Well situated for exploring the Eifel Forest area, this hotel is in the small town of Schmidt. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at this family run place. Our room was spacious, clean and warm, with a small balcony and the quietness of the area made for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel has a restaurant, which is not always open to the general public, but, on those evenings, a limited menu is offered to hotel residents early in the evening, so you don't need to venture out again after a busy day if you don't want to. We enjoyed a lovely dinner here, featuring local pork and appreciated the 'welcome' label on our dining table. Some parking is available at the rear of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was good too.

Schmidt is a smallish place, so the location may not suit all travellers.

Lovely hotel, with everything of the highest quality. Lovely people, great restaurant, and really convenient for walking in the Eifel national park, we went on a two hour country walk directly from the hotel. Our room was a very good size, very comfortable and, like the rest of the hotel, spotlessly clean. The hotel is also easy to get to, being convenient to the motorway system. Can't recommend the Hotel Roeb highly enough.

We liked everything about the Hotel Roeb and would have liked to stay longer.

It’s sits in the town of Schmidt which is very pleasant and quiet. The staff were pleasant , friendly and helpful. The availability of an evening meal was a pleasant surprise and was very good. The breakfast served in the morning was also good with a great selection to choose from. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed, a small balcony and a lovely walk in shower.

Parking was a bit limited on site but there was an adjacent area with extra.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, clean rooms and nice dinner + breakfast. Bathroom seemed recently renovated, beds were great.

Honestly my only pet peeve would be the pillows; soft to the point of non-existence, though this is more of a personal preference than a real detriment. After I folded them a bit it was fine.

The hotel looked very nice. The atmosphere was very cozy. Good breakfast. And a nice lift.

There were alot of bugs especially wasps. There was no kettle.

The staff went out of their way to help especially Marina at reception who took the time to suggest nearby places to visit. The little slate name plates on my restaurant table and welcome messages (plus a drink) in my room were a great touch. Furnishings were excellent and the room large and well arranged, with a balcony. Great, free parking at the back.

We had a large room, which was great. The staff is friendly, we asked for vegan and glutenfree at breakfast, which was foreseen, this was great.

We booked a king size bed, but got 2 seperate beds put together, this was a pity The food at the restaurant was a disapointment, all dishes with a lot of french fries and meat and hardly any cooked vegetables (other than some salad) But we discovered some good places to eat in neigbouring villages

Everything was outstanding from the staff , the room to the food. I have nothing negative to say about our stay
