There are small things throughout the hotel that need to be repaired, like toilet handles and doorknobs.

The ambiance is very amazing. Location is great, close to the center of the city. And the staff people are really great and kind.

the rooms are kinda old, the heater was not working properly and we didn't have heated water, only cold.

Locations wasn’t bad and room rate was great but we expected way more based on reviews and photos

Hotel room and some common areas are in very poor condition. We were all given towels with holes and tears. Breakfast was bad.

We arrived at around 10pm. The desk clerk was rude to my wife. The check-in process took a half an hour. The property consists of an hotel and a number of cabanas but they are a short distance away through a different entrance on the other side of the road. The hotel room my children stayed in was adequate but the air conditioning was weak. My wife and I went to the cabana. First, the door lock was is disrepair, it took a full minute to jiggle the key just right to open or lock the door. In the master bedroom there was a large ant colony living in the wall, with ants running around on the walls. Some sort of rodent excrement was on the pillows! I returned to the desk for another room. The rude boy was replaced with a sweet woman. She gave another room in the hotel so we could be near our children. This new room had broken air conditioning. I went back the desk a second time. The desk clerk took me to a third room that did not have a control for the air conditioner. We went to a fourth room that finally was in full service. It was now around midnight. In the restaurant the next morning there was a stray cat walking around. The food was decent and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant staff was pleasant.

When we arrived, they gave us a room inferior to what we requested and paid for. That night we had a tarantula in our room, which was the size of my hand. The next day we asked to be moved to the cabana, which was the accommodation we requested. The refrigerator was probably about 30 years old, completely rusted and didn't run. The towels were dirty and stained. The bathtub had a big rusty hole in the bottom, so when you showered the water flowed out all over the bathroom floor. The tub also creaked and yielded when you got in, giving the impression it was going to break at any moment. The swimming pool need to be fixed. The pool is shallow and they tiled the floor with a very slippery tile. When you are getting in and out, you have to careful not to fall and get hurt. You can only get ice during the hours the restaurant or pool bar are open. They are open very limited hours. The bar by the pool only serves beer and a few basic drinks. The breakfast was quite unimaginative. Tried to speak to the manager but he refused to talk with me. I could see him through the glass on the wall just sitting there speaking to some other guy, but he told the desk clerk he would not speak with us. We were supposed to stay there 4 nights but left after 2. Booking.com tried to get a reply from the manager, on our behalf and they ignored Booking also. Disputed the entire charge on my Visa card and am waiting to see if they reply. I would have given them a ZERO but that was not an option.
