Hotel Portanova far exceeded our expectations. This accommodation is located in a central location - literally a 2min walk from the beach. It is also close to the city center, but not too close - a perfect balance of a nice evening walk and not being too busy. The hotel itself is super clean and modern. This was one stop on our multi-week trip and was easily the most comfortable bed we slept on. The pillows were great - we especially loved the heavy pillows - fantastic! The bathroom was also super modern, everything worked as expected. WiFi was great, very fast, you can tell that the owners did not skimp on internet speed. Parking was great - the hotel staff helped us out and we felt very safe leaving our car. Breakfast was great as well. Now to the main highlight of the hotel - the hosts! This is a family run business and the owners are some of the most wonderful people we've ever met and that can be felt throughout the hotel and the entire stay! They were there for our every need. We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit Sarande and the area. We will be recommending this hotel to all of our family and friends.

Everything was perfect!

Family run hotel, Spiros and his family really work hard to make sure you feel welcome and that the hotel is in top condition for the guests. The hotel is modern in a good location and very clean with beautiful views of the sea. The rooms are cleaned everyday to a high standard with fresh towels and soaps provided. The free breakfast is made fresh everyday is really good with many options to choose from for everyone. Overall a very positive experience for both me and my girlfriend and we would definitely stay here again.

Cousy hotel runned by fantastic and extremely nice people. They were always worried about our well being, and always available to help us. The room was excellent. Good view from the room. Overall excellent place to stay in sarande.

Very clean room, nice staff, very good breakfast. Except for our bad choice of the room without windows, everything was ok.

I know it's our fault, because we chose it, but I really really don't recommend staying in the ground floor room with no windows. Especially during summer, when you have many wet things from beach you want to be dry in the morning. There was such a high humidity in the room (the air condition was working, but not really helping the situation) - even the clothes that we brought dry were wet after a day in that room. I also missed more places to hang our wet things - like more handles in the bathroom. Also the shower (super nice at first look) - was kind of unpractical, even though I tried really hard - it was impossible to not make big mess in the bathroom.

Modern room with great view and balcony. 2min away from the water and about 12min from the busier areas. Friendly service.

AC did not work in our room unfortunately and wasn't fixed during our stay. Sleeping with open window worked well though.

The room/hotel is very new, modern, comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is good.

The breakfast was ok, but they need to improve it a bit, the food was the same every day, they didn’t have varieties, I mean different options, varieties of bread and juice for exemplo and the items that should be warm, like omelette, eggs, etc, were cold. The shower was very good, but it didn’t get warm enough in the mornings like it got in the evening. But we had a lovely holiday that wasn’t a big problem, we would come back to this hotel for sure!

we arrived at the last day of their season and were the only guest in the entire hotel complex. They could have canceled our reservation but they didn’t. Very professional and reliable. Check in was smoothly and we were provided with 2 bottles of water. The hotel was a little difficult to find there are mog signs in the main street. But we managed to find it after driving around. Hotel is brand new. Facilities in room are stylish and new. Good bed, pillows and strong shower with hot water. Balcony with sea view with construction works before the building. But this seems common in Albania. Beach with facilities few minutes walk. We liked the stroll over the beach and enjoyed the sunset. In one word. A very nice, new, reliable hotel. Highly recommend it.

It’s not near the port with the promenade. We had a car so this was not a problem for us. The breakfast was ok not great.

The hotel is brand new and it was beyond our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable, room service is excellent and the breakfast was quite good. The staff were very friendly and polite and extremely helpful. All in all, it was a great stay!

The only thing worth mentioning was the distance from the city centre, but it wasn’t a problem for us to walk for 1,5 km as we preferred the peace and tranquility of the location.
