I was actually surprised about this hotel, because being located on Lavalle street, I was expecting it to be somewhat older. However, I was very happy to find a new style hotel, and very well kept. I was lucky to get a good rate that I made even better by paying in cash after selling US dollars at the "blue dollar" rate just before arriving to the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, it had a small fridge with some drinks/snacks you could buy, a laptop safe, AC unit and cable TV. The following day they were kind to store my luggage for me, and I even used the lobby to rest and work on my laptop while I waited for my time to go to the airport. I would happily stay here again if the occasion arises.

I cannot think of anything that bothered me about this hotel. I didn't try their breakfast but you are spoilt for choice at cafes nearby, so I can't give my opinion about that. The area, basically just metres from Buenos Aires most famous pedestrian intersection, can get a bit desolated late at night, just like the rest of the Microcentro. And if you have a car picking you up during the daytime, you'll have to walk up to the next corner, but this is really a very small bother all considered.

The staff is great, very helpful. The location is the best 👌 The room was comfy, clean, and perfect for a solo traveler. I can't account for the food because I didn't eat in the hotel. Recommend if you want a centric location where everything is near you!!!!!

The hot water was absent the last 2 days of my stay

The location was absolutely perfect and within walking distance of everything you will need to enjoy Buenos Aires...and within an hour or so of walking to most of the must see attractions

The bathroom was small and the layout was ridiculous...the door opened inwards which was not a problem, however it was so small that the door kept banging against the toilet and if you sat there doing you business, you literally had no room to be comfortable...I'm sorry for not taking pictures but this bathroom is suffering from a serious design flaw...not very well thought out... The gym was not very well maintained... The room itself had no chair to sit on or a table to place anything

Very good location, quite nice bed, strong wi-fi connection. A great value for the price we paid (roughy 45 EUR at black market rate - it would be around 55 EUR at the official rate)

1. I find it very old style that - before letting you check-out - they ask the cleaning lady to check that nothing is stolen from the room. 2. The lady at the reception was quite distant and bored to the point of seeming annoyed at our presence. She performed her tasks of registering us and charging our card, but without any smile or any attempt to help us. It is a personal thing - the two gentlemen we interacted with at the reception were nice - but still a poor level of customer service that makes all of a difference in the perception of a customer. Overall relatively minor issues. For the price I paid, I would certainly stay there again.

Fantastic location - Lavalle is a pedestrian street with lots of shops and small eateries, walking distance to the shopping centres and a lot of other downtown areas incl Av Florida. Wifi code needed to be entered each day but was otherwise reliable. Very reasonable price. Beautiful reception area with plenty of places to sit and chill. Breakfast was included - savoury and sweet items, scrambled eggs, deli meats, fruit. The lifts were small and took a little time to arrive. Was pleasantly surprised they had a small gym. The room was compact - a bit difficult to fit two people plus two large suitcases but we managed. The mini fridge was helpful as we arrived in a heatwave. Storage cupboards and bedside lamps were great. Hotel staff helped pre-arrange taxi to pick us up from airport which was so helpful.

Minor things: cars can only access the road at certain times when there are no pedestrians (so our taxi driver had to drop us off at a nearby intersection rather than directly in front of the hotel. The central climate control for the room was quite noisy. The gym didn't have strong climate control or air-conditioning so was very stuffy. Also no towels in the fitness area (or spare ones in the room).

Very nice room and service from staff, also good location.

At the time we stayed in Grand King we had an unusual not positive experience, it wasn't related to the hotel or its staff, however it had an effect in our experience there. Guests apparently above us were having an extremely loud sex night, and after that they started moving all the furniture in their room during all night. The noise and inconvenience was so loud that even affected other guests. Reception tried to call several rooms (including ours) after midnight to ask for respect and silence which wasn't achieved... If you're reading this think of your attitude next time you are in a hotel room. A hotel is a public place, where respect and consideration for other people should be responsibility not only of the property but also of the guests.

Location was ideal. Very walkable area, near many of the city’s attractions. The hotel was clean and safe. It was a great central location for us to explore the city from.

It was great that breakfast was served until 10 am, but if we were there after 9am many items were empty and the eggs were cold. Also there was a lot of noise from the streets at times, but that should be expected if you are in the middle of Buenos Aires.

Great location, just on the edge of microcentro. Good rooms and very pleasant and helpful staff. I did not try the breakfast, but looking into the restaurant, it seemed more than adequate and good value for money. Some great bars and restaurants nearly - pick up the discount vouchers at the hotel reception. Definitely my 'go to' hotel in BsAs for the future.

Previously I was very critical of the way that the microcentro area had gone downhill. On this trip I found that it has noticeably improved. Maybe the new president is already working his magic, but to be fair the only way from the depths to which it had descended was up.

Hotel is close to the Corrientes Avenue which is the main one in Buenos Aires (The Obelisk, Guerrin Pizzeria and Cadore Gelato are all on Corrientes Ave). A plethora of small restaurants are located in the hotel's vicinity and is close (a 34 minute walk) to "Mafalda's Statue" a place of pilgrimage for the followers of this iconic cartoon character that inspired the latin-american youth of the 70's and 80's.
