The pousada is very relaxing with great views over the bay. There are a variety of options for breakfast and it was all very tasty. The music at the pool area is very chilled and it's great area to spend some time with a good book. All the staff are amazing, especially the concierges, Carlos, Elias, Israel and Lucas! Special shout out to Carlos for the best caipirinha and Lucas for speaking brilliant English! The owners did a great job at renovating the Pousada and Rolf (who also makes an amazing caipirinha with his own cachaça) is a pleasure to speak to. We had a room with a spa bath which was great. They are in the process of building a gym/spa area (don't worry you won't see it unless you look into the garden at the bottom/hear a sound) which will be a great addition. The beach is 5 minutes walk, down a hill. There is a hill on the way back up, we walked it but I think the hotel can provide a lift in their kombi if needed. The centre of Buzios is about around 10 minutes drive. It costs between 10-20 reais with Uber which is cheaper than the local taxis.

Everything, location, amazing staff that goes above and beyond to answer questions and take care of any needs! Lucas, Ismael, Carlos, Israel reception staff were the nicest friendliest and had every detail in mind…..I was here for my Birthday and they sent a cake up to our room!! I’ve never stayed in such a wonderful place with the perfect atmosphere, beautifully decorated Pousada ,very comfortable, clean! Pool area is great with wonderful Bossa Nova music playing making it even nicer along with the views!!Excellent breakfast which we got in our rooms 3 days during our stay! It’s like every day they have a little treat for you……tea/lunch for the afternoon and one day complimentary Caipirinha’s!! Our transfers were arranged by them from Rio to Buzios so we had a wonderful worry free vacation! I thank the whole staff and the owner who is great to chat with! Since the moment I booked the stay they have been communicating with me about our stay just making it very easy and care free!

Loved the pousada, really lovely ambience. Great breakfast, good restaurant recommendations (thank you, Lucas :)). Another staff member very kindly loaned me cash to pay my taxi as I arrived home one evening. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view - it really was the best place for the sunset. Quiet location. Lovely breakfast and breakfast room. Great pool, plenty of space, and sunbeds for everyone.

Some rooms had hammocks, mine didn't, and was also a bit of a walkway, so not as private as I'd have liked. Also, I would've liked somewhere (outside) to dry my beach towel and swimwear. It's a little out of town 7mins walk- not an issue, but it's a very steep uphill walk. Great exercise. Otherwise, take a cab :).

Calm location with beautiful views. Beautiful plunge pool with no chlorine, perfect temperature open 24hrs. Great breakfast and afternoon tea. Super comfortable beds.

Since the moment you walk in, you can see how beautiful this Pousada is! Everything has been well thought and is beautifully decorated. Incredibly clean, spacious room, delicious breakfast and breathtaking views! Not to mention how helpful and lovely the staff is We absolutely loved every second of our stay and would definitely come back!!

Wifi was a bit temperamental at times but I believe it had to do with the storm

Lovely staff & owner who couldn’t do enough to help. Great property which is clean, has good facilities and fantastic food & drinks. Location on the hill with great views & a short walk from the beach, bars & restaurants.

Our stay was really nice, the room was just as in the photos and the view from the balcony was great. AC worked great, Internet was fast and reliable. Plenty of tasty breakfast options, both vegetarian and not. I also asked staff where I could get a birthday cake and they offered to just bake one for me (and it was pretty good, not too sweat)!

You do have to climb a hill every time you come back but that's how you get that nice view.

I liked everything about the property. Located close to one of the best beaches in Buzios Jão Fernandes . Great views . Every single staff member was wonderful, owner was very pleasant you feel very welcome . Pool is beautiful, rooms clean , always beautiful music playing pool side by 10/10

If I said anything it would be a half lie

We loved the peace and quiet inside and outside. There is chill bossa nova music in the pool, great and helpful staff. Room service was very good, the best pizza we had all week. The owner is a gentleman and always looking for ways to make our stay wonderful and relaxed.

Everything! The owner was the most hospitable host we ever had anywhere we ever traveled in the world! The staff, the food, overall super ceded our expectations! We will be back!!🙏👍 The Goldens
