Location - just a stroll to the beach. The gardens and quiet spaces are tranquil and so well maintained. The area is quiet with proximity to a shopping centre and a great place to return to after days exploring different attractions. The onsite manager, Linda, is lovely and isn't intrusive. There's a great library of books and DVDs plus games. A beautiful BBQ area with a water feature. Our room was on the top level - modern and clean, with water glimpses. Stays over 7days also receive a room service with new linen and a clean.

The smell in the front loader washing machine wasn't pleasant. Possibly a build up over time from the door being closed and no air ventilation in the bathroom. We did what we could to address the issue - drum cycle, hot wash without clothes and rinse with vinegar but couldn't fully erase the smell.

Simple but very clean and comfortable, self contained unit type accommodation. Very good value for money with a restaurant across the road and the beach just 5 minute walk from the unit. The unit was ground floor with easy access which would suit those with mobility issues or a wheelchair.

The bottom bed sheet was a little small and kept coming out from base of bed. More light is needed near/in the shower alcove. Really small things really. Google maps kept directing me to the top of the road to other accommodation.

Perfect little spot. Loved walking down the beachfront and through little bush walk to Palm Cove each morning to get a coffee (about 1hour walk but lovely, especially in the morning at sunrise or nighfall). Great location around the corner from the beach, restaurant, and tennis court next door. On main bus route (daily pass for Zone 5 is $9.60AUD) so you can easily access the local Coles supermarket and shopping centre, cafes, restaurants and swimming spots down at Palm Cove and across to the next bay at Trinity Beach (would recomend Trinity Beach spot as it is semi shaded in the afternoon). Parking on-site or free street parking all around. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable with a nice bed, crisp white linen and towels, and well stocked full kitchen - has everything you need. Would recommend the bottom floor so you can extend out onto the back paint and garden. Staff lovely, no fuss and let you get on with things.

When I visited, it was stinger season (jellyfish, from November-April) so there were no netted safe ocean swimming spots near by. There is one 15min walk north up the bay, but it is only open on weekends. Need to travel to the lifeguarded netted spots at Palm Cove or Trinity Beach to swim. Can easily access if you have a car (plentiful free parking in both spots) or via bus. Can also walk to Palm Cove, but would not recommend in mid-day heat as it is a 1 hour walk - only in early morning or night when it is cooler.

I had a fantastic time at Clifton Sands,beautifully beach away from more noisy beach front areas.Well equipped one bedroom apartment and comfortable bed.Highlight was seeing some dolphins on an early morning walk down on the beach.

It was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The apartment had everything you could want for a short stay. Walking tracks and easy access to public transport meant no car required. Linda was a fabulous host - warm, helpful and kind.

Perfect size for a couple, very spacious and clean. Quiet location and short walks to the beach. We were on the first floor.

The bed was very very hard. Don’t know about the other apartments. There is no coffee shops or van in the area. Internet wasn’t good.

For me I would have preferred a ground floor apartment because of the stairs

We had an excellent experience staying at Clifton Sands Holiday Units and will be back. This applies right from the arrival when we got the key to the apartment at the reception. Here sits Linda, who is very helpful in answering all sorts of questions and is service-minded. The apartment is the right size, with a super kitchen and a nice balcony. The apartment is close to the beach, shopping facilities, cafes, and restaurants.

The location was great for us. It was quiet but within walking distance to Palm Cove if we wanted. Everything we needed, was within walking distance.

The only thing I would say, is the bathroom Floors were not very clean and hope the cleaners are not pulling the wool over the lovely land Lords eyes as she was absolutely wonderful.

I liked everything about the apartment. It has kind of a dutch vibe.. its very comfy. The location is great, I recommend to rent a car to see Daintree and the south. You find a lot of flyers for daytrips you can also ask Linda for any recommendations. She suggestet Seastar for a snorkel trip to the reef, and it was the best divingtrip i had. :)
