Very beautiful place with an amazing view and a great orchard garden in the middle of Berat old town! A really lovely and family run guesthouse, just under the castle, in walking distance to everything you want to see. Hanging out and having a nice breakfast under a blooming orange tree was just blissful and so relaxing. And sharing the garden with few sweet turtles was really a joy, especially for my teenage daughter;) The rooms have the the most amazing view. Everyone was really helpful, and I was especially thankful for the help with the parking at the steep hill. Would love to come again one day with the rest of my family!

Location is perfect, in the UNESCO protected area of Berat, surrounded by other similar houses. It is on the side of the hill, accessible only on foot for the last 50m or so but it is worth it. The covered terrace (also the breakfast place) offers beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains. We had both dinner and breakfast in this place, they supply a lot of the fruits and vegetables (and rather good wine) from their own farm.

It was a bit too much for one person to cook for everyone, there was some waiting. No coffee or tea at breakfast, we had to ask for it.

Location in the old section, the feeling of the old houses. Breakfast served in the garden in the veranda with great views over Berat. Spacious bathroom. AC. Free parking right in the old town. The staff also helped us with the parking, moving their own car and giving us their space. However be mindful that you need to carry your luggage up the hill a little bit with little bit of stairs, since you cannot park right in front of the hotel which is in pedestrian area only, but it's only maybe couple of hundred meters.

It is a traditional old house,located in a restored village with traditional decorated rooms. The breakfast is rich (for greek standards) prepared by the young girl who owns the hotel hershelf and served in the inner yard.The owners are really friendly and love talking as much as they can-so you can get to know their lives and their problems.It is a must for those who like 19th century feeling but can't travel to middle east-for example the Muezzin cries for prayer at night and early in the morning, there is no noise of tourists making parties and everything can be reached on foot.The car you leave on the street but it is quite safe.

The property is located in the heart of Berat, offering a stunning view of the city and the majestic Tomorr mountain — it truly feels like a perfect picture when you wake up. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities we could need. The garden was full of fresh fruits and flowers, adding to the charm. Breakfast was all homemade, served on a terrace with panoramic views of the entire city. We also had dinner there, and the food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying their homemade jam, lamb meat, "qofte," and their homemade wine — all are perfect companions to the meal. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the lovely couple who owns the property for their warm hospitality and everything they provided. I can’t wait to return!

Villa Elmar was an amazing choice for our stay in Berat. The room was very clean, spacious, and had a wonderful view. It combines leaving in a traditional guest house with modern comondities, like air-conditioning and renovated bathroom. The breakfast was very nice and was served 8.00-10.30 in the veranda overlooking Berat, which was a great start for our day. Also, it was very convenient that the hotel had a dedicated space for parking our car. Andrianna and her family were very kind and helpful and made us feel welcomed!

Warm welcoming hosts. Super comfortable bed and fluffy towels. Room was very clean and the whole building was charming. Beautiful garden to relax in and beautiful views of Berat from the lofty restaurant. Good breakfast included in the room rate. Hosts helped us with our luggage back down the hill to the taxi rank which was unexpected but much appreciated thank you 😊

The hotel is located up a steep cobbled stoned hill so was difficult for less able people but otherwise the hotel is perfectly located for exploring the town of Berat.

The location is in the center of the old section of the city, down the hill from the castle, and close to the pedestrian area of the city and the bridge. Great restaurant, amazing breakfast included, and very helpful staff. They even had turtles in the veranda.

I was a little apprehensive on parking on the street as I saw in past reviews that others have gotten tickets, but did so with their urging and got no ticket. But it did make me concerned while I was there.

The hotel owner parked the car in the private hotel parking, that was a great help! The hotel has a very good location, could visit Berat on foot. Very friendly people. Rooms were very nice, clean, with everything as expected. For dinner we decided to eat in the hotel because the terrace has a very nice view over Berat. We took the menu. It was very, very good!! One of the best meals we had in Albania. The same for the breakfast, it was very good.

A fantastic place to stay. It has a gorgeous garden which was a shady oasis to rest in, especially given the heat. There were tortoises roaming about the garden - how can you better that? The breakfast was huge. Such an amazing array of food. Plenty of hot water for showers and big fluffy bath towels that were very soft. The staff were so friendly. They helped us order a taxi when we left and even rang the taxi to check it had picked us up. Air con in the rooms. Stunning views from the breakfast terrace. We can completely recommend Villa Elmar.
