We booked the luxury room, which had a spacious bathroom, including a bath. The bed was very comfortable and the room had air conditioning, which was very much welcomed as the temperature in Ypres was 30 degrees. The lovely host was very welcoming and even helped to carry our cases to the room. She recommended the best place to park our car for free, which was just a five minute walk from the B&B. Exceptional breakfast, with freshly cooked bacon and probably the best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted, meat & cheese and fruit & yoghurt, juice and tea. I'm considering going back for the Ypres Rally next year, I will definitely stay here again.

Very warm welcome by the hosts. Excellent, plentiful and delicious breakfast. Very spacious apartment with an upmarket, boutique feel. The bedroom-bathroom- living space is all open plan, with a separate dining space near the entrance. Very comfortable bed. Great location and just a short walk into centre of Ypres, very quiet and peaceful area.

The apartment was in the basement so had a limited street view, was difficult to open the window as the weight supplied couldn’t hold the window. The entrance looked onto a courtyard. It had a glass door and windows. We felt blinds were needed here, as it felt a bit exposed, especially as you had to pass by to get to the toilet. On the list of facilities for the the B&B it stated there was air conditioning but there wasn’t any and it was extremely warm, especially after a shower. The apartment had a smell of mustyness/damp about it.

We have to start where we mean to go on and that's with a good breakfast, after all it's the most important thing. Michael cooks the best scrambled eggs I've ever had then lovingly accompanies them with bacon, fresh crusty rolls, croissant, fresh orange juice and coffee, sliced cheese and meat all finished off with beautiful fresh fruit with yogurt. Absolutely gorgeous. The building and the rooms therein are lovely, spacious, bright and very clean with everything you need by way of kettle, fridge etc in ours. Michael, Lisbette and the other lovely lady who's name I am ashamed to say I can now not recall were so welcoming and genuinely warm that you feel right at home immediately. Can only thank them once again and look forward to coming back as soon as possible. John and Jack Davies

Close to town, free parking, breakfast was amazing, spacious, cool in the hot weather, fabulous shower

Noisy upstairs and smelt damp. Towels smelt musty, they were changed daily which was good but still musty. Just a flannel in downstairs loo to dry hands, thankfully again changed daily. No soap to wash hands so used small tablet on sink near shower.

The location was great, close to the Melin Gate, museum and square. The welcome from Elizabeth was delightful and as we had the motorbike with us they kindly let us park in the courtyard so secure, right outside our courtyard room. Breakfast was delicious and served in our room. We struck gold with this booking. If you are on a motorbike and would like to visit Ypres, don’t hesitate.

This was our 3rd visit to Yoake and, once again it did not disappoint. Our room was spacious and stylish, very clean and comfortable. It is situated just 5 minutes walk to the Cloth Hall square. Breakfast is quite wonderful. A lovely basket of goodies delivered to our room each morning. Bacon, scrambled egg with tomatoes and spring onions, fruit and yoghurt, cheese and salami, bread rolls and croissants, orange juice and coffee - all so delicious We travelled by car and parking is easy and free a few minutes away near the train station. Miguel and Liesbet are fantastic hosts and we shall return!

Nothing, it is pretty much perfect

We couldn't fault this accommodation at all. From the greeting on arrival to our departure, everything was great. The unit is very comfortable, clean, bright and airy, and spacious. The included breakfast was sensational! It is also very well situated for a stroll to restaurants, shopping, Menen Gate ceremony and some of the closer WW1 sites.

Nothing, it was perfect

Far exceeded our expectations. Beautifully presented with exceptional decor and fittings. Location and views were perfect and even had a lovely nighttime view of the cathedral from the bathroom. Our host, Elizabeth is such a gem who really knows the art of hospitality. Our morning breakfast was a feast of freshness and totally unexpected.

Could find one thing to pick as a fault.

It was a lovely clean and spacious place to stay, only a five minute walk into the square with bars and restaurants and a few minutes more to that Menin gate. The accommodation was clean and breakfast was brought to the room in a basket in the morning, breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful with places to eat etc.

We were welcomed by Liesbet and made to feel very welcome. The room, which was at the top of a fairly steep staircase, was lovely and worth the climb. There was even a fridge with minibar in the room as well as tea and coffee making facilities (including a Nespresso machine). Breakfast was excellent, and there was plenty of it. The hotel is well located being about 10 minutes stroll to the Grand Place where there is a choice of bars and restaurants.

You should be aware that the hotel doesn't have its own car parking, but it is possible to park on the street outside. When we stayed, this was free after 6pm and before 9am as well as being free all day Sunday. The first half hour is free (although you need to get a ticket from the machine to take advantage of this!) and you can buy a ticket after 6pm for the following morning - so to explain, I bought an hour's parking on Sunday evening for Monday morning which allowed me to stay until 10:30am. If you can't make this work for you, there is a large car park about five minutes walk away!
