. Looks like royal room! Pleasant bathroom. great breakfast buffet. Hotel also offers free parking for motorcycle rental. And generally good place to stay!

The hotel was full occupancy when on our arrival. we and a few of other guests also had to wait around one hour plus at the lobby to get our room ready. The hotel is located beside a very busy big road. Not possible if you want to take a stroll. There isn't any convenience store nearby to get night snacks. So if you are not locals, it's better for you to take taxi/gojek or rent a motorbike to go around. or you can just order from food delivery app like grabfood

This hotel will be a good choice for people who plan to visit Yogyakarta surroundings - getting to the city center takes a lot of time, but it is situated on the main road which leads outside of the city. The personnel was nice and professional, room was clean and had comfort beds. They also have a pool and restaurant on 8th floor with city panorama.

The room was without view and it was literally no view - you just look at the wall 1m in front of the window. Because of that it was quite dark in the room.

The staff were excellent and particularly our driver Bapak Nugroho, who was such a good driver and guide. Also Bapak Nuri the Duty Manager was very helpful and sorted out our tickets for Borobudur temple.

The wine we wanted with dinner at the hotel restaurant was outrageously expensive and terrible quality.

The hotel is very clean with good service from the staff. The breakfast was very good with variety of dishes to choose for a good meal.

As it is quite an old hotel, some of the amenities need to be upgraded.

When I arrived at the Grand Mercure it was a long weekend including a holidayl and my room leading to the pool was very noisy. At my request my room was changed without any hesitation. Afterwards my problems were solved. The hotel has a a good restaurant with a lot of choice for breakfast and a reasonably cheap lunch buffet. Especially the "es campur" and the sweets were very tasty. Some international dishes are on offer a la carte. Staff is very friendly. I liked to sit at the tables outside and enjoy my food while looking at some beauftiful, typical Indonesian decoration in the swimmingpool area. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately the mall next door was badly hit by Corona. Many places were closed down, the place almost empty.

The pool was pretty warm. Opening times only until 6 pm make it difficult for serious swimmers to use ist because during daytime the pool was often beleaguered by children. The restaurant was not realy cool despite air conditioning.

Excellent hotel , staffs very friendly and courteous, rooms at level 8 are dark snd not well light, curtains cannot open due to facing courtyard n swimming pool .rooms and bed comfortable but shower room wall tiles and floor tiles are slimy and mouldy look like not scrupped for ages. Breakfast excellent plenty of variety n choices. Will come back again

The bathrooms really need a makeover. In my room, the shower door was damaged, the roller blind dirty.

The location was good. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The view was nice (room 913) we were given the room with a nice view. Some people have complained that they were given a view of the wall. The pool was nice but a little cold. The room service breakfast was biiig but took a long time.

The balcony door wasn't closing properly. Some parts of the bathroom was a little dirty, maybe because it's a little old.
