On Saturday we were given a small and a big tower when we went to sauna and swimming pool. On Sunday we were given only one small towel for both sauna and swimming pool. When I asked why they said one was enough and refuse to give a big towel. It is customary to have a small towel for sauna and a big towel for the swimming pool. The door of the bathroom cracked a lot. The noise was so bad that woke my partner when I went to the toilet. We reported it to the reception but nothing was done. It is customary in a 5-star hotel to have handyman to do We expected a better experience.

This is obviously a very well managed hotel. Every staff member I had contact with was friendly, helpful and motivated. I would like to recognize the man that checked me in ( unfortunately I don’t have his name) he went out of his way to start my visit with everything I needed including a protected parking place for German sports car. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast varied and plentiful, the location directly on the lake peaceful.

The only negative I experienced, and I take responsibility for this, was the restaurant was fully booked when I arrived. I thought because my stay was in a Sunday in late March that I would have no trouble getting a table. However the man that checked me in recommended a restaurant 100m away and made a reservation me.

Good hotel overall. - Room was quiet and spacious, - personnel was friendly, and - licated next to the lake.

- the spa area is nice, but on one of the twi days we visited (Sunday afternoon), it was waay to busy, even if you have to reserve a slot. They can control this, it's not a relaxing experience when there are so many people. - they should add a kettle in the room, for tea. And powdered milk for the coffee. - breakfast was ok but not on par with other 5* hotels

I was called teh day before my arrival to let me know that my scheduled spa treatment needed to be rescheduled due to illness. I was not happy BUT they made an exception and had my room ready before check in time amd it was spacious and beautiful (some people had commented they looked old, not mine), so thank you Laurence for that! Lily, the beautician, was just wonderful and I ended up doing two treatments instead on one with her. The pool, jacuzzi amd sauna area was relaxing, not a lot people using them. Breakfast buffet was very generous and delicious and cocktails at the bar well made and priced. Also thank you to Talia at the front desk, her efficiency and professionalism, were on point making the start and the end of the our stay, enjoyable. A very relaxing weekend !

My family and I really enjoyed the use of the spa facilities and the breakfast bar. An amazing place to relax and enjoy the quietness. Bedrooms were super comfortable with an extra sofa bed

Had a problem with my check in as booking.com said it was a 24 hour check in so we had to wait 4 hours after a very long journey to check in. The swimming pool is small.

Location was near where needed

I got in late so kitchen was closed. They offered pre made meals from 22-24 hr which I ordered. The pasta dish was microwaved so long the top half the dish was dry and hard (inedible). If the quality was going to be so bad I would have preferred they offer nothing. I paid $29 euro and barely was able to eat half the meal.

Location location location. Perfect distance from Brussels and excellent road links to Ghent and Antwerp. Great surroundings and an easy walk to good restaurants, along with a nice lake walk. Staff were friendly and on the whole very competent. Breakfast was good.

Not easy access to the SPA, as it is part of a membership club so you need to book access. Spa is a little run down even though there is an excellent roof top terrace. Hotel itself is also a little run down, even though our room was just above OK, there were marks on the carpet, and a very poorly patched and painted over repair to the wall. Curtain issues with closing that was not rectified during our stay and a broken sink plug that was reported on day 1 of our stay and not repaired until the evening before our departure the next day. This was very very poor. I believe that the slightly poor finishing to our room was potentially due to us having our Yorkshire terrier with us? As this is probably a room they regularly give to people who travel with their dog.

The bedroom was great; we had a great view of the lake. The bed was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty; and the bar and space around it was nice to sit in and relax. The restaurant was also quite nice.

Our only real disappointment was the shower's water pressure. Very disappointing. The food at the restaurant was ok; while the food was good, it was a bit too pricey for the quality. Nevertheless, we will like to stay here again in the future.

Very nice location next to the lake. Genval city center and train station in 10 minutes walk. Very good breakfast. Facilities are good, room furniture is a bit used, not critical. Restaurant is fine, 8 of 10. Spa area is small but it was not crowded at all. Massage was perfect!
