Great rather new hotel - beautiful location at the lake, stunning architecture and design - if you like it, wonderfully spacious spa area, breakfast very good as well, things and appliances at the hotel just work, train station to get into Kitzbühel is super handy etc. Wonderful hotel as such, however - see below...

Bar personnel really not friendly, restaurant and in room dining closes at 9:30pm so after that time you really get nothing to eat anymore... this is not funny! And it's not the most centrally located hotel in Kitzbühel; quality of "software" (i.e., bathrobes, and bed sheets/bedding) is quite terrible as it's probably artificial garments or the like; spa closes at 7pm in the evening, and only opens again at 1pm - why?!?!

Truly exceptional staff , so friendly and attentive. Beautiful property and accommodation very comfortable and well situated. We had a car which though not essential was a great help and parking undercover convenient and easy Food very generous and variable , we used the gym too which was excellent

We thought staying in the Steghaus meant we would eat there . It wasn’t a problem but we soon discovered half board meant we would eat in the main hotel . Wine list was comprehensive but we were suprised there was no desert wine offer

The hotel is situated in beautiful nature surrounded by mountains, forests, meadows and a lake. Everything fits into a wonderful concept and is in complete harmony with nature. The hotel was modernized in 2021, has incredibly beautiful and comfortable rooms and offers endless possibilities for social and sports activities, primarily water sports, skiing and mountain biking. The area around the hotel primarily encourages these activities, it is simply amazing. Amazing 6-course gastronomy and pleasant staff perfectly create pleasant well-being, relaxation and wonderful moments of rest. I highly recommend it to everyone. ZS

The property is newly renovated and fairly modern, the staff was friendly and well-trained.

The spa area and the entire room climate was way too cold. It was impossible to relax without 2 blankets. Further than that, the pool cannot be reached from the spa area but you needed to go through the rain and cold to get into the water. The dinner (Wiener Schnitzel) was only average.

Large, tastefully-decorated rooms. (I had what they call a Penthouse, which has two floors and easily sleeps 4.) Overall very impressive public areas. Extensive spa. As far as room and physical facilities are concerned, Alpenhotel far exceeds most 5-star resorts I've recently stayed in. Staff are bright and efficient.

Poor meal options. Only one restaurant, with three choices for main course at lunch or dinner. The management may have made a business decision not to describe itself as 5-Star, so that it need not offer much in the way of dining options. It also has no laundry service, which is truly surprising. Room should have an easy chair for extended reading or relaxing.

Great hotel with a great location and a delightful half board offer. We enjoyed everything. The direct access to the lake is stunning. Beds are very comfortable and the spa center is such a relaxing area, with a great sauna. The pool with lakeview is also incredible. We warmly recommend this recently modernized hotel.

Everything was perfect ! One comment though for other travellers : we stayed in the hotel and this was one of our best hotel experience ever. However in summertime I would probably avoid to book a room in the attached building called Steghaus : the room's windows with lakeview open above a certainly very good but overbooked restaurant and a crowded public beach. Another comment is that the terrace of the hotel is separated from the lake by an asphalt dead end road on which there are also a few parking slots : this curious site layout removes part of the natural charm to this unique environment and place.

We could not imagine a better place to celebrate our honeymoon. The hotel exceeded expectation. It was even more luxurious, well organized then it looks on the photos. All services provided were very high quality. The staff were great, polite and really helpful. Food was delicious and fresh and it is worth it to book half board with dinner. We have spend there a week and everything was great. Thank you for the great experience!

There was only one problem with my gluten and lacto intolerance husband. The waiter assured us that the plate is gluten and lacto free. We have insisted to double check with the chef, it turned out that one of the components is with gluten. This could have ruined our vacation,because the intolerance is severe, and we have informed the hotel in advance.

Hotel was top, nothing to add or to remove, If Sauna and Pool can work longer as 19:00 it is benefit as current working time is limiting us, as we ski until 18:00 and then arrive in hotel we need to run for dinner ( until 20;00 ) and we cant use any facility in hotel as Pool and sauna is already closed.
