Lovely motel with a lot of character - much better than any other accommodation in the same price range that I've stayed at. Good-sized room with a very comfortable bed and all the basic amenities one might need. As I had to do some work during my stay, I really appreciated the private and quiet deck with table and chairs and plants growing all around (and the good wifi). Very friendly and attentive owners. Great location - cafes and shops in walking distance and the sights of the Great Ocean Road just a short drive away. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Upon arrival the location was clean and well kept. The room itself was larger than I expected, very clean and had a King size bed (bonus!!). The bathroom had a bathtub/shower as well which was a nice touch! My Wife and I also loved the walk out balcony, but also the privacy the palm trees and garden provided in between the balcony and the road. Since it was our Honeymoon, one of the Owners Sue, also brought my Wife a bouquet of flowers all the way from the city of Melbourne... which exceeded mine and her expectation and was so generous. Overall, our experience at Portside was GREAT, 10/10 would recommend and stay here again should we ever find ourselves back in AUS!

Des was super kind and friendly and went out of his way to accommodate my daughter and myself during our stay. The bed was comfy, with all the amenities we needed during our stay. Des pointed out the amazing coffee machine located in reception, which was lovely to have in the morning. The location of this motel was perfect to all surrounding areas of the Great Ocean Road Scenic Drive. I would definitely recommend anybody wanting to stay here in Port Campbell

Our very spacious room was absolutely beautiful and equipped with everything you may wish to have. The bed was really comfortable and all care products of a high quality. You could get good fresh coffee from a coffee machine in the reception area whenever you wanted. The owner were very helpful and friendly. In addition, the accommodation is in a very convenient location (not only in the village but also directly on the Great Ocean Road and close to the London Bridge, The Twelve Apostles and many more).

Sue was soooo friendly and helpful. I was too dumb to know I should bring my own toothpaste and toothbrush, it was late in the town to shop, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to brush my teeth on my first day in Australia, but Sue just provided her own new toothbrush and toothpaste and told me local customs. Thank you Sue!

We received a very friendly greeting from the host. Whilst the hotel is older, it was well presented with lots of 'little' touches that made it feel homely and comfortable - even a nightlight in the bathroom. There was an abundance of seating including a lovely little outdoor seating area. It was well located for our travels. It was clean and tidy.

The directions in booking.com took us to the nearby cemetery, so not a good start, but we got there.

The manager went above and beyond to give us some pointers about what to do. Couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly (his cat was also very cute!). The room was fantastic - bright, spacious and comfortable with plenty of facilities including a fridge. There were even some mini chocolate eggs for us when we checked in, which was a nice touch. The bed was also huge! We were running a bit late in the morning and checked out about 15 minutes later than we should have done, but they didn’t seem to mind. Would definitely stay there again - lovely place.

Honestly, I’m struggling to think of a single bad thing to say about this place. It was fantastic. The only very minor comment I could perhaps make is regarding the pillows which I found a bit hard and flat, but I am incredibly picky with pillows, so I would take that with a pinch of salt!

We were greeted with the most warm reception from Des. Stepping into our room we were pleasantly surprised, the room was lovely and large, all beautifully clean with a table and chairs plus reclining chairs, a sliding door to an outside balcony with table and chairs as well.!! The bathroom had a shower curtain which was refreshing as there was no mouldy silicon you inevitably find elsewhere The shower was lovely and hot with plenty of water…being conscious of conserving water. Des was very helpful when we had a slight hiccup with the TV, nothing was a problem The pictures on the website are true to what you will get when you stay.

The friendly owners live on site and are happy to give you recommendations in and around town. They also provide a solid cup of coffee before you set off on your morning exploration. The rooms were large, nicely decorated and very clean. Everything you need to get a restful nights sleep before continuing alone the Great Ocean Road. We were thoroughly impressed with our stay and highly recommend for those seeking accommodation in Port Campbell.

Close walking distance to town. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and the local pub. Sue was very lovely, easy check in, rooms were clean, inviting, bed was super big and comfy, lovely linens. The room spray, body wash smelt amazing!! They also had a coffee machine at reception with amazing takeaway coffee. This place would be lovely to stay in in summer, with the outdoor seating area…..
