We had exceptional customer service even before we arrived at Hotel Alexanderhof as we were offered a cold dinner as we weren't going to arrive until after the end of dinner serving. We were welcomed by Lucas who was friendly and informative. The room was comfy with amazing views, the buffet breakfast was vast and delicious. The pool, whirlpool and sunbathing lawn an added bonus. All staff were friendly. The decor felt very Austrian, which we appreciated as visitors from the UK, the whole experience was exceptional, we were sad to leave

Our spacious room had a balcony with stunning views of the lake. It had everything we needed.The hotel has a really comfy feel to it. The reception staff were just lovely & spoke English very well. Breakfast was excellent...big choice buffet. Good lounge area inside & out on the terrace to enjoy the view.

The shower cubicle was very small/compact which was surprising as the ensuite is very well appointed & the bedroom itself was huge .We found the dinner system (we booked half-board) confusing & the very kind receptionist had to help explain procedures.

Everything was blisteringly clean. The wellness area was surprisingly spacious yet barely anybody used it. The fitness room turned out to be a fully equipped gym with a view, way above expectations.

Breakfast buffet was fine with decent variety but not especially delicious. Everything is somewhat old-fashioned yet impeccably clean.

1. Great location with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains behind it, a swimming pool with a terrace, the possibility of sunbathing on the sunbeds available, sauna. 2. Plenty of parking spaces. 3. Clean everywhere. 4. Great, varied breakfast, including very good coffee. Possibility to buy very good dinners with a different menu every day. 5. Very nice staff. 6. Available information about nearby cultural and sports events as well as maps. Possibility to purchase the Carinthian Card, which offers many attractions included in the price.

A small fridge or mini bar in the room would be useful.

The hotel is further from the lake and town than we expected. In the summer heat, walking back to the hotel we felt was particularly strenuous (for us older generation!) Could the hotel offer a free mobility car service to and from the lake?

Excellent place for relax during hot summer days in mountains and close to beautiful lake. Great opportunities for bike trips (difficult or relax) or hiking.
