We chose a room with a sea view which was sensational: the apartment was clean, had good storage options, and the beautiful beach (not too busy, and with a view on the whole bay) is just literally a few steps from the balcony. We liked the breakfast too. Additionally, the background music in the restaurant is classy and fits the relaxed scenery - it is rare feature these days. The staff was helpful, and Mr. Hong kindly addressed all of our queries during our stay. Thank you!

Just a minor one: the shower water pressure could be higher in the bathroom.

Perfect location - nice end of the beach, quiet but still an easy walk to other cafes etc. Spacious and well-equipped rooms. Friendly staff.

It would be good for guests and the environment if the hotel invested in providing 20 litre water bottles for guests to refill their personal water bottles with.

- very calm, secluded place with a beautiful beach and amazing view from the villa - good Wi-Fi - nice villas - good breakfast - friendly staff

- our room was cleaned just once in 5 days and it was made only after our request! - no shower gel, only a poor soap included (we bought a bottle ourselves for 4,5$, so it’s better to bring your own) - water pressure in a shower could be better. I have long hair and it was a challenge for me to wash off a shampoo - no TV - power cuts several times per day. Electricity was back just in a second, but it was quite annoying with an AC switch on/off noise in the middle of the night as well as reconnection to WIFI at a day time

We had to walk from the pier to the hotel as the sea state was too choppy for the hotel boat to pick us up. It gave us the opportunity to see a lot of the other beach front hotels. As other reviewers have commented, the beach at the Saracen Bay Resort is far and away the best kept, it was a relief to see it after seeing the others. The beach had a bit of a breeze and the water was lovely. The welcome we received when we checked in was warm and the free drink both welcome and cool. The staff are fantastic and friendly. All the bungalows are identical (as far as I can see) and they're huge. The shower was great, good toiletries and lots of towels. Also lots of places to sit inside and out 😀 No TV, you're on holiday. The food in the restaurant (we had 2 evening meals there) was superb and a good price. Top tip: read your welcome message as it mentions which ferry service to choose as the different options use different piers. I didn't read the message and therefore chose the wrong one

- We have mixed opinions on the bed, I thought it was way too hard whilst my husband found it ok. - Lack of privacy from people walking past. The bungalows have a whole wall of glass and people look in unless you have your curtains closed, but you don't want to close them as the view is glorious - For me, I don't think it represented great value for money

the property is on a more quiet end of the Saracen bay. the stretch of beach that belongs to the property is beautiful and they offer comfortable sun beds and umbrellas

I don’t think hotels should offer bottled water to their guests any more. there is a big waste issue on the island (and everywhere) so why not offer guests filtered water that they can use to refill their own reusable bottles?

The villa was front row opening directly onto the beach with wonderful views of the tropical white beach and sea. The A/C was quiet and efficient. The staff were efficient and unobtrusive, but available when needed. The facilities were modern, plenty of coat hangers etc, The power sockets accepted UK square pin. An indoor seating area and on outdoor terrace. The curtains to the full width window and door were light proof, so no unwanted early morning sunshine. The included breakfasts were ample and well cooked with a wide choice

The shower was an electrical unit delivering hot water but with a very poor pressure. The water to the basin was cold only. There was a new hotel complex next to the resort, the building work mostly finished but not operational at the time of our visit. So no problem for us. I would anticipate the finishing off of the works in the near future might cause some noise/disruption.

Very nice bungalow, spacious, daily cleaning, located on the quiet side of the beach, not far from the pier either. Terrace is huge, with sofa table and chairs, it’s really lovely. Room also spacious, with fridge & kettle, sofa table and desk. Restaurant served lovely food, with Asian, khmer & western option. Cocktails are also nice here. (No happy hour) The surrounding areas are very green and hide the other bungalows in front of you. They build it in a way you have more privacy too. You feel in the nature with sea view path even if you are not beachfront. Staff are very friendly.

Staff were fantastic and kind and helped with everything. Speedboat drop off pier right on top of resort - 3 minute walk. Resorts sends a little boat to transfer your luggage for you - all well organised. Slower boat ferry a 10 min walk away but same arrangements made. Reception will call boat company to confirm your return pick up. Location on the beach was the most peaceful on the entire beach, water cleanest and calmest point with few boats. Rooms large. Restaurant quiet and very open . Most people walk 10 mins along beach front to other restaurants either independent or linked to a resort. Be careful with BBQ options - some resorts look after their seafood better before cooking than others. Hostels not so careful (bugs running over food on display). More popular places (eg Sara's) are cleaner and fast turnover means fresher food used. Food prices have gone up. Dish $7, BBQ $10-18, Beer 2, coffee $3, allow $ 25-30 with one drink for dinner for 2 people. 3x a week, fire thrower show moves along beach Infront of dining for 15 mins. Very easy to pick up a 1hr boat trip $10 to swim with glowing plankton. At end of season waterfall dried up and dirty (don't bother), walk to lazy beach/sunset beach (40 min) ok but nothing their, lots of plastic - Saracen Bay better.

Restaurant food choice was limited and quite western in style. Portions very small and more expensive than other restaurants on beach including drinks. Room cleaning meant arranging pillows and replacing drinks. Floors could have been mopped and surfaces wiped. Bed mattresses very hard. Air conditioner had no instructions and a printed guide in room would help. Also some signs to improve requests to cleaner in room would help. A make up room/do not disturb sign would help. See-through day time curtains would provide privacy into room. Cannot keep on air conditioner during day with only one key - bit mean considering you cannot stay out in 100F hear at height of day and room warms up quickly. Points above are all minor - the stay was nice

We had a great and calm stay. We choose the stay mainly because we were looking for a quite and clean place and haven’t been disappointed. This resort is one of the few which actually looks like on the pictures and actually is even more beautiful in real. we considered the „One resort“ before and are so happy we choose this resort instead as the first one is soooo different from the pictures in real life and doesn’t seem like good value for your money. ah the Saracen bay resort it was the opposite. Channy was a great help and very friendly. also it was the most quite stay of the Saracen beach and the cleanest one. not far away from the resort are a lot of great food options. if you’re around on the island a visit at Lazy beach is recommendable

in general about the islands: there is way more garbage on the beach then we expected. there are also trucks and quads allowed on the beach. such a Pitty for the otherwise so beautiful island. but as mentioned before: the beach of the Saracan bay resort is the cleanest. If you want to stay at saracan beach- this resort is the best option

On the quieter end of the bay. The room was huge. Staff was knowledgeable and super friendly.

The sea view villas are actually second row and you can see some of the beach and sea only through the gap if bungalows in front of you.
