We found our stay to be very comfortable! The location itself is far from the city takes about 45 min but the bus line 409 is only 3-5 min away and was very helpful for us. The beach nearby is not as crowded or expensive as the Golden sands (with the exception of the weekend). A supermarket is nearby where we got water from and other essentials. The hallway in the villa is dark but rooms are comfy. The bathroom was clean.

The stench as others mentioned is probably due to not enough airing of the rooms. We stayed there 6 nights and by day 2 after keeping our doors open we got rid of it! That was probably the only thing that was off but manageable! Everything else was as you need! It's a good value for the price!

The location was great. A really close walk to the beach, probably somewhere around five minutes. The beach is not that crowded, there's both places to sit on the sand and you can also pay to sit under the umbrella. There's also bars where you can buy coffee or drinks on the beach. On your walk to the beach, there's a few shops where you can stop to get a snack or something to drink. If you book the apartments with a sea view, you can see the beach from the balcony. It's not that far from Varna either, if you're visiting with a car. The apartment was nice and clean, equipped with everything that is mentioned on the site. There's also a barbecue outside that you could probably use, however we didn't. There's a jacuzzi in the garden as well, I don't know whether you have to pay extra for it or not, we did not use this facility either. In the apartment, there's air conditioning both in the bedroom and living room, which is quite useful in the summer. Out on the balcony, there's a table with a couple of chairs where you can sit and drink your coffee and enjoy the view of the sea. You can also hang your clothes out to dry. There's both a washing machine and a dishwasher, if you need it. We did not have to use them. It does not have an actual parking lot, but you can park your car along the Villa seeing as there's plenty of space. Overall, it's great value for money.

We had booked two apartments, we got one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The one on the ground floor is quite bigger than the one on the first floor, it wasn't really an inconvenience but since they're the same price I'd ask for the one downstairs specifically if I only needed one. The only minus that I'd consider is that the person that meets you at the accommodation to give you the keys doesn't speak english, but it wasn't really a problem seeing as everything else was alright.

Price, Cleaness, Room Size

Faulty description of the provided space [maybe due to translation ?]: True, the apartment provides 2 beds, but there's only 1 bathroom with a short bathtub/shower combination (description says 2 bathrooms). There's no BBQ in the room or on the balcony, and no dishwasher in the kitchen. The TV has only a few bulgarian channels and so m e light bulbs inside, as well as all lights on the balcony aren't working. And, there's a nearly overpowering stench of sewer emitting from the bathroom [First thing I did was to buy some home scents]. Still, ovreally I would come here again [at least they have a working european toilet].

The view from the balcony is amazing. The apartment was spacious, with 2 ACs and a big balcony. The location is great, 5 minutes walking distance to the beach, close to a little grocery store and a nice restaurant (Sea View).

There are no cleaning services in the room. Some of the furniture elements are of low quality (eg. tables). The jacuzzi/ little pool in the garden was mostly closed. When we wanted to stay 3 days extra, we were offered a higher price per night and were asked to pay only cash.

Villa Katalina is on the northern edge of Varna. Check-in was completed at speed by the lady who met us. The apartment is furnished in a traditional style, and the main room is big, with a great kitchen area with plenty of work surfaces. Eating was at a low coffee table in front of the armchairs. Off this room were a large bathroom and a good-sized bedroom with a pleasant balcony overlooking a terrace - probably a bar or restaurant in the summer season. A driveway leads down from the villa to the main road. There is a good bus service (every 17 minutes) into town. We got off at the Tourist Office where the helpful English-speaking lady gave us information (but, as usual in Bulgaria many tourist sights are closed on Mondays) Nearby was a nice cafeteria-style restaurant called 'Kitchen' with good-priced dishes. From Villa Katalina we could also walk down the main road, off which were various beaches. There are a lot of building sites - Varna is still expanding its tourist accommodation but the beaches of yellow sand are still appealing.

I chose this villa because we have been several times in the past years, including in winter, and we have always been very satisfied. This time, however, there was a complete lack of cleanliness, the walls were covered with spider webs, the curtains were torn and falling from the wall. No one answered the phone during the stay, no one answered messages either on WhatsApp or on booking.com. Considering that a large part of the tourists staying are not from Bulgaria, it is MANDATORY that at least one of the housekeepers of the villa has minimal knowledge of the English language!!!!

Everything was perfect about the place. Stuff helpful and very nice, can help if needed with some explanations where and how to reach certain areas. Stuff is polite . Apartments we lived in certainly was worth the money. Would I come back there? Definitely

Near to the wonderfull beach, really nice seaview from the Balkony, friendly stuff, good towels!the seawater was still warm and the sun shining! A lot of sightseeing in the near surrounding!

the interior needs a lift up! The kitchen equipment was quite poor.

The price was quite good in March. The room was clean.

Not all the rooms' sea view is as beautiful as shown in the gallery. I guess it is the top floor only, that has the panaromic sea view. However, our room had a sea view and it was fine. The beach is quite close, but it was not easy to find the entrance to the beach. But, this is the municipality's concern rather than the hotel, of course.

Looks better in reality than in photos. It was clean. (Keep in mind that the location requires a car). Close to the beach. Easy check in/check out. Big apartment. Nice view. Separate rooms with a door that closes. Both the people in the bedroom and the living room have access to the balcony through 2 separate doors.

It was a hot plastic smell in the apartment. The couch in the living room wasn t comfortable at all. But for us it was no dealbreaker neither of these things.
