Excellent hot shower: no funny business with the hot and cold water. Good size dining table big enough for me to use as a desk with my laptop, paperwork, etc work spread right across it. Crisp sheets, comfy bed, some thin pillows and some lofty pillows. Weather in Albany is turning a bit cold, so asked for and got a nice, soft additional blanket. Shower cap, shampoo, conditioner and soap supplied. Best of all, the staff at front reception are SO nice, kind and very obliging. The unit was quieter than I expected given its location and that it had quite a lot of tradie type guests.

Some people would pick on a few chips here and there in the paint and furniture. BUT for the price, it was great value for money in Albany at this time.

The room matched the pictures very well, so you got what you thought you were getting. The beds were both comfortable and placed well in the room (easy to use), the room itself was spacious for the price paid and had plenty of space for luggage and working. It was equipt well with cutlery, glasses, plates, kettle, etc. and most importantly even though it is an older room it was really clean (it smelled like it had just been cleaned and was shiny) and the bathroom was immaculate (despite it being an older design), the layout was exspecially great in the bathroom as it was disability friendly.

Nothing I didn't like as such, but it would have been handy to know ahead of time that the restaurant was not operational, so therefore no room service options or anything. Not the end of the world with town only being a 15min walk away and Chicken Treat a 3 min walk. :)

Ive never had such a beautiful experience at a motel as an older person.I was treated with dignity, the receptionist was so customer orientated she is a credit to the motel..I came down with gastro and rang to book another night as I'll, the receptionist asked if she could get me lemonade, drinks or anything, I was given a discounted rate for the extra night.The rooms are really clean.Will always choose to stay there now.

There's only one concern and its petty !! The kettle doesn't fit under the tap, so you have to cup the water in..

overall the room was comfortable, and tidy. The room was serviced everyday leaving fresh towels, crockery and a carton of milk. We had a kettle, microwave, fridge, plates, bowls, mugs, wine and water glasses, washing up liquid and sponge. bathroom had small toiletries. parking in front of the room. Shower was hot and beds comfortable. Hotel was in walking distance of shops and restaurants

The fixtures and fitting need to be updated. The carpet was worn in places and the curtains did have some mould on the lining.

Easy access to the hotel and closer to the city centre. Lot of parking spaces, we were anti park our car just in front of the room. Bed was comfortable and shower room water pressure was really good. Had everything we needed in the room ( microwave, fridge, cutlery’s, hair dryer, electric kettle…..) Receptionist is nice and friendly. We had one of the best rooms with great mountain view.

Nothing much really, only air conditioner is old and bit noisy we just switched it off as it wasn’t warm at night.

We loved our stay the the SureStay Hotel by Best Western The Clarence on Melville. The check in lady was so nice, happy, energetic and helpful. The room was big and very clean. The bed was comfy and the shower was nice and hot with good pressure. Very close to town, if not in town centre itself. Easy access and a great base to go exploring. Great value for money here. We look forward to returning.

I honestly couldn't fault anything.

Good location, comfortable beds and pillows, the tv and aircon worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful and doing their best.

The shower head kept dropping and was pouring rather than spraying water. Also, the window would not stay open and could only be opened a short way. We had to prop it open with the plastic welcome thingy. I did advise reception, and they said they’d get someone to look at these things next day, but they were not fixed during our stay. Sometimes nothing beats fresh air not even aircon (which we didn’t need to use at the time, and aircon without a slightly open window at night is stuffy and uncomfortable).

The rooms were large and spacious. The housekeeping team are great. Despite rooms looking dated, it smelt nice and fresh when we entered. The toilet was very clean as well.

It would be nice if the lights could be white as the dark colours in the furniture made the room feel gloomy. It was especially so when we couldn't open the curtains due to privacy. It would be nice if they can have an extra semi translucent curtain.

room and bed was clean, comfortable and provisions provided for coffee and tea were in the fridge.

Late arrival meant you had to use an intercom system to access the code to the safe to retrieve the keys and find out which room one had been given. It took 6 attempts and up to 25 -35 minutes for the intercom system to be answered as they deal with a range of places and were not on site. Late at night alone it was not an ideal situation.

Beds were comfy and clean. Bathroom was the typical motel style but was clean and functional. Good range of plates and cutlery available as well as a bar fridge, toaster and kettle with a small milk provided each day.

Being an old establishment the carpets were pretty old and stained, but I wouldn't say they were necessarily dirty.
