I’m rating this a 10 because I don’t want to affect this hotels score and because they were so kind enough to give us a refund for our stay. The girls at reception were really understanding and polite about the situation. However, this is the review I wish I saw before booking at the beginning of the season. We stayed at the end of may and nothing was ready for us, it honestly looked like the hotel was abandoned from the outside. The beach bar was non existent and there was construction work on the entrance to the beach. The rooms are really nice, I will give them that, but we had no hot water in our room so really it was a bit of a mess.

Just phone ahead to get a gauge of what you are in for beforehand in terms of what facilities are available. We were extremely disappointed in the stay and the staff were somewhat apologetic, and I feel like it is more dependent on when you go. In general, this is more of a 1/2 night stay because there really isn’t anything around for you to do, especially if it is bad weather.

Staff at beach bar were fantastic & beach food lovely, great pizzas! Beach was lovely & sun beds included. Restaurant even though expensive for the area, was very good. Place was spotless & lovely view.

Sunbeds need to be cleaned, especially if paying extra for cabanas. Starting to get a bit dirty in areas. Staff in the hotel don't speak very good English so we struggled a bit. However, when the restaurant manager realised I spoke Italian, the attitude changed a bit... For some strange reason booking.com & the hotel didn't communicate very well & i kept receiving emails of payment & arrival time, even though i had already paid & was in the hotel! Once again, a current theme in Albania No information given about the hotel & surrounding area.

Beautiful and luxurious hotel steps from pristine beach! Spacious room that fit our entire family of 4. Beautiful views from our hotel room. Our balcony had views of the beach and side garden as well as mountains in the background. The private beach was lovely with clear waters and you could see through to the bottom. We had one of the best meals we have ever had right in our hotel restaurant! Big kudos to the chef! Unbelievable meal with unbelievable ingredients. We had the mixed seafood crudo which was unbelievable and the baked catch of the day which was a big fish called gjel. Omg, have not eaten this well not even in the best NYC restaurants. Fresh ingredients cooked in the best way possible. Big shout out to Tani who was our waiter and was knowledgeable, polite and had the best recommendations food and wine wise!

Loved everything about this property and beach.

Sole Luna is a lovely place located at the Borsh beach which has the most clear blue water one could ever experience. The hotel is very modern, with polite and friendly staff, great breakfast spread featuring many local specialties as well as a variety of fresh and preserved fruit, eggs, meats, cheeses, veggies, and deserts. The accommodations, room, bathroom, balcony, are comfortable and clean. The hotel provides beach umbrellas, beds, and beach towels, which are included and are very nice. This is the Ionian Sea so the water is deep and is great for swimming. The village has a castle, the Borsh castle, dated some 2500 years going back to to the Illyrian Sopoti tribe, which is a bit of a hike but views are wonderful. 10-15 minutes drive away is the Ali Pasha castle, which is another must visit attraction in the area. The numerous restaurants in the area offer pizza varieties from wood ovens all freshly prepared with local ingredients, fresh fish and seafood specialties, local meat, vegetable and salad dishes which are very delicious.

The location was beautiful as we're the views. The rooms were stunning and exceptionally clean. Facilities were very well looked after. Drive nos were reasonably priced. The food was very nice also.

One or two of the staff - namely what appeared to be the head waiter guy- was rude and everything seemed like an inconvenience, no matter how respectful and polite we were. This was at any point throughout the day. Other than the odd one or two they were very accommodating and genuinely nice people. The animal welfare seemed very lacking which is a little upsetting if you are an animal lover. The crepery just up the road had a monkey in a cage which was too small for it, had no water or food in it either. It was by the entrance so as to entice people to come in it would seem. Cats were not in good shape either.

The rooms are very nice, good bedding and smart TV in the room, the bathroom is also modern and clean. The breakfast had a good variety, carefully prepared. The location of the hotel is also one of the best in Borsh, with easy access to the main roads and beaches nearby. The restaurant had very good quality food, also.

The hotel looks overpriced (we paid close to EUR 200 a night) given that there are no facilities, such as SPA, swiming pool or playgrounds. There is no option for additional activities, besides than sitting in the beach area or have coffee at the beach bar. The area surrounding the hotel is underdeveloped, the beach road is not good. The Municipality is nowhere with any project to improve the offer to the tourists.

The position right on the beach and the room size and cleanliness were above expectations. Breakfast was also pretty good and the staff was kind and present.

Parking could be an issue as moving inside the property with a car is not easy. The area is still underdeveloped with an unpaved road, hopefully the municipality will fix this in the future.

The beach was beautiful and right across the street from the hotel. The hotel provided towels as well as sun beds and umbrellas free of charge. It was a very chill beach, perfect for relaxing and having a good time. Great food at the restaurant and bar at the beach. The staff was very kind and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Absolutely no complaints about this place. Right next to the beach, great breakfast included, a really nice restaurant and bar, and exceptional staff, and the beach itself beautiful.
