We had booked a room for 2 nights to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. On our arrival, we were told that we had been given a complimentary room upgrade and there was a lovely card and a bottle of champagne as a gift from them. The upgrade included a free mini bar in the room. This was kept well stocked for our enjoyment. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and super comfy with a huge bathroom, lots of space to put your belongings and a deep freestanding bath with a view! The food and drinks were second to none and the service was fabulous (special mention to David at the front desk!)
I can honestly say that the worst thing about leaving this place was only having 2 nights there. I was perfect for a romantic time with your partner!

The cabin was comfortable and well maintained. The rooms offered some reasonable space, although the lounge for 4 overcrowded the living area. Loved having a kitchen space and a good bathroom. The access to a free laundry was very welcome, although 2 washing machines and 2 driers isn't a lot for the number of guests. Especially when people monopolise more than one machine with only a few items and then don't come back to empty them. But that's a people problem and out of the control of the lodge. Views were, as always, stunning. The staff were excellent.
The bistro menu was, at best, average. Selections were limited and unexciting. In the end, we were much happier with eating at the restaurant.

We had a lovely time at the lodge. The location and the rooms were fantastic and the dinner and breakfast were excellent! We travelled to Tasmania for my partners birthday, and the Lodge emailed us asking for my Partners name, and whether we why we were travelling. They had a bottle of birthday champagne in the fridge on our arrival and then another couple of glasses of birthday champagne at dinner. Many places ask why you are travelling but then don't do anything with the info. The breakfast was fantastic with both cooked options to order and a wonderful continental buffet.

- The location is ideal. - The restaurant staff from the manager to the waiters are smiling, friendly and ready to serve you. - The room is comfortable and well adapted to the environment. - The food is of very good quality.
- The view we had when we were leaving the room was that of the deposit of old sofas to be thrown away. This is not acceptable for the category of the lodge and the price we paid. - The bistro closes relatively early in the afternoon forcing customers to go to the more expensive restaurant. - It would be better to have an "open buffet" for "hot" breakfast instead of the "fixed" menu choices offered.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at the lodge! On arrival, we asked to see if there was a waterfront room available for us to upgrade to and the lovely staff member, I think her name was Fran, was super attentive and patient and booked us into one of the waterfront lodges. It took our breath away. The outlook onto the sea was beautiful and I loved being nestled into the trees. The lodge was impeccably clean and we loved the bar snacks available. (Especially the Anzac biscuits!) The sparkling wine was delicious and we enjoyed this in the outdoor bath. It was such a peaceful stay. We also wanted to book a helicopter tour for the next morning which she organised for us. We were so appreciative because this was very last minute. Dinner at the restaurant on site was incredible as well. The venue is lovely as it looks over the water and every table in the room had a view, it was set out so well. The food was delicious! Especially the oysters which we ordered another round of. A great selection of impressive wines - I loved the Chardonnay. I should also mention the location was amazing. Close to many of the sites within the NP. There is a lovely view and you can walk to Honeymoon Bay from the lodge. In my opinion it has the best location out of all of the high end accomodation options available. We only stayed one night here but look forward to returning one day and staying longer.

Room was spacious and nicely furnished. It was a nice surprise to have a welcome gift in the room. The only downside was the tap configuration meant you could only fill cups / glasses and not a water bottle or jug. Restaurant and bistro were both excellent.
No bar in the main restaurant meant we didn’t get our pre dinner drinks till we were almost finished our entree. The bar prioritised walk in orders over the restaurant drink orders. Ours was a simple beer from can and a glass of sparkling, which took over half hour to get. Then the beer was the wrong type and the glass of sparkling was sticky on the handle (due to shared bar) so both had to be swapped over. I think their system could be improved so that the fine dining restaurant experience is not marred.

Freycinet Lodge is a winner given its location right on the water and just inside the national park and it's construction. Unobtrusive cabins that nestle into the environment make you feel like you are living right in the woods - but in all the comfort of a lovely cabin. Bathrooms were spacious with a great shower and great hair/body products. Beds were very comfortable. The espresso coffee machines were an added bonus for me. And the "included" breakfast was delicious and plentiful!
Very small item - I kept getting lost walking back towards reception. Path was well signposted to get to your cabin...route back wasn't so clear.

Fantastic location in the national park with easy access to beaches and walks. Food was good on the whole. Enjoyed the wine tasting with canapés. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. Cabin comfortable and spacious.
The main public areas of the Lodge are in dire need of a refresh. The carpet in particular looks worn and dirty. This lets down the spectacular outlook. The cabin, although comfortable, is a bit dated and needs to be repainted inside. Furniture coverings looked worn and discoloured. For a premium destination, these areas need to be addressed.

We had dinner at both the bistro and the restaurant. Our meals were fantastic on both nights - but I would probably rate the dinner at the bistro better than the restaurant. Breakfast was lovely and had everything you would want. On the second morning they had run out of granola at 8:45 and I had to ask for the natural yoghurt to be replenished. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
On check-in we weren't given the wifi password and had to go back to ask for one. Also, the explanation of the national park pass was a bit confusing. We ended up going to the Information Centre down the road to buy the pass.

From our fun, welcoming check-in at reception to every staff member we had the pleasure to engage with ,were exceptional young people. Our villa unit was amazing, very clean, well appointed, and had a great view. The mini bar food and drink was the best I've been offered. We were fortunate enough to be able to attend the Springvale winery dinner. Leigh and Kirsty ( sorry if i have that wrong) were exceptional hosts on behalf of The Lodge( that word exceptional again). We ate breakfast and an evening meal in The Richardson Bistro. Lovely food and staff each time very friendly, engaging and professional. Even the lovely young lady who refilled our minibar was fun and polite, too . Nothing was ever a problem for any of the staff we encountered. Yes, The Lodge is an amazing place to stay. The magnificent scenery , great areas to sit and have a coffee or drinks. Lovely food. But what makes it even more special are ALL the staff
