Everything about our stay was excellent. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also spacious. Make sure you're not given an accessibility room as the shower has a curtain and the water splashes a bit, however, on our second stay here we were 'upgraded' to a room with a shower screen and it was great! It also had a vanity. The room had good bench room for bags and tables for dining. The windscreen cleaners and bucket of soapy water outside in the common area was a thoughtful touch for travellers. There's also a restaurant, which we didn't use this time.

I didn't like that we were given a room that was for guests with accessibility issues on our first stay here. We didn't request that and the shower had no vanity to place bathroom products, while the shower only had a curtain and water splashed a bit outside the area.

- Host Should disclose their restaurant is now shut friday - sunday. I pay more to find a property in the booking tool that says it has an onsite restaurant so I dont need to go out again after a 6 hour drive......Manage expectations and watch your ratings improve. We notice this occurs a lot of places now (not just this property) and wonder why the booking tool isnt aware of this practice or the hosts let you find out at check in......I will be more focussed next time I book anywhwere to ensure what is offered is available.

Set back off the Sturt Hwy but quiet. The room was fine and clean and the bed was comfortable. Loved the fact that they provided windscreen washing equipment... a good thing to remove the bugs from the Hay Plain drive. Hay used to be a town we avoided on our trips between Adelaide and Canberra but it is now our usual midway stop. The town is nice, lots of walking paths along the river and the Bistro in the local pub provided good food.

The only downside, but its not a biggie, our room was a corner room so it didn't have parking at the door. There was no shortage of parking, just not as convenient.

The hospitality at Comfort Inn Bishops Lodge Hay was amazing; nothing was any trouble. They were very welcoming on arrival and checked in to see if we were comfortable and needed anything else. They provided everything you needed and what you would expect from a quality regional hotel/motel stay. Even though the restaurant was not available, they had many quality recommendations locally. We had travelled from Adelaide—a long drive—so we were very grateful for the welcome and organized check-in!

We stayed in a disability-access room, which was very comfortable, but we found the shower drainage not great and sprayed everywhere. I am aware this would not be the fault of the current owners, and it shouldn't be a deterrent to staying in one of these rooms as it was manageable.

Nice sized rooms that were clean with a decent sized fridge/freezer for the room. The beds were comfy and the shower had great water pressure. It is located outside of town but the nearby pub isn't too far to get some food and a drink.

The front of the room allowed for noise to come through pretty easily. I felt bad leaving so early in the morning and I think I may have woken a neighbour because the carpark is gravel.

We liked everything, comfy bed, nice size room, lovely clean bathroom with nice hot shower and excellent toiletries, very well set up sink/bench/hutch area and value for money with discount from Booking.com

On arrival reception was not happy that I did not reply to text and arrived a little after 5pm as being a Sunday was informed it was after hours. Had been driving all day and hadn't looked at my texts and didn't feel it was after hours for a motel.

We have stayed at Comfort Inn Bishops Lodge a few times and always find it comfortable and clean. It is the perfect stop between the Barossa Valley where I have family and Taralga where I live. There are plenty of dining options close by.

We would prefer the rooms behind reception as this time we were in a room facing the Sturt Hwy and it was a little noisy, not too bad but would prefer the rooms in the back

Comfy beds, good airconditioner, great shower, easy parking and quality toilet paper. The day we arrived was one of the nights that the restaurant operates and so we went there and the food was very good.

The rooms are about 100m off the highway and so there is regular truck noise during the night ... only a problem if you are a light sleeper.

The room, location, facilities, staff and price were fantastic. Best of all the bed was super comfortable and beautifully made.

The strong sweet smell of a cleaning product. It was overpowering and the room needed airing to make the room smell nice. It isn't a terrible smell, the cleaning team just need to use waaaaay less (or none at all, as the rooms are so clean 😊)

The room was spacious and well presented. Everything was clean. The room was well equipped and everything worked. A very comfortable stay after a long drive. We didn't meet any staff, but everything was ready for us. I particularly appreciated having buckets with squeegees on the verandah for cleaning windscreens before departing - very thoughtful.
