We stayed in Suite 2. It was comfortable and clean and we loved the styling and furnishings and the attention to detail that Karen and John have put into the property restoration and expansion. They are also great hosts, we were warmly welcomed and Karen showed us to our suite and gave a quick run down of inclusions, wifi code etc and asked our breakfast preferences for the next morning. The breakfast offering was generous with lots of options available for all tastes. There was another group staying in Suite 1. Both suites have separate entrances and dining spaces and we didn't run into the other group at all during our stay. Karen and John genuinely care about their guests comfort and experience and ensure everything is in top order. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to come back and experience Suite 1.

Karen greeted us at the door so warmly and made us feel right at home. She showed us everything we needed and she has a lovely manner. The villa was beautiful and character filled. Shower was great and bed was comfy. Sitting on the deep verandah looking at the day waking and listening to the magpies cawdle in the morning was a beautiful start to the day. I felt like a McLeod's daughter! Breakfast was just delicious and Karen achieved the right balance of attentiveness and privacy for this BnB. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Butterfly Farm for one night and were very impressed with the authentic and historical atmosphere of this accommodation. It truly felt like stepping into the home of a landlord from 100 years ago, but with the added conveniences of hot water and electricity. The wooden house, furnished with antique furniture, was set in a peaceful countryside environment, making it a charming and unique experience. The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed a restful night's sleep, followed by a good English breakfast. The hostess was exceptional and made us feel very welcome.

Everything you can think of was perfect. Great communication with the kindhearted hosts. Beautifully refurbished building. Spacious rooms. Electric blanket to beat the cooler nights. An incredibly tasty breakfast. No spiders seen. Selection of teas in the room. A lovely big bathtub. Honestly, this is such a great place to stay and felt so much warmer than a hotel or even an Airbnb. Don’t hesitate to book. Thank you Karen for your hospitality.
Impossible to think of anything, truly.

If you like the charm of yesteryear, then you'll love Butterfly Farm. A beautifully restored Homestead, with a kitchen extension that blends the old with a more modern touch. There are a choice of 2 living spaces within the homestead. The well maintained expansive gardens and numerous potted flowering plants compliment the aspect of the home. John and Karen were very sociable and their hospitality was exceptional. Karen's cooked breakfast was superb.

The Butterfly House was central to everything that we wanted to explore, the owners greeted us when we arrived and showed us the facilities. In the morning, Karen gave us a map of a gourmet trail as well as a local map which had tourist attractions on it and recommended some of those to us.
Nothing, the hosts were so friendly and congratulated us on our wedding anniversary, which was the reason for our trip. The hosts even put on the heater and electric blanket for us so that our room and bed were warm.

The room was very classy and complete. Can't ask for more. It was superb. The hosts were very friendly and chatty. Breakfast was awesome. They made us feel very comfy and welcomed. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back for more.
Just a suggestion, a pair of sandler for use in the room by the guests will be perfect.

Karen and John are super hosts! They give us a warm welcome and also introduced local attractions in the nearby town to us. They have a beautiful garden and we spotted wild koalas on the trees in their garden during our stay. The breakfast was super also!

Nirranda Butterfly Farm is a fabulous bed and breakfast and a wonderful place to stay while exploring the Great Ocean Road. John and Karen are warm and caring hosts, and will help you make the best use of your time while in the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable too. There’s lots of space. And it’s very quiet and peaceful. We’d like to visit again.
