Location to 12 apostles was excellent, 5mins by car. The view from our cottage was breath taking and at night we were right under the milkyway. We went in July - off season so we were all on our own and plenty of running space for our dog. Super quiet and friendly staff (Eric) who was really helpful with a smile. Cutest white dog (Healer- very friendly) was there to greet us at check in. It has all the essentials (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, towels, iron and hair dryer and 2 sets of kitchen items, cook top, small gas BBQ plate, kettle, toaster) and bed was clean and comfortable. They provided heater so the entire place was so warm and cosy while freezing outside.

I would not say what I don’t like it at all because we enjoy our stay very much but If I have to mention anything for improvement, a little bit more TLC (airvent probably need cleaning), it would be good ideal to replace that carpet with floorboard for hygiene purpose if possible, designated fire pits for bungalows(Eric help us out to arrange one and plenty of chopped firewood to grab on the property), dog poos on the grass probably need clean up every now and then but they were minors to us and it didn’t bother us.

For those who really want the experience of a countryside retreat, this motel provides an excellent environment which is secluded yet still highly accessible. For your groceries and meals, it's just a 15 min leisure drive to Port Campbell. Eric, the motel manager provides exceptional service literally right up to your doorstep, and is very friendly and hospitable, making my stay so memorable. I can say that my experience is not based on one or two night stay but six nights so it represents an extended stay review. WIFI connection affords pretty fast speed performance so I can stay connected with social media.

Nothing much, except that the cabin I stay in is a little small but it got all the basics that I needed so no big deal as part of the bigger experience.

Location was amazing and close to 12 Apostles making it easy to beat the crowds early in the morning! It was also very quiet and peaceful. The fridge was a great size with lots of room for drinks and food.

The bungalow is quite small. No room for a sofa or anything. Luckily we had our own comfortable camp chairs to sit on to watch TV. The BBQ was dirty and the curtains don’t block out the sunlight. The shower pressure didn’t work but thankfully it was fixed when we asked. One of the hot plates in the kitchen didn’t work. Overall for the price, it could be updated a bit. Also note that it is a dirt road to access the property.

The motel is conveniently situated just 2 kilometers from the famous 12 Apostles, nestled in a picturesque countryside setting. During our stay, we were delighted by the abundant wildlife, including Kookaburras, Grey Jumpers, and Gang-Gang Cockatoos. The property features a large, friendly white dog and a small herd of alpacas. Owned by a Chinese family, the accommodation is immaculately maintained. The hospitable property owner personally checked on us and recommended nearby locations for enjoying stunning sunsets and observing kangaroos. On our way back to Port Campbell, located 10 kilometers from the property, we were fortunate enough to encounter a family of kangaroos. Port Campbell offers essential amenities such as food, groceries, and a gas station. they also helped us to prepare vegetable fried rice for afternoon lunch.

I had just finished hiking the 'GOW' from Aire River to the Twelve Apostles (over four days) so having somewhere to stay close by where I could have a shower, change to clean clothes and have a good night's sleep before travelling home the next day was terrific.

I had brought my own dinner with me (dehydrated, instant) and breakfast as well as not many places have vegan options. A dinner menu was available but it didn't have anything vegan so it's good I was prepared :-) The terrific thing was that there was cutlery, plates, dishes, etc., set up in the room. Very good!

Welcoming committee: Hela (wolf looking white dog) welcomed us warmly and we played catch a couple of times. Cleaning and presentation: Excellent. Bedding: we were there in winter so appreciated the double quilts and electric blankets. Location: ultra close to 12 Apostles helicopters and the actual 12 Apostles. Towels: lovely and soft. Ambience: A nice rustic feel. Views: Lovely garden/forest feel.

Bathroom: Exhaust fan could use a good clean. TV: Didn’t work on our second night. Eric (Manager) tried multiple ways to get this going and even swapped the tv over from another room, but he couldn’t get it working. We were offered another room, but didn’t want to move everything so declined. Wardrobe: The hanging shelf in the wardrobe was so high that we had to stand on a chair to reach it to hang coats etc. Kitchenette: There was no chopping board or knife (just wanted to cut up some fruit), no cooktop, no kitchen sink (washed up in a bowl), couldn’t dry dishes as there was no tea towel.

Hotel Review: The cabins are a bit dated and could use some updates, but the beds are comfortable for a good night’s rest. The location is perfect—very close to the 12 Apostles, making it a convenient choice for travelers especially with young kids. What truly makes this place special is the warm and accommodating staff. Eric was incredibly helpful during our stay. We got caught in heavy rain and couldn’t make it to Port Campbell, so we asked if he could help cook rice for us for a small fee. He gladly assisted, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The property itself feels remote, like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but that’s part of its charm. Some cabins offer a lovely view of the surrounding farmland, with alpacas grazing nearby, and you can enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets. They also have a friendly dog that roams around and loves to play fetch—a delightful addition to the experience. If you’re after a peaceful, rustic retreat with great service and beautiful scenery, this is a great option.

We stayed in one of the older cabins, which felt quite outdated compared to the newer ones that seemed to offer better views. Additionally, the rough road leading to the motel was a bit challenging to navigate, especially in bad weather.

A real Boho retreat. Don't be put on the back foot by the initial impression from the road. Really convenient for the 12 Apostles. We had not eaten before arrival. The manager rustled up a home cooked meal plus a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for us. He took us to see the Koalas in the garden which was so unexpected but lovely. Good value. Quiet and very clean. Lamas and dogs are cute as.

Sadly due to power company starting work on the overhead lines, the power was off at 9am. Manager let us know the night before so we could arrange our activities the following morning. This was no fault of the accommodation.

This place is a little gem, a mere 3.5 km up in the hills from the Twelve Apostles lookout. We stayed here in the middle of winter. It is secluded, but not far to drive to the nearest town for supplies. The rooms are nice and have all the usual mod cons, like a fridge, microwave and oven. Dinner is available on request. The heating was excellent, and the beds were super comfortable. There's nothing better than getting up early in the morning to walk to the Twelve Apostles at sunrise.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom pet friendly country view cottage. As we always do, walk in with no expectations and that led to being immediately impressed and delighted with what we had. The view is breathtaking, with table and chairs on the big deck area to have a coffee and listen to the birds and peaceful noise. Acres of lawn for dog to run around in peace, whilst also sometimes being greeted and visited by the owners dog, absolutely beautiful and so friendly. Inside, bedrooms either end of the cottage with comfy beds and clean, well presented linen. Small heaters in each room and very toasty at night during winter! Big sofa in lounge room with smart TV, table & chairs also. Small kitchen with kettle, couple tea bags coffee sugar and milk provided which is all you can ask for really. Good shower water pressure and big enough bathroom. Really happy with this place, especially after reading some of the reviews from others but that doesn't stop us. Hence the big, lengthy honest review here to help others who in particular are considering booking the 2 bedroom pet friendly country view cottage! Definitely recommend. One last thing, check in easy and Eric the owner very welcoming and encouraging us to call him if we needed anything. Great customer service!
