The Hotel New Regina is right on the Grand Place, opposite the restored town hall, symbol of Ypres. The rooms are very modern and functional with a small desk, modern ensuite and they have AC. The lady on reception was very helpful. Breakfast started at 7AM which was very useful, there was a good selection of cooked and cold options and the breakfast area was nicely spaced out. Wifi was good although spare plug points were limited in the room but there was a kettle which was very welcome! The location was fabulous, literally walk out the hotel door on to the main square. Menin Gate was a 5 minute walk and the town was beautifully clean and safe.

The only two negatives were the fact they still use disposable containers for toiletries instead of a refillable dispenser and the towels were probably the thinnest I have ever seen. Parking was available just outside for about a Euro an hour or there were free spaces 5-10 minutes walk away.

The hotel is centrally situated in the city, right opposite the Flemish museum. Lots of restaurants around, shopping stores and easy access to everything. We were warmly welcomed, the staff were very friendly. The breakfast had sufficient choice, both warm and cold.

The passage outside the room remains dark for about 15 seconds when you leave the room. Our room was on the second floor and there was two steps just in front of the room. If you do not see the steps, you could have a serious fall and get injured. I would suggest a fluorescent light being installed. This is also the case just in front of the lift. The hotel also does not have parking. There is free parking at the nearby train station, however, about ten minutes walk.

The location was ideal. We parked our car off-site in Leopold III laan for free. It was a short walk from the hotel and led by the menin gate. Our room was comfortable and quiet with coffee and tea available for us to make. Breakfast was ok with all that was expected by us of a wide variety of meats and cheeses with hot food also available.

The room had two shower types they worked ok, but both leaked water onto the floor. The overhead rain type shower worked well, but the other one could not be placed in its holder as the holder was broken.

Everything about our stay was perfect. it was such a great location couldn't be better. The hotel was very quick to reply to our enquiry about where to park and this was reasonbly easy to find. The room had everything you could need and the bed was huge and very comfortable and we had the most fantastic view over the square but was very quiet. The breakfast was also great loads of choice, has absolutely everything you could want. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to go again.

Fabulous location opposite the Cloth Hall which houses the ‘In Flanders Field Museum’. 5 mins walk from the Menin Gate. Lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The rooms were new as were the bathrooms. Nice powerful shower. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Good sized fridge, safe, air conditioning. Lovely breakfast with good selection of both cooked and continental food. Good choice of hot drinks and delicious hot chocolate. Nice view over to the Cloth Hall if you have a front facing room. My parents had a suite (photos below) so great view and large room. Would recommend and would stay again. No lobby as such so added the view from my parents window in that photo slot.

Nothing really. We were a party of 6 so had a variety of rooms. Our room was quite small and wasn’t a budget room but it was functional and we weren’t in it much anyway. Maybe just be aware of room type you’re booking. No wardrobe just a small hanging area but again if you are passing through transiently not really a problem.

The room was directly across from the Cloth Hall so had a fabulous view. The location couldnt be better. The breakfast was fantastic with a choice of both English and Belgium. The staff seemed a bit dour at first but they actually weren't. Great shower. Kettle and English tea in the bedroom too! Shame we only had one night! Finally - twin rooms available which is ideal when it's a lad's or lasses trip.

Nothing really. The only niggle was the autoamtic light in the room hallway which could do with a switch so that it doesnt come on every time you go to the loo! Maybe it had but I didn't find it.

The hotel is well presented, nice welcome from staff, easy check in followed by an easy passage to the room on third floor vi's the lift. Inside the room was a good size tv, coffee making facilities, clean large enough en suite and very comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast next morning was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold food. The location is excellent being right on the square with all of its cafes,bars and restaurants. Also a 5 minute walk to the Menim gate is a big plus.

Not much really. Being picky, the room we had was a little small, but for us ok for one or two nights. As with most hotels in the area, parking is an issue.

The location was amazing, so close to menin gate, the flanders museum, Square and restaurants. Bed very comfortable, and bathroom nice. Air conditioning welcome . Breakfast great, lots of choices.

Unfortunately our room only had a view of an internal shaft. Which was a bit disappointing as daughter's room had amazing views of the square. Room was a little cramped, but very comfortable and quiet. It was still worth it for the location

Room was very clean and comfortable, but basic which is all i needed cos was only sleeping there as i wasnt in during the day as was out touring.

The breakfast was ok, they provided something for everyone but the english breakfast wasnt like at home in ireland, the sausages were frankfurters, the rashers were streaky and the scrambled eggs didn't look very appetising, but there was plenty of cold meat, cheese, toast, croissants etc, you wont go hungry.

Very comfortable hotel in superb central location facing onto the Grote Markt. Very good room (side of hotel so no great view but quiet) with excellent heating and tea & coffee making facilities. Very good hot and cold buffet breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. A great place to stay in a great town, close to all the key sites. Good value and highly recomended.
