What didn't we like?. Stayed with my aging mother (two beds) and after a long trip they looked after us. So friendly, willing to chat and have a laugh and very accommodating. Upgraded us to assist with my mothers needs and wants. The beds were so comfortable, had the biggest tv screen I've ever seen, sliding doors to outside (which I adore bc hate being boxed in a room) and they gave us a room with a bath. Drink options supplied in the room (for extra cost, but affordable). The Restaurant was convenient and had everything you could want from soft drinks to cocktails. Food was amazing. Highly recommend dining here any night. We decided to stay an extra night bc of how great this place was. Love our stay. Thank you so much for all you did.

No complaints at all. Very hard to even find something that was out of place. Everyone was friendly, the place was clean and accessible.

We used the on site restaurant for an evening meal. Selection was excellent, food good and very friendly serving staff. We had intended to breakfast there , also but were still too well satisfied with our evening meal, so hit the road, instead!

There was nothing that we were unhappy with! Of course it could have been newer,cheaper, bigger rooms, more of this or that but why be negative about a place we will happily return to? We had all everything we needed. We made use of the electric blankets .... it is cold overnight in Naracoorte, but there was a/c if we had needed it and an extra blanket in the wardrobe.

This was our second stay, so we knew what to expect. The room was comfy, plenty spacious enough. Room for our cases, plus a table and a settee. It is on the outskirts of Naracoorte, but still only a few mins to drive to shops. Good choice of tea bags unlike other places which offer green tea etc etc but barely one English Breakfast. The fridge was convenient.

It was a bit tricky to fill the kettle in the bathroom sink. The taps over the bathroom sink were either dripping or turned off so tightly it was hard to turn them on - take your choice, but in a drought with water shortages, we opted to turn them very tightly.

The room had a lovely view over grassland and ancient trees looking towards the High School. The room was very clean, comfortable and well set up with fridge and Electric jug. There was room service for breakfast and we ate at the Highlander Restaurant for dinner, on the premises. The meals were excellent with many drinks on offer. The continental breakfast was ample and well presented. All the staff were friendly and intelligent. I loved the well-cared for fish pond and named the colourful fish Autolycus.

The TV wasn't a 'Smart TV' But it was adequate... we weren't there to sit and watch tele. There's a lot to see and do around the township, including the caves and the food and wine festival in February.

The owners and other staff were lovely, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. There were coffee and tea facilities, toaster etc which was great and some supplies in the room. Softdrinks in the fridge, some wine etc. I would definitely stay again.

The only thing I could write here is part of our experience in the restaurant. Again the staff were so lovely. We were exhausted after a big day of driving so very hungry. It took over 40 minutes to get our order which might have been just a small issue on the day. We did, however, order our desserts to the room - great idea - They were amazing!! Food was very good - $40 for a main. (higher for high quality local steak)

We stayed in a standard double room which was very clean and comfortable. It was a good sized room with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. There was a nice view our the window of their garden area and it was great watching the finches sitting at the table provided having a glass of wine. They provide all needed for our short overnight stay. A fridge with a small freezer handy if you need to refreeze blocks for the esky. Even though the Motor Lodge is just off the main road it was very quiet. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed a lovely meal in their Highlander Restaurant which we would highly recommend.

Just a couple of minor things - that certainly would not stop us staying again. There was only one extra pillow provided. Also, there was coffee, tea etc provided however there was nothing provided to stir in the suger. Also no cutlery was provided in the room but we were informed that if needed you can ask for it from reception

Receptionist was very friendly when we checked in around 5:30pm. She directed us to our room which was a comfortable, no-frills, motel room with a car port directly outside and she advised that the (humble looking) restaurant area was still serving food until 8:30pm. So far, no surprises and a standard motel experience.....that was until we decided to take up that offer to have some evening chow at the restaurant and were treated to hands down THE best meal of our entire trip!!!....my entree Oysters were the best I've ever tasted!, my steak was cooked to perfection and the butter sauce that accompanied it was to-die-for! my wife is still raving about her vegetarian spaghetti! The wine (a 2015 vintage red, can't remember the name) that we had with our meal was equally spectacular! And the service by the restaurant and kitchen staff was also amazing. In fact, this meal and dining experience was SO GOOD that even the meal we had a few days later at Rockpool in Melbourne with Gordon Ramsay sitting at the table next to us couldn't better it!! So, I apologise to the good people of Naracoorte if you've been trying to keep this place a secret, but I would thoroughly recommend an evening meal at the William McIntosh Motor Lodge to absolutely everyone!!

Nothing to fault

Everything was great! Staff who greeted us were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfy, the newly renovated bathroom was great, the kitchen facilities were terrific, the fridge worked really well and the place exceeded our expectations. The staff were more than happy to give me some ice blocks for my G&T!!! We were in Naracoorte to photograph the polocrosse competition - always a highlight when coming to Naracoorte!!!

It was a bit far out of the main town but this was not an issue as we had a car.

The staff was very friendly they were great and having the wood fire pizzas they did great job very nice

The room we stayed in well once we opened the door it smelt very damp in the room it was a bad smell for awhile. And we paid for a spa room well the spa had broken bits in it and it was a very out dated spa for the cost of what we paid for the room with spa it's not worth the money we paid .The room had no face washes The baslin in bathroom looked liked very out dated . And also it would of been good to have MILK as it had tea and coffee but no milk and after driving for hours a nice cuppa tea would of been great .

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Comfy bed. Had everything I needed, good size bathroom facilities, air con for heating, good sized TV (I stayed in the Standard Double Room). Bedding was warm enough, so I didn't use the electric blanket. The restaurant was great, I had a really lovely meal, and they had gluten free options, which is perfect for me. A nice one night stay on the way to Adelaide.

The fridge was quite noisy, but I had ear plugs which helped. It was slightly outdated decor, but that didn't take away from the experience as everything I needed worked well.
