Breakfast was great.

I was surprised there wasn't a "real beach" off the hotel. It was fine though. Dinner was just ok.

Victoria House is a lovely, well-maintained property with a modest number of various types of rooms spread across many lush beachfront acres, offering several sparkling pool areas, shaded beachfront respites and garden getaways to enjoy the peace and serenity. The staff was gracious and accommodating: special shout-outs to the reception team, Mitch and Suemy. We were given a wonderful room upgrade to a large suite with wonderful bedding, a spacious bath with plentiful fluffy towels, a comfortable seating area and well-equipped kitchen. The front porch provided hypnotic, glorious sunrise and moonrise views over the sea through swaying palms. The spa (pedi and massage) was very nice, clean and restful. We booked snorkeling excursions through the hotel (actually more affordable than many of the travel website offerings). Tip: book the smallest boat you can afford— Francisco was a great VH guide who navigated away from the large group tours and found a bit more privacy to check out the amazing wildlife: nurse sharks, rays, plentiful tropical fish of every color, on the backdrop of the technicolor coral reef. Victoria House is a blessedly quiet spot but you can easily rent a golf cart to run into town and be in the hubbub in minutes when you're looking for more excitement. The airport is minutes away too.

The property is just beautiful. The buildings are charming and the landscaping is lush and well kept. One of my favorite things were the hammocks. They were a great way to enjoy the peaceful tropical surroundings. Our room was gorgeous.we had a canopy bed and upon arrival there were hibiscus adorning every space. We had appetizers in the bar and breakfast and dessert on the patio. All the food was good. The pear and dulce de leche donuts were out of this world good. Finally, the staff is top notch. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and pampered. The restaurant even agreed to serve us dessert just before they were closing. I would go back to Victoria House in a second!

My partner and I had an incredible experience at Victoria House for my partners birthday. We received a room upgrade and perfect birthday room decoration on arrival. The spa is great, and we really enjoyed the excursions of the sunset cruise and the two stop snorkelling tour, which was a proper tour rather than being left alone in the water! We also had an incredible private dinner set up on the palapa over the water. The best part of our stay though, was how attentive and kind the staff are. They seemed to really care about everyone in the resort. What an amazing place.

The Continental breakfast was great. I loved that they brought it to you and you didn’t have to eat buffet style. The chef and wait staff did a great job accommodating my gluten free needs and even put a sticker on my plate indicating it was gluten free. It was also so nice to have everything organized for us. Victoria House scheduled our flights in and off the island and booked our fishing tour. The fishing tour with Roberto was incredible. My husband even got to dive for lobsters seeing that the season had just opened.

Nothing. Maybe more gluten free dessert options. 😜

I liked the privacy away from town, the cleanliness of all the facilities, the abundance of pools/chairs/hammocks throughout the grounds, the breakfast, the dock, and the staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful.

There wasn’t a beach to swim at, per se. The property butts up against a sea wall and isn’t a traditional beach in that sense.

This resort exceeded our expectations. The grounds create the perfect Caribbean vide which is just what we were looking for. The hotel was full but we never felt crowded. In fact, many times throughout our 9 day stay we felt we had the resort to ourselves. The villas are well appointed with great care taken by the staff to ensure you have everything you need. I loved that our room had a private outdoor shower. The food was so good we found that it didn't make a lot of sense to leave the property for meals. We felt like family and it was an incredible all around experience for our 10 year anniversary.

If you are wanting to be close to San Pedro but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of town, Victoria House is the place to be. The staff was so warm and welcoming and they worked tirelessly to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The food was delicious and the grounds and resort were meticulously cared for. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

The only thing I could say is there is not access to what one would consider a normal beach with walk in water access. However, this is something we were aware of when we booked our stay. The beach area and options made by the resort are great and you really won't feel like you are missing out on anything.

The restaurant prices were very expensive, but there were some other good places a short walk away. Also, the shower was very slippery with nothing to hold on to and nothing for friction on the floor of the shower

Everything was perfect at the Victoria House! The staff was super friendly. The food was excellent. The location is amazing! You never have to leave if you don't want to. With that said, it's nice to go an experience other aspects of the island, but have a beautiful and quite place to come back to.
