For someone who lives in the city, the quietness and darkness of the night sky is peaceful. The beds were comfy and the bathroom and kitchen counters and sinks were all modern while the overall decor had character. The stand out of the stay was the host Josh. He included the breakfast which was hearty and delicious for our stay even when we didn't book directly. He was very kind and caring, something you can only find from a family run business.

There was a odd insect here and there but nothing you wouldn't expect.

Aside from one other guest, we had the place to ourselves. Very large and homey 2 storey lodge with clean bath and kitchen facilities. Our room was larger than expected. Full kitchen facilities to use, large communal living area with comfy sofa and chairs, lots of woodwork for that country feel. A second smaller kitchen upstairs with windows and couch to look out of. Beautiful setting with lots of birds and open space. Josh greeted us and showed us around and then left us to relax... he was great.

If you sleep in the loft bed, the ladder is STEEP and there is no grab handles anywhere. Hot tub was closed, which we normally don't use but would have at this lodge because of the beautiful surroundings.

This accommodation far exceeded out expectations. We stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroomed ‘cottage’ which was more of a lodge. We were left to our own devices but met Josh before we left , quite by chance. A very friendly and interesting host. Breakfast was left in the fridge for us, a lovely and welcome surprise as there were very few shops around in the small hamlet. Beautiful views and location.

Breakfast was great, and the owner Josh was very friendly. The home/lodge is quaint, with a common TV room, pool table, and small hot tub.

While the place is very comfortable, the TV room is shared. It was monopolized by one couple for hours each night which led little option to relax before bed with your own show. The place was clean, but the water source had a slight sulfur smell. This water left an odd taste on its own, which was a challenge when going for long hikes in the day and needing hydration. We ended up buying water bottles in bulk instead of filling up water bladders or hiking bottles.

Breakfast was AMAZING! Highly recommend it. I even woke up early for it :D The owners were really nice, and they also own a small grocery store nearby (just a 10 min walk away). The rooms were really warm and cozy, and the overall ambience was really good.

The bathroom for some rooms was shared, so be careful in terms of what you are booking. The location is also slightly far from Waterton Park, but the overall experience was so good that I am wiling to ignore it.

We chose this as a more affordable option when visiting option. Our stay was like a home away from home. The cabin had everything we needed. So much space and a beautiful view. Very much appreciated the calm of our surroundings. I would definitely return!

Such a beautiful cottage and lodge, it has such a deep history which makes it that much more special. Everything was amazing. We stayed in the cottage which was beautiful, cozy and had every facility you need. The location is great, very close to Waterton and also other areas of interest. Josh is also super nice. 10/10 recommend.

There was no breakfast served. Apparently you need to book directly with the lodge to get the breakfast. Unfortunately I didn’t see the email sent from Josh the morning of, so didn’t know there was no breakfast u tip after we arrived .

That the website advertised free breakfast but it wasn’t available.

The location was easy to find and in a quiet neighborhood. The place is extremely clean and tidy. I had everything I need for my stay and Jan was really helpful. I think I fell in love with this place.

I stayed in the cottage ( was not the original plan). As a solo traveller I like if I can lock my room door.

Absolutely a Southern Alberta gem, truly great Value in Waterton. 14km drive to the park. Neat Caribou Outpost store nearby. Bring your own food or order from the menu. We brought Gravity chairs to enjoy the stars at night, we were not disappointed. Played pool. Hot tub is closed off season. Already booked our next visit.

We loved it all. No complaints.
