This is an older facility in a small town in rural Alberta. The room was plain but comfortable and we had no complaints. There is nothing special about the facility except it offers a reasonable place to sleep when on the road. There is a pub around the corner - very special small town experience I suspect - and a chinese restaurant walking distance down the street; and EV charger is a block away. Nanton has two exceptional museums - seems every small town has something exceptional that makes a visit worthwhile!

This isn't a palace. If you're looking for somewhere special, this isn't it. However we were comfortable and had no complaints.

The room was very clean, smelled nice, and the beds were comfortable! The check-in/out process was smooth and the individual who checked us in was friendly. The location was great.

The only minor issue was that the front desk staff were not very accessible, we had a question in the evening and were not able to contact anyone as the office door was locked and there was no answer on the phone, but it wasn't a huge deal. I'm sure if we'd kept trying we eventually would have been able to reach someone.

We were looking for a hotel that was an hour or so away from Calgary Airport on our way back from Yellowstone Park. Nanton fit the bill perfectly. The location was great. Right off the highway but a 3 minurte drive to restaurants,Tim Hortons, etc. Very clean and quiet. Well maintained. Excellent value for the cost.

There seem to be some 'longer term residents' there, who engaged us in conversation, calling down to us from their doorways while we waited to be checked in. Still not sure if they're on staff, or just guests. It was a little odd. Made us a little uncomfortable at the start but was no big deal in the end.

Strict rules on pets and smoking. I liked that. The owner should know if there is a pet so they can put you in a room that pets generally go in. That way it's easier to accommodate guests that may have allergies and they know to clean a little better.

A chinook rolled in. That was nice, but the parking lot wasn't cleared very well. A common theme throughout the town. So it was very slippery getting around with melting ice everywhere. And the door didn't latch too well. You have to push it shut hard. The place looked like the exterior could use some sprucing up and a paint job.

Awesome staff absolutely the best. A.J. is very professional and helpful. Central walking distance to everything. The plane museum, house of miniatures and cool restaurants and bars with lots of shopping. Call the Motel directly for a much better price.

I have not stayed in a small town motel like this in 1 million years, so at first it was a bit of a shock to the system. I am used to staying in much higher and accommodation. That said, for the money it was pretty good and the people were friendly, and I felt quite safe. It’s just a very low, end accommodation for workers, from what I could see. The manager was super friendly and helpful, and I had no issues whatsoever.

Easy access to all the places we wanted to go. Great small town.

Shag carpet and air conditioner were needing replaced, but for the price it is what I expected

The cost of the room is excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Nice big tv. Easy check in.

Sign as soon as you open the door to take off your shoes NOW and not to walk past that point. Loud bathroom fan always on when the light is on.

Good location at a reasonable price. Not a resort, but good for a one-night stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. Would stay again.

The rooms are dated and could use upgrading.

Highland Inn is close to northbound Highway 2 so it is a little noisy but is also convenient for all facilities. Staff were very helpful with information on Nanton and providing additional items - kettle and hair dryer.
