Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful on reception and at breakfast. There was a trendy bar/restaurant connected to the hotel where they gave us a complimentary Aperol Spritz. Items on their menu were a little overpriced, though. The sauna was clean and had showering facilities with towels provided. The room itself was beautifully characteristic and traditionally Austrian, with wooden beams and art on the wall. The bathroom was clean, spacious and had the best smelling soap in the shower. Bed was comfy. Balcony had a decent view of the Hahenkamm. I'd highly recommend staying in the Goldener Greif because it's location is central to everything in town, and it's only a four minute walk to the main ski lift. There's plenty of restaurants to choose from, it's across from the Londoner (if the night life is your thing), and there's lots of shops and other amenities nearby. I would definitely stay here again.
There's only one gripe we had with the hotel, which was that the pillows were too squidgy and didn't prop your head up very well. I'm sure if you asked for another, the friendly staff would have got you as many as you needed. Also, book early! Prices go up quickly, and availability is limited. If you can lock a room in at a reasonable price, with free cancellation in case you don't need it, don't hesitate to book. It can become expensive.

Elena and her front of house team (Ebba, Emma, Maria & Tim) really made my first experience of the Goldener Greif a very memorable one. Their pleasant dispositions, friendliness and thorough attentiveness really added to the experience. I heartily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 'boutique' accommodation style. Breakfast was also superb, as well as the classic buffet fayre of fresh fruit, cereals, cold meats, croissants etc., eggs/omelettes with or without bacon/ham were available, on request, cooked to both order and preference. I also really appreciated the 'sit where you would like' and roaring log fire ambience.
Having travelled by car I was ever so slightly disgruntled to discover that the few hotel parking spaces were not really fit to accommodate my relatively long estate car; meaning I had to park in a public car park 15 minutes walk from the hotel. However, whilst this was a little unfortunate, it most certainly didn't spoil my experience of the Goldener Greif.

I don’t write reviews very often but here I felt obligated to do so. I have to say both, receptionist and the back office staff were so friendly. They were smiley all the time I felt so welcomed. I have to say it was one of the best hotel experiences in recent years, I do travel quite a bit. Sadly I stayed only one night but next time I’m sure it will be for longer.
Very close to the main square. Well maintained and nicely decorated This time I was on my own stayed in the room 109. Very good size for a single occupant. It would be lovely to add a small refrigerator. When it gets hot would be great to have a cold drink.

The most charming hotel in the heart of Kitzbühel. The staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly, the room maybe not the biggest but beautifully decorated with plenty of traditional wood work and a great view from the balcony. As I was travelling by bike, they let me park my 'bike' in the lounge, where it was safe and dry. The location right in the heart of Kitzbühel was super practical for an exploratory stroll through the small town with all sorts of restaurants, bars and stores right at my doorstep. A great stay at a wonderful place.

Central location with access off the main street. Excellent views of the Hahnenkamm mountain and piste from our room and the breakfast room and the hotel is only a short walk to the lift station. Breakfast is excellent and served in a lovely traditional room which is immaculate. The Hotel bar and restaurant is adjoined by a door operated by your room key, it is more modern, lively and a very enjoyable space to eat and drink until late. The Hotel and bar staff are excellent.
Nothing.

So much to like. I love how it's been a family run business for 100 years. How Christian was there to greet us and helped with our bags. How the decor was so "unique", the awesome breakfast, how the location was perfect, and how we got a little gift when we left. So far it's been the highlight of our trip.
Nothing to complain about at all. I have read the reviews combining about noise from the attached casino and for one night we could hear this faint thumping in the background. Had I not read the reviews I would have had no idea. It certainly did not keep us awake.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. Very friendly welcome, clean and pleasant hotel, big warm rooms and a fresh appetising breakfast. The staff could not do enough for you. 2 minutes walk to a recommended ski hire outlet and a further 3 minutes to the main lift. Surrounded by great shops and lovely restaurants.
Personally, I think breakfast could have done with a toaster but that is a very minor criticism.

Went for a ski trip so I wanted something close to ski lifts and to be close to the centre. Beautiful hotel, nice and clean, staff very helpful, breakfast had a very good selection and the best was a beautiful Mountain View from the room. Definitely would come back

Perfect location with a beautiful view ! Andrea was incredible!! From the time we walked into the hotel until we left, she was genuinely the nicest person I’ve ever met. All of the staff were amazing and so accommodating! Rooms are so unique with amazing views and such a close walk to the gondolas. Loved it!
