The hotel used to be the Brazilian Consulate and is quite simply gorgeous inside and out. The period features are wonderful and the hotel is beautifully maintained with great attention to detail on display everywhere. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. I loved the atrium / courtyard filled with trees and colourful potted plants and the many different communal areas where you could relax, read or catch up on emails or the news. The rooftop breakfast and dinner spot has lovely views of the UNESCO rated old town. Reception staff speak perfect english and all staff are super polite and helpful.

Nothing - this is as good a boutique 5 star hotel as you will find anywhere in the world

The hotel does well on the important points: bed, breakfast, quiet and clean, private outdoor space, location, safety. It separates from the field in providing fresh flowers in all rooms and common areas, original indigenous weaving well mounted in each room, sight lines across the city from several interior places, and well tended greenery..

The staff, uniformly friendly and polite, themselves seem like visitors to Sucre. They don’t know available walking tours (common knowledge at every hostel), merits of the best museums, transportation costs or restaurants beyond the ordinary. Self preparation is always important, here it’s essential.

We stayed at Pueblo Samary twice, in the beginning and end of our trip. It is an absolutely wonderful hotel. The courtyard is beautiful. It has great terraces and it's fun to find a spot to watch the sunset at the end of the day. The staff were so nice, making it feel like home. The breakfast was fantastic. I definitely want to return to Sucre and will absolutely stay at Pueblo Samary. It is a great hotel. It was so nice to return to the beautiful flowers and serene nature of the hotel. I met a number of interesting people at breakfast. I had a perfect experience!

- we loved the rooftop, exceptional views of the city - everything we wanted to do was walking distance; we were able to do things in the morning, return to the hotel during lunch when lots of things closed and go out again in the afternoon, very comfortable comunal areas too! - the staff were very accommodating and kind (especially after I got a little mixed up with our buses, they bent over backwards to accommodate us). - great breakfast - comfortable room - reasonable price!

The room was spacious, very clean and well decorated. The breakfast was fantastic, with egg & french toast or waffle options, fresh fruit, coffee options, and some local options as well (api morado). The staff was incredibly helpful and spoke both English and Spanish. Great location, within walking distance of most everything you'd want to do in Sucre.

Our room just had an unlucky location, and we didn't get a great view out of our window - but all that took was stepping out onto the balcony to get a lovely view of the city.

Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and enjoyed my stay here. Breakfast is excellent. The let me check in early which was really appreciated after a long night bus. Would stay again.

Only gripe is that when extending in person they tried to charge a higher rate than I could book via Booking.com. Feel that as an existing guest the best rate should be been offered directly especially as they aren’t paying any fees to the platform.

Beautiful building, with courtyard and terraces. The room was large and nicely decorated. The breakfast was very good, delicious coffee, various egg dishes, fruit, juice, fresh crêpe.

just a tip: A proper duvet cover would help, as the thin sheet kept slipping. A lot of feathers came out of the thick duvet, which were then everywhere. I know this type of bed linen is common in the region, but there are other sheets available (at casaideas, for example).

Cute little hotel a few blocks from Sucre's town square. Rooms are spacious and clean, as are the bathroom, and have heating (important during the winter months). The breakfast buffet is quite extensive, besides eggs, pancakes, French toast and wafgles are made to order. The restaurant akso offers coffee specialties like cappuccino and latte for breakfast. I especially liked the Bolivian breakfast offer of api and buñuelos! Also, the view from the restaurant of Sucre or the hotel's patio is fantastic.

Parking is an issue. While you can park for free in the street, keeping it safe in a garage costs you per hour! If you stay in Sucre for a few days, this adds up, as the hotel only covers the nightly charges. The staff at the restaurant has a fairly arrogant attitude.

The hotel is beautiful, tranquil, and in a great location. The beds are very comfortable, the staff lovely, and the breakfast delicious. The rooftop view is spectacular. Wifi is also fairly reliable and fast.

Because the hotel is housed in an old, colonial-era building, though it has lots of charm, the walls are thin in case you have neighbors talking late at night. The shower pressure was also not very good.

Mi Pueblo Samary Hotel Boutique is perhaps the best and most beautiful hotel I have stayed at in my life. It was central in a beautiful historical part of town. It was a restored historical building. It was clean, the rooms were warm, spacious and welcoming. The breakfast (which was included in the price) was great and included traditional Bolivian breakfast foods too. Please stay at this hotel if you visit Sucre.
