We stayed two nights in Kitzbühel, which in our opinion is quite an expensive village. Compared to the rest of the town, however, this hotel was very reasonably priced, and the value for money was excellent. For just €10 per day you can park your car right next to the hotel, which is a big advantage. From the hotel, it’s less than a 10-minute walk to a cable car that takes you up the mountain, and within 5 minutes you’re right in the town center. Breakfast was included and we really enjoyed it – a delicious way to start the day. The staff were also very friendly. In the evening, you could have a beer and play games in the bar/café, which was a nice touch. Since we were traveling through for several hikes, the comfortable beds were a huge plus: thick mattresses that gave us a great night’s sleep. We would definitely recommend Hotel Gamshof, especially for its excellent value for money compared to the rest of Kitzbühel.

I only stayed for one night, was there for work - and my room was perfect for that. Small and cosy, with a lovely balcony, and in the morning a good breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

There isn’t enough room to write everything that was great about this property, but it comes down to Johannes, and as far as providing a welcoming atmosphere—he knocks it out of the park. Great location, clean, on site bar, the deck outside our room was incredible. You can see the skiers on the slopes. An incredible family run hotel that I will be staying at again

The hotel and staff were just amazing. Everything we needed was catered for. The room was spacious with amazing views and a balcony looking at the mountains. The location was perfect for taking in the sights and the ski hills. Honestly, the staff were just brilliant. Assisted in anything we needed from help and directions, transport queries to places to eat. They even made reservations for us. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely be back.

Hotel Gamshof was absolutely fantastic. The location is ideal, near to the lifts and the main town. The breakfast was always tasty. There is a very cosy bar and lounge area where you can drink, eat or just chat until 10.30. The staff were so helpful, they provided advice about slopes, hiking, restaurants and even gave us tips on where to get discounted ski gear. The rooms were spacious with lovely views. The hotel is clearly well-known in the town as everyone seemed to know it and speak highly of it. We wanted to book for 2025, but the week we are going is fully booked :( so we have had to book nearby. I'd advise booking Gamshof now to avoid disappointment!

As to expect from a wooden house not the best sound isolation, but not a deal braker.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place has homely and cozy vibes and the people were extremely kind and helpful. We felt right at home and will highly recommend this place. Everything is walking distance from the hotel and very easily accessible. The breakfast spread was good and so fresh ! We wish we could have stayed longer, definitely coming back ! :)

Good location not too far from train station or Hahnenkammbahn, comfortable beds, solid breakfast, helpful staff, adequate WIFI. Rooms a bit small but serviceable, nice to have a sauna to use. Cozy lounge to hang out mornings and evenings.

Would like to have had access to sauna past 8 PM, would like to have had access to lounge downstairs past 10 PM, otherwise happy with the hotel.

Everything and everyone was great. I really enjoyed the breakfast selection and set up with crispy bacon. The decor was perfect. The sauna was small but awesome. I learned that this hotel was the first in town to have a built in Sauna.

Oh, maybe just the odd step close to my bedroom door, but it was well marked with high visibility tape. That's all I can think off. Location was tremendous. Vibe was so cool and chill. Very nice people.

Hotel Gamshof offers breakfast and a sauna The head receptionist is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about Kitzbühel and what goes on in and around the town. I especially enjoyed his impassioned talk about the famed Hahnenkamm race. Record speed 153 km/h 😱😱😱 He even gave me a 40€ refund for bumping my room down from a double to a single with a balcony. Loved the view from the balcony Location is within walking distance from the ski lifts and even closer to a ski bus stop. Everywhere else one needs to get to is close as well.

Shower glass made moving within the bathroom confined and difficult to navigate. May I suggest moving the glass closer to the toilet so that occupants can move around the sink without obstruction. Pillows were not supportive. I stacked two and it was fine.
