The room was very clean, smelled nice, and the beds were comfortable! The check-in/out process was smooth and the individual who checked us in was friendly. The location was great.

The only minor issue was that the front desk staff were not very accessible, we had a question in the evening and were not able to contact anyone as the office door was locked and there was no answer on the phone, but it wasn't a huge deal. I'm sure if we'd kept trying we eventually would have been able to reach someone.

We were looking for a hotel that was an hour or so away from Calgary Airport on our way back from Yellowstone Park. Nanton fit the bill perfectly. The location was great. Right off the highway but a 3 minurte drive to restaurants,Tim Hortons, etc. Very clean and quiet. Well maintained. Excellent value for the cost.

There seem to be some 'longer term residents' there, who engaged us in conversation, calling down to us from their doorways while we waited to be checked in. Still not sure if they're on staff, or just guests. It was a little odd. Made us a little uncomfortable at the start but was no big deal in the end.

Strict rules on pets and smoking. I liked that. The owner should know if there is a pet so they can put you in a room that pets generally go in. That way it's easier to accommodate guests that may have allergies and they know to clean a little better.

A chinook rolled in. That was nice, but the parking lot wasn't cleared very well. A common theme throughout the town. So it was very slippery getting around with melting ice everywhere. And the door didn't latch too well. You have to push it shut hard. The place looked like the exterior could use some sprucing up and a paint job.

I have not stayed in a small town motel like this in 1 million years, so at first it was a bit of a shock to the system. I am used to staying in much higher and accommodation. That said, for the money it was pretty good and the people were friendly, and I felt quite safe. It’s just a very low, end accommodation for workers, from what I could see. The manager was super friendly and helpful, and I had no issues whatsoever.

The cost of the room is excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Nice big tv. Easy check in.

Sign as soon as you open the door to take off your shoes NOW and not to walk past that point. Loud bathroom fan always on when the light is on.

Highland Inn is close to northbound Highway 2 so it is a little noisy but is also convenient for all facilities. Staff were very helpful with information on Nanton and providing additional items - kettle and hair dryer.

The Staff was friendly and inviting. They keep the area of the hotel clean and tidy. They helped out with whatever you needed. The stores you needed are in the surrounding area just 2 min walk form the Inn.

Nanton is a small town. The Inn is between 2 highways.

Easy to check in, friendly staff. Son was playing hockey and it is right beside the rink.

Room was a little warm, but the windows open so no big deal. All in all a great little motel for the price.

The price was perfect for an older motel, exactly what we needed for a late 1 night stay over clean and safe.

$100 deposit has not been credited yet, which was pricy for an older motel and a retired couple traveling, not a rowdy couple of kids.

We have been going through a tough time as our pup just passed away. We needed to get out of town and we ended up in Nanton for a fishing trip. Everything was great and we would highly recommend this place. Thanks to the amazing staff.
