The hostel is right by the beach, as all the others. We had a small boat picking us up from the pier. The rooms were cleaned and they're swept at least a couple of times a day (since you always bring lots of sand from outside. The food is good, a bit overpriced (but i came from Vietnam and Cambodia is a lot more expensive in general, plus, islands always are). They do barbecue dinners every night with a lot of meet and fish options. There are also fireshows. I went during xmas and there was a very nice xmas party on the 25th. The beach is amaaaazing and stretches throughout the bay. If you want to see the sunset you have to cross the island (30min walk and a bit of a hike in the dark on the way back) and its so worth it.

We had stayed at other Onederz properties so we knew we’d enjoy our stay here, and it did not disappoint! Located right on the beach, bar/restaurant attached. Rooms are spacious and clean. t They have a safe provided, tea/coffee making facilities in the room, a nice patio area attached to room. Water pressure is good but water isn’t always hot, I think this is just how it is on the island as it was the same when we stayed at another property on the island. I seen comment that said air conditioning doesn’t work during the day but that must be in the dorms as our air conditioning worked the whole time! There’s a little gym and plenty of social areas outside, mini mart attached to reception. Pick by boat or trailer depending on the tides from the pier when you arrive on Koh Rong Samloem.

We loved everything

This was our 3d stay and we’re already looking forward to the next one – that’s how much we love it here! The location is unbeatable, right on the beach. The dorm rooms are super comfy, with aircon, big beds, privacy curtains, personal plugs and lights – everything you need for a good night’s sleep. The entire place is spotless thanks to the lovely cleaners who are always working hard to keep it that way. The staff are absolutely amazing – so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The bar has the best vibes, delicious cocktails, and perfect chill-out areas. The fire show are epic, and celebrating Khmer New Year here was unforgettable! Huge thanks to the whole Onederz team for looking after us so well. We’ll definitely be back! 🙏❤️

I stayed at Onederz Koh Rong Sanloem and had a genuinely pleasant experience. The hostel is situated right on the beachfront of Saracen Bay, offering stunning views and easy access to the sea. The atmosphere is laid-back, making it a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the island vibes.  The rooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning available during the night, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any inquiries or arrangements. I appreciated the complimentary boat pickup from the pier, which made arrival hassle-free.   The common areas were well-maintained, and there were plenty of spaces to relax, including a beachfront area with comfortable seating. While the food at the on-site restaurant was decent, there are also other dining options nearby if you’re looking to explore.  Overall, Onederz offers great value for money and is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a peaceful and enjoyable stay on Koh Rong Sanloem.

We had a good stay here. Private room was clean and comfortable. Decent air con power. Lots of hot water. A few stinks coming from the bathroom, but it's a tropical island so nothing out of the ordinary. The pathways around the rooms is also lovely, filled with beautiful flowers and plants. The beach front area is nice - the seats they offer are comfortable. No lounge beds on offer though. Saracen Bay is great, the beach is really beautiful. Cute animals roaming around, always looking for pats and strokes. Wifi is mostly strong in public areas. Nice range of games to play in the common areas. Not a noisy hostel late at night as some have previously mentioned.

Service was a bit up and down and a bit surly at times. Food is OK, but nothing special. It isn't that cheap either. The music played was on repeat and needed mixing up badly. The number of times I heard an instrumental version of Ed Sheeran songs was driving me crazy. It sometimes improved at other points in the day, but it was pretty much the same songs at the same times each day. It isn't hard to make a few play lists, especially for a social hostel like this?

The location of the complex is top-notch, right on the beach. The room was pretty clean, only under the bed some dust. The bathroom was ok, and the AC was good. The internet was ok, not fast, but you can do your job with patience. Ty and the other girl were the best receptionists. Both of them helped us a lot. Many thanks to them!

The guy with red nail polish on the fingers from the reception is the worst staff from all the complex. He is very rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Be aware that every Monday, there is a party here until 12:30-1:00 a.m. and the music is very, very loud. You can't sleep until it finishes. We didn't know this. Otherwise, we wouldn't choose this accommodation.

Amazing beachfront property, lots of comfy seats and felt the beach was quite clean. Relatively good variety of food but it was pretty much the same across the island. Fire show was good - I think it’s on every night.

We had a weird experience when a staff member checked someone into the room at 1am and stood talking loudly with them in Khmer for around 5 minutes. This woke the whole room up. The room was then woken up again at around 7.30am when staff and a man looking for the guest in question entered the room only to find that he was not in his bed. We were not particularly comfortable with the random man looking for this guest entering our room without warning, and not impressed to be woken up by it twice. This is a really nice hostel and I’m sure that was a one-off incident but it was really weird.

Very nice hostel. In front of the beach. The furnishings are old, but that's what makes them so charming. The dorm is large enough and is cleaned daily. The bed is large, has curtains and is clean. The food is very good, but a little more expensive than on the mainland. The staff are very friendly and take care of all matters

There were two things I didn't like. 1.) Cannabis was consumed several times in the restaurant area. That is not ok. If you want to consume, you can do it somewhere else, but not there. Above all, there are children there. These guests should be ashamed of themselves. And the staff should ban it and ask the guests to leave. 2.) the bathrooms. Unfortunately, they were always dirty. It may be because of all the sand, but there were always used items in the showers and the toilets were very dirty.

We booked Onederz as it was one of the few options left in Samloem over New Year. Our private room was functional but lacked atmosphere (just a row of rooms in a building). The bungalows were slightly better, overlooking the garden, but not the most inviting place to relax. The bar was a highlight—right by the sea, with swings and plenty of seating. However, we were really disappointed by the beach, which was covered in rubbish (especially after coming from the much cleaner Koh Rong). There were parties, but we couldn’t hear them from our room. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but we didn’t love the location. We much preferred the other side of Samloem—Lazy Beach and Sunset Beach were absolutely beautiful!

When you book Onederz, you get an uncomparable vibe for a fair price. Very nice and good-mooded staff, very simple rooms with comfortable beds and the best entertainment on the island. From good music to fire shows, you‘ll find wonderful combo of relaxing holidays and enjoying time with strangers from all over the world.

They just started some construction work, but it didn’t caused major issues for us. Probably just a sign to get better for their guests in the future. Cocktails are good, but not as good as in Siem Reap (from their fantastic barkeeper). And prices are well higher than in the mainland‘s Onederz.
