Sow and piglet is a good budget friendly accommodation. It was prefect for what we needed having a private room with shared bathrooms. The owner was very kind and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. There was lots of space to relax in and additional items like books and board games. The kitchen has great facilities. Location is good also and has parking.

Our bed cover had a stain on it which was off putting. Also the space downstair to relax in was cold. The rooms were also cold but had a heater and hot water bottle so warmed up with time.

Very spacious double room, clean and modern facilities, full kitchen, perfect for a quick stopover while travelling the Great Ocean Road

Alcohol licensing is very strict - even though there's a kitchen/common area, no outside drinks can be brought in and consumed. The bar closed at 8pm so after that time there is no option to continue drinking. There is takeaway alcohol for sale but it was not clear when this could be bought versus buying drinks from the bar - we enquired when the takeaway alcohol could be purchased and were advised this could be done once the bar was closed, however when the bar was closed and we asked to purchase takeaway alcohol I was told everything was closed (even though we were told they would let us know when to buy takeaway alcohol prior to closing). A bit disappointing and inconvenient but other than that it was a great stay!

Well thought out accommodation, calm and friendly atmosphere, great kitchen, lots of room to hang out on sofas. Also lots of board games and books available to borrow. Very close to the beach, grocery store, and some cafes/restaurants and shops. The dorm room was very spacious for a hostel room and everything was clean and comfy. There were even chairs in the room, which is so helpful if you get a top bunk so have no where to sit without getting into bed, although my room only had a couple of other people in it each night anyway.

Most people I met were only staying one night, and because it’s a brewery you aren’t allowed to bring your own alcohol. Understandable, but means there less of a meeting-new-people-vibe, just to bear in mind if you’re travelling solo.

Affordable priced, good facilities

Unfriendly staff. We drove from Sydney to Port Campbell, which is over 1200kms, we reach the 9pm, and the staff did not like that, all the gates were, and reception did not answer the phone, even though they saw me outside the main entrance. One of the guest help us to get in, and then when I spoke with the staff they were very unwelcoming. She said she has email me all the details, but I did not receive any email. I checked in front of her, but there was noon. She was like - well everything is in email, you are really late. And then she continued to do that she was doing. One of the guest told us the code to gate to go in and out and we explored the facilities by ourselves.

The whole experience of our stay was exceptional. I had not used "hostel" style accomodation for many years. The facilities were exceptional and very enjoyable to use. The staff were fabulous and welcoming. The kitchen facilities were excellent and obviously a lot of thought had gone into its design. The atmosphere was great and relaxing. It was a joy to be around lovely families and groups of young people having fun and travelling. I am coming back with some friends to experience a communal holiday.

Surprisingly well presented - almost like a boutique hotel. Although the bathroom wasn’t en-suite, the shower room was easily accessible - and there was also a bank of showers along the corridor. The bar and seating area downstairs was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a working brewery and the tasting platter of beers was very good. You could make your own tea and coffee in the communal kitchen.

You were asked not to take food or drink up to the bedroom.

I was warmly welcomed and felt at home right away. The hosts are incredibly kind and wonderful– everything is done with love and attention to detail. The place was spotlessly clean and fantastic arranged. The location couldn’t be better – quiet, yet very central - and a brewery & bar inside! As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place and would love to return! Thank you great Job & wonderful hosts!!!!

Lovely place to stay. Room was modern and had everything needed (wardrobe, mirror, towels etc). Particularly liked the kitchen facilities, probably the best kitchen we’ve had in a stay in our 2 years travelling! Lots of pans, plates, cutlery etc, everything very clean and tidy. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the toilets & sinks are in two separate rooms. Found it unusual to go to the toilet then walk down the corridor to another room to wash hands, but maybe not a big issue for others.

A cute dog is lying in the hotel lobby

I didn’t like that the hotel room, costing one and a half hundred dollars per night, didn’t have a toilet, shower, microwave, kettle, chair, and other amenities that are available for less money in a neighboring hotel, for example. Next time, I will be more careful when reading the descriptions of the hotel room I’m booking. I probably won’t be able to come back to this hotel again.

The location is in the center of Porr Campbell. The staff, the lady, was lovely. The room has big window which is good with comfortable bed. Shouldn't miss to try their craft beer! The shower has a dry area and provides shampoo, conditioner and sope, good brad and good quality

They has no personal light for each bed and the pillow is too flat. The bath room, toilet and washing basin are all separated. After using toilet had to go to another room to wash the hands but overall are ok, every rooms are clean and not crowded.
