The location and staff was good. They have a very nice pool and ambience outside. They should work on room facilities and interior.

The location is OK

The service was terrible. People at the reception were very rude. Booking shows a price in pesos and they charge you 60% more when you arrive. They made up an exchange rate of 250 pesos for one dolar, while the actual exchange rate is 160 pesos for one dollar. They demanded to be paid immediately and the amount that they determined. The guy threatened with calling "his uncle that works at the police" if he would not get his money immediately. The pool was dirty for 50% of the time only after people conplained they cleaned it. Then it was fine. There was a lot of noise at the pool because they were doing repairs (drilling on metal). When I asked for how long they would continue they told me I could leave if it bothered me. The breakfast was very bad, 2 hard breads, instant coffee, and thee. The bed was uncomfortable, but in general the room was acceptable. The towels were stained but seemed to have been washed. Overall, i don't recommend this hotel.

They would not honor my confirmed reservation when we showed up late at night leaving us stranded.

I had a really big isse here. I was close to that I just call the police because of this treatment. I asked the hotel staff to call me a taxi and the taxi driver tricked me and after I could not get the invoice. I tried to ask the invoice from the taxi driver but he went away. I clearly asked the hotel staff to call the taxi and take me to the Iguazu national park for an Argentinian side. They told me it is 21 US$. I told okay I pay in Argentin money and they told me it is fine. Then when I was in the taxi the driver turned back with me to the hotel because he could not accept Argentinian money. Then the hotel staff charged my card for 20.000 ARS what is approximatelly 57 US$. Not for 21 US$ what they mentioned previously. I can send you the money transfer if you want from my bank account. Then the taxi driver took me to a totally different place what I aggreed with the hotel staff! I landed on the BRAZILIAN side of the Iguazu, because the taxi driver took me to another country. Unfortunately I had no internet on my phone, in this case I could not check the map during the route and I am just realized I am in Brazil. I did not planned to visit in Brasil I just wanted to see the Argentinian side of the falls. I am way back to Argentina and when I arrive to Buenos Aires I will contact with the Hungarian consul because of this kind of treatment. This La Familia Hotel is maybe better to change thr name: La Maffia Familia. I recomment to avoid. Best Regards,
