Honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in! The room was exceptional, the entire hotel well appointed! The breakfast is to die for alongside the view. I used the gym every day, and like the rest of the hotel seems brand new. Could not like this place more.

Not the hotels issue, but the streets of Gjirokaster are windy, steep and the hotel is on top of the hill. Take the hotel advice and do not use google maps!!

This is one of the nicest places I've ever stay. Views are incredible, selection of drinks and food is great and, most of all, the staff are lovely. The old town is about a 20 minute walk (albeit down a steep hill) and has got loads of options to eat in.

Only very tiny things like the upper pool would be better if it was adults only and could have a better taste in music ;)

We loved pretty much everything about Kerculla resort, the value for money is exceptional given the view and facilities. The whole resort is kept very well and is very clean. The pools are just dreamy and views are spectacular. Nice spacious rooms with aircon and balconies with a view. The staff are lovely and very welcoming. The restaurant in the evening particularly is a must. The breakfast is really impressive too- lots of choice and sweet/savoury options.

The hotel could help guests a little more with being explicit about the tricky drive from Gjirokaster centre- we almost got our hire car stuck following the instructions/signage to reach the hotel! It's worth the headache to get there though! The only other very minor niggle was that to get a drink/ snack around the pool you had to go off in search of a staff member- they could be better at checking in with guests throughout the day.

There is a restaurant available for all meals with a good choice of meals. The breakfast was an amazing feast on the first day, so much that on my 2nd morning I asked them to reduce the offering. REAL Fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. It was also the first hotel who made an excellent iced coffee for me :). Parking is in front of the hotel. Driving up to the hotel was signposted, and slightly different than what google maps was instructing, some of the roads are VERY narrow and steep, so I did have to reverse twice to allow other cars to get through, not an issue, just a mention if you are a nervous driver. The view of the town, the castle, the valley and mountains is amazing. I would love to come during the summer months when the pools are in use :)

There was a storm on the 2nd night which had torrential rain and extremely high winds. My room was down a flight of outside stairs to the restaurant. Most of the rooms require guests to go outside and so does mean that in the bad weather there is likelihood of needing shoes that wont have you falling over on the tiles.

This hotel only has around 10/15 rooms - meaning its very quiet and a pleasure to stay here. The view from our room/ balcony was amazing, overlooking the old town and the castle, with the pool to the side. The hotel feels very luxurious with two small pools, a small gym, and comfortable sun loungers and seating areas. The staff were friendly and approachable and the rooms were comfortable and clean with a kettle included. The restaurant food was lovely and some of the tastiest we had during our whole trip to Albania. Breakfast was also good, with a mix of cereal, pancakes, bread, meats, bakery items, cheese, spreads and salads. There was also parking available for free at the hotel. (Which is needed as its at least a 20 minute walk down a steep hill to get to the bottom of the town).

-The time of year that we visited (September) meant that the pool water was very cold. It is not a heated pool, so with the pools being high up, if there has been rain, or they have recently refreshed the water, it is unpleasant to swim in. Reception staff did warn us of this at check in but it was still a shame as the weather was very warm and pleasant during our stay and we couldn't enjoy the pool facilities. - When travelling here by car, ignore google maps and follow the brown street signs for the hotel. There are very good and will direct you to the hotel fine - other routes can become challenging!

The hotel was on a mountain top, looking down at Gjirokaster! Absolutely lovely view! Amazing infinity pool, Unfortunately for us we arrived during a storm, so could not use it. Food was okay, nothing special. Breakfast was standard. The room itself, was probably one of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in. Really spacious, really well decorated and thought out. View from balcony was spectacular. They provide coffee and tea.

The drive up to the hotel was very difficult, don't follow sat nav, follow signs, and even then we struggled to get there as it was steep slopes.

- food at restaurant was great - spectacular views - upgraded to a nicer room with a balcony - room was stylish and modern

- could just be that we visited during off season but the level of customer service seemed to vary. The pool area cleanliness was also not maintained to a high standard (sun beds are not clean and tables didn't get cleared for hours) - the lack of basic amenity of either having an iron in the room or service to get clothes ironed free of charge - if you needed to iron clothes there is a fee

Great scenery and location with fresh air. 15mins walk down to the town, believe they provided transportation too if required (we had our own car). Room was good size. Amazing view during breakfast from the restaurant/terrace.

Shower design, water gets everywhere. One of the roller windows were broken. Loud dog. We paid for a higher level room but don't believe we got a higher class room, there is no way the room we stayed in was 55sqm as advertised on Booking.

Stunning hotel with amazing views. The bedroom felt luxurious and the pool was the perfect place to relax.

Nothing we really enjoyed our stay.

The views, the setting and staff at Kerculla were all fantastic. Whether at the start or end of their shift, everyone at the resort always had a smile for us and couldnt have been more helpful. The view from the pool was breathtaking and the hotel was very well maintained.

We were already in Albania when we got the message that the hotel prefers you to pay in cash for the booking. Withdrawing large amounts of cash overseas can be quite expensive so it would have been better if we'd known before we'd travelled that we needed to be be prepared for that.
