Beautiful old house with modern comforts. Excellent breakfast and enjoyed relaxing in the drawing room in the evening.

Cobden a little quieter than we had anticipated, but good access to the Great Ocean Road and surrounding towns with excellent food options and other attractions.

The attention to detail in the restoration of this property and bedrooms quality of finishes - whilst not forgetting about the main thing guests look for - modern comfort - made this a superb place to stay. We loved the drawing room space, outdoor verandahs, lovely garden. The owners are welcoming and made us feel instantly at home. Breakfast was fabulous, cooked options as well as continental, very high quality, served on a quality dinner service and crystal glassware. It is a very classy place to stay and we will be back! Cobden is a smallish fairly unassuming town in Country Vic, but it really is well worth staying here, at Heytesbury House and using the place as a base to explore the local area if you're either doing parts of the great Ocean Road or the volcanic hills and plains. The town also has a great family pub serving traditional hearty meals.

The attention to detail was amazing. Top quality bed and bedding. Loved the large bath tub. A top quality breakfast. The extra touch of bonus packages was wonderful. Lovely gardens and very peaceful surroundings.

The only small issue was having to go down stairs to fill the kettle.

This place was the favourite part of my trip, it holds such beauty and luxury. The comfort and practicality of all features was fantastic. Can not fault it, clean, comfortable, homely and the staff are just wonderful.

Very nice house, with a lovely garden and pretty rooms. Very kind owners, everything was explained well and they were available for requests at any time.

A lovely, peaceful location; beautiful heritage accommodation with thoughtful additions such as candles and gas flame fireplace in the sitting room. Breakfasts every morning were superb with lots of choice. Hosts are friendly, warm and welcoming.

The house is beatiful. Hosts are nice as well. Would recommend this place as a stop on the Great Ocean Road drive.

A bit on the pricey side in my opinion.

Fabulous breakfasts - an extra highlight - especially the unique 'breakfast trifle'! Delicious eggs, good coffee. The whole ambience was lovely, calm, peaceful, relaxed and comfortable, from a bygone age! It was a good place for us to break our trip between Melbourne and Warnambool, and we especially enjoyed the Timboon and surrounds food trail on the return. Very nice meal at Sully's, a fair walk but a short drive away at the Golf Club.

I would have liked an extra cup of coffee at breakfast, and it would be great to have somewhere convenient to plug the car in to charge overnight. They were going to arrange this but I thought I could manage without as I didn't want to cause inconvenience, but it is always worth taking the opportunity with an EV! Cobden itself seems very small and quiet - many empty and closed shops - rather sad, and limited restaurants etc.
