The ambience of this property is fabulous. 2nd time staying and will definately be back again. The staff were so helpful. Firstly the receptionist helping me extend my stay effortlessly. Then to Trudi and Tracy who made my transition from one unit to another happen with absolute ease. They went out of their way to accommodate me in a way more than ever dreamt of. Thank ladies. You truly are the faces of a beautiful stay.

A sneaky little bird popping in. Must remember to keep the door closed. However the receptionist came in and sorted it like a pro (as i sooked in the corner 😀)

The Mill is a great place to stay. thoughtfully decorated with modern furnishings. Very clean and the food for breakfast was a lovely surprise. Bathrooms were also great with an ensuite on the top floor.

The only comment is that we had the 3-bedroom, and the spiral staircase to the top bedroom is very narrow and long. I suggest it is made clearer that this is a difficult staircase to navigate. I kept forgetting things that were on the ground floor where the kitchen/living area is and had to traipse up and down 2 flights of stairs pretty regularly.

The accommodation was really comfortable, and the surrounding grounds, such as the fernery, were really pleasant to sit by and listen to the waterfall. I always appreciate accommodation that includes a large fridge. The location is handy to everything in the main street.

Signage on our room was adequate, but a few other couples were having trouble finding their room. There was an outdoor area that we initially utilised to enjoy a glass of wine, however we then found out that it was meant to be a private area for attached unit, oops.

W arrived at Ower's Mill House (one of the houses at Camperdown Mill) and it was lovely but unfortunately it had a spiral staircase to the second and third floor, where the bathrooms are. My 85 yo mother could not walk up and down those stairs. We rang Narelle and she very kindly swapped us to another house where the bedrooms and bathrooms were all on one level. It was only a couple of minutes away and it was a wonderful place to stay. We would book again at Barkly Lodge. Thanks to Narelle for solving our dilemma.

Spiral staircase - not for the elderly.

Clean, central location, very comfortable and appealing interior. Easy check in and out, quiet, electric blanket on a comfortable bed. Plenty of information and history of the town in the room information folder. Breakfast goodies

Narrow stairs to access the room, shower over spa, bathroom very open to the rest of the room with no option to make it private to fully enjoy the spa. Parking can be tight within the complex.

What about interesting accommodation. We loved the architecture of this property, a marvel. The facilities were great and we were comfortable and 'at home' in those gorgeous place. We arrived late and had excellent communication in how to access our accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised at the breakfast provisions provided, an added bonus.

The stairs were barrow, but that isn't an issue for everyone.

These aren't motel rooms, they are suites complete with 2TVs, Spa, Full kitchen with dishwasher a table with 4 chairs and a fridge wit 500mm milk, water and orange juice cereal packets etc, Laundry with washer and drier, 2 comfy recliner chaiirs. All suites are different with different themes so book a different one each visit.

I've stayed here whenever i'm in the area, it is the best value in Camperdown easily,

The Mill was a complete surprise with character and individuality of this old mill restored. Breakfast was supplied that we were not expecting. We had a very comfortable, quiet and enjoyable stay - easily walking into the town.

A toilet downstairs and a carpet by the bed - but minor really!

It was so historic, I loved the stories around the original owners and use of the building. It was like stepping back in time. I would have loved a deck of cards and instructions for the TV! Not a big issue though..there were all the essentials for a short stay and plenty to see and do, especially the gorgeous Botanic Gardens.

The beds were firm and probably good for my back but could have been a little more comfy! Still slept well overall.

I had an amazing stay with my boyfriend at The Camperdown Mill over a birthday weekend. We were very impressed by the facilities (spa bath, cooking utensils, netflix, small breakfast items provided at no extra cost). As frequent travellers around Australia, the amenities provided exceeded other dwellings of the same price range. Absolutely felt like a luxury home away from home. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, affordable getaway close to the Great Ocean Road. This place was private, spacious and had such beautiful character !
