Great conversion from a prison - love how they’ve kept the original detail. Nice spacious rooms
Better air conditioning would be good as we were really hot!

Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, great location. Has adjacent public parking for 6 EUR a day or by the hour if needed. Room was clean and spacious. Rooms enough for 2 adults and 2 children (10+) to share the sofa bed. Room had a small fridge and kettle but no coffee or tea.
The.decor and lighting in our room was very modern but very atmospheric (i.e. dark) and perhaps a little too much for a family. Room was warm, air conditioning was not adjustable but the window could be opened nice and wide so not a big problem. Would stay again, no question.

Excellent location, great breakfast and very nice staff. 10 min away from the train station and bus station, close to very good restaurants for all budgets, 5 min away from a public playground. Breakfast is the same every morning, but excellent options, hot and always refilled. The hotel itself is great, a perfect blend of the present with the past, very modern equipped but with a historical nostalgy. The staff we have interacted with have been very, very pleseant and helpfull. We visited bruxelles for 5 days (initially we only booked for 2 nights stay but we extended our stay with 2 more nights) and the staying at this hotel made our holiday a lot easier.
The only downside of all was the housekeeping, which was not at the standards of the hotel when we first arrived. But letting the reception know our concerns, things have improved significantly.

Great hotel, clean and comfortable. Nice and charming environment. I had to be at an event in ING Arena (former Palais12) which was only a 12 minutes drive from the hotel. I would stay here again.
If I had to pick one point of improvement it was that at arrival there was nobody at the reception because the lady doing the check-in was serving people at the cafe. Nevertheless, the lady was very nice and professional and apologized for the delay and I was not in a rush so it did not bother me that much.

The breakfast and staff were excellent. The location was convenient, with restaurants and nature nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
I noticed that the room I was staying in had a very strong perfume scent. I left the window open the entire afternoon and into the next morning and it was still persistent. If the scent is from an air freshener or other ambient source, please consider using a lighter fragrance in the future, as strong scents can trigger migraines for some individuals. Thank you for your understanding.

The room in the attic The wooden beams , the apparent stones and bricks Authentic building Very quiet Excellent mattress Delicious breakfast The free parking if you arrive after 19:00 on a Saturday : it is free till Monday morning
The breakfast was delicious. We felt the quality of the food. A suggestion for improvement maybe : the jam and orange juice so to put them on a par with the rest of delicious products proposed

A lot of choice for breakfast, fresh bread, croissants, pastries, cereal, egg, bacon, pancakes, it was all there. There were also juices to choose from. The room was big and had high ceilings, making it even look bigger. The bed was comfortable imo but maybe a bit hard for someone lighter. The building was magnificent and has a interesting history. The staff was very very helpful in terms of recommendations and just nice to talk to. The area surprised me. The area surrounding the hotel is very quiet and green. I also like the ASIAT park very much which was just above the city of Vilvoorde. This park is modern and is located in and around old industry buildings, making it very nice to explore. There is a nice bar in the middle of the park.
There is no restaurant in the hotel. Therefore the hotel is rated 3 stars only, because the look and feel is certainly a 4 star hotel. So we had to take dinner elsewhere.

Stylish historical building in spacious grounds with ample private parking. Very quiet, yet fairly accesible to city centre. Fantastic breakfast with first class ingredients.
An excellent sized bedroom, though despite its generous size fairly poorly equipped. Only one chair. The room was fairly cold on arrival and took a long time to warm up (excluding abundant heat in bathroom).

Room was a really good size and clean, free cold water in the fridge, Wi-Fi was also good, Large comfortable bed, Because this was originally a prison, they have kept the theme throughout, a very interesting hotel.
Because we were working in the area, we needed to be on site at 07:00 unfortunately, Breakfast is at 08:00 over the weekend, there was 1 day that our rooms were not serviced, It wasn't a problem other than not having fresh water, I returned down stairs and was supplied some, so no big issue.

The place it's really nice. Building is well maintained and staff always friendly. We arrived after 18:00 on a Saturday, so parking was free until monday morning.
We got a room in the corner, but due to the extreme heat, it was a bit hot, although the hotel provided 2 ventilators so this is not directly an issue from the hotel, but only to consider if you go there on hot days.
