The hotel is well located, the staff is super nice, the breakfast is good and the rooms are super clean. It was super good holidays and we had a problem to buy the ferry tickets but the receptionist bought it for us, sent them by mail. Without him we couldn't come to Maio and would have a lost the hotel so you can trust them and just relax during your stay. They also have a restaurant and the food is good. The view from the rooftop is amazing and the neighborhood is quiet so it's relaxing.
Everything was perfect, we were sad to leave...

The manager of the little hotel makes everything you feel good there. As I booked very spontaneously, the room category I choosed was taken, so he offered me an upgrade. The roof top terrace is - as I could see - the highest around there and overviews whole Porto Ingles/Vila do Maio until the Salinas. Wonderful!! And you're just beside the big yellow church. Shower has hot water and veeery good pressure!!
I guess I was unlucky with the other guests on the same floor, in the same time I was there, as they were very, and I mean VERY, loud, at least until midnight and not just one night. The building is quite old and you can hear everything, at least, when you have such loud neighbours I had... So please, just take care, you're not alone in a hotel, so just talk and walk quietly during nights. 😉

The hotel is situated very well within the city. The staff was super nice! Room was spacious, bed comfy and there was everything I needed. The wifi was also wery strong. Breakfast was delicious.

nice location, people were kind. the late check out was possible
wifi was not working , we had to wait in front of the hotel for the check in because nobody was there.
