I had two bookings one bed for my uncle who was very happy and 3 bed for my family. We all enjoyed our time. The apartment was great. I have stayed at in the beach about ten years ago and it remains a great location to stay. Would recommend to friends. Beautiful sunrises and swims. We were blessed with great weather 😊

Loved the apartment. The 3 bed front door has an issue with it slamming because the pressure thing that slows the door for a soft close is broken. Not a big issue as we placed a towel there but the neighbour initially was not so happy as it happened a few times when we first arrived. Also a set of kitchen tongs and cutting board would be awesome.

Thoroughly enjoyed the view from our ground floor apartment across the pool to the sea and the convenience of walking directly across the road to the patrolled safety netted beach and the 4 minute stroll to restaurants, shops and the bus stop. The room was very clean and comfortable with separate air-conditioners in the living room and bedroom and a well equipped kitchenette. We enjoyed the warm water and size of the pool and jacuzzi, the surrounding gardens and BBQ that were all well maintained on a daily basis. The carpark is conveniently located at the back of the apartment. I would definitely stay here again.

Lack of security onto the property as a group of young men walked in off the street late afternoon when reception was closed with an esky and a couple of dogs to use the pool and drink alcohol. There's also no handrail for the in ground jacuzzi so it was difficult to get in and out. Climbing in and out of the bathtub to shower was also awkward whereas a walkin shower is easier and safer. The room is only serviced once a week for long stays and there was only a broom and mop in the apartment, so I highly suggest a vacuum cleaner be included for the carpet as we asked to borrow a vacuum cleaner but had to wait 6 days for the carpet to be cleaned.

Beach front location with beach access across the road where netted area and beach showers are. Dated but quiet building with lift, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with balcony facing sunrise (actually next building to On the Beach, called Seashell boutique apartments). Sound of ocean waves 24h. Very comfortable bed. Good hot shower and pressure. Well positioned near Il chiosco cafe with excellent coffee, brunch, lunch and dinner options and 'main' shops (pub, convenience store, NV Cafe and Italian restaurant). Bus stop for 111 bus is also near main shops and takes you to Cairns for $4.20 (1h trip) or to Smithfield shops (has Coles and Woolworths) for $3 (1/2 h trip), bus only accepts cash and stops and timetables are easy to navigate by downloading Moovit app. Friendly locals and no riff raff. Very enjoyable stay.

Air con didn't work on arrival, so during the first night the heat was unbearable but issue was resolved the following day. Dated decor and furnishings, old carpet in bedrooms, peeling laminate from bathroom cabinets. Microwave didn't work. No washing sponge in kitchen. No box of tissues. No USB bedside charger. Extended episodes of rain resulted in debris and brown water at the beach, probably runoff from the river which isn't far away. There was a 1m crocodile sighting one afternoon which closed the beach for the afternoon. The locals had seen it swim away so no one was worried. There have been stingers at the beach but fortunately no stings experienced by our family despite daily swims.

Great views from top floor balcony Extra towel for swimming pool. Comfortable bed. Great airconditoning Great view of beach from balcony & inside.. Close to restaurants. Undercover parking at back Would definitely come back again & recommend to family & friends..

Sadly No elevator..:-( 32 stairs to top floor.. Bad phone reception & Wi-Fi cutting in & out. Really small narrow bath with no safety hand rails. Hot swimming pool temperature, obviously due to really hot weather. Noisy drunk loud young patrons in swimming pool until late at night, pretty sure had come in from appartments next door..

Great location, central to everything we needed. Walking distance to local bars and eateries. Very quiet.

No lift for luggage, had to carry our luggage up 3 levels of stairs. A few basics not supplied, cutlery is lacking (only 1 steak knife) and no salt or pepper. Cooking facilities need an upgrade, limited options for preparing meals. Larger blockout blind needed in the bedroom as the security lights from outside light up the bedroom even with the small blind down. Lighting in the apartment could do with a change out from the warm yellow lights to cool white.

Loved the location, great flow in the apartment. Loved the outdoor seating area. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Perfect location for a family holiday. We didn't realize the apartments are individually owned and the names on the map ie blue Marlin is the building, not the apartment. , Nancy the lovely girl at reception explained she can send a video if possible. The photographs on site are a random mixture of some under the umbrella of On the Beach apartments. Our apartment was nicely decorated.

It is a little tired but great value.

Perfect location with ocean and beach views. Short walk to restaurants and the fabulous L'Unico Trattoria and Trinity Beach Hotel. Directly opposite the swimming enclosure and free BBQ area. Plenty of parking close to the unit.

The unit is a good size, but the cabinetry is a bit dated, although fully functional. The kitchen could do with some updated appliances and cooking equipment. Pool was nice, some minor algae - but this is a tropical location, and the water was definitely santitised and safe for swimming. The spa was out of order, which was not an issue for us. I have no complaints otherwise, I would stay here again.

The location could not be better. The life guarded swimming area is just across the street (a quiet dead end road). The apartment is spacious and well equipped and the top floor balcony has a view of the beach and hotel pool.

The internet connection was really LOUSY - at first we thought it was the distance from the reception area but this can’t be the reason because occasionally for a short time there was a good signal then it disappeared completely. We are non-smokers and found the smoke fumes on the balcony very unpleasant. If the glass door was open these spread through the woke apartment. Obviously one of the neighbors (perhaps long term resident) were heavy smokers.

The views and location were exceptional. It was a large apartment perfect for our family. I loved that we could park the car underground and felt very secure within the apartment block. Having a pool was a highlight for the kids.

There appears to be a leak in the ensuite bathroom. After we had a shower the bedroom carpet at the entrance to the bathroom was always wet. I suspect the owner is probably aware given a door mat has been placed on the floor in front of the bathroom. It would also have been nice to have a pair of scissors and tongs available for cooking etc.

Even though we could not stay here for our stay due to unforeseen circumstances, (Broken Air Conditioner) which was not the property's fault. Old unit and had just gone through Cyclone Dec 2023. The Manager Gerald was very apologetic and rang around to get us another apartment close by which he did at the same cost for what we had paid and close by within walking distance as we had family staying in another room at "On the Beach" to spend Christmas together. We stayed one night the location was excellent, apartment was very roomy and spacious and very clean. We had our 3 grandchildren with us well laid out apartment. Pool was very close and beach just across the road. With in walking distance to some great cafes and restaurants. Would definitely recommend On the Beach. We will definitely book with them again.

The only thing was that our rooms were not in the same block as our other family members. There are 3 separate blocks of apartments. But on saying that we had booked our apartment beginning of year and second one was booked after mid-year. Just in future I would ask for apartments to be near each other as being Christmas we wanted to use the Bar-B-que facilities and swim in the pool together with spa. That was the three main things we were after. But not On the Beach apartment's fault. So definitely not complaining unforeseen circumstances at this time of year. Cyclone Jasper 2023.
