The breakfast was good. Had a selection of fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and hot items like hashbrowns, sausage and eggs. The coffee in the breakfast room was quite good. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave me all my requests for my room. IE: ground floor, outside access. The shampoo and soap provided smelled quite nice.

There was a little bit of bar soap left over in the shower on one of the shelves from previous guest. Not a lot, like just one edge of the bar soap. I didn't have my pet with me this time so I didn't see any green space to take pets out for doing their business. It could be there but I didn't see it. Also, even though I didn't need the help, it would have been nice to have them offer to help with my bags. The telephone number for Westlake Inn provided by booking.com on my confirmation email is incorrect. I forgot to mention that to them while I was there. I had to look it up online in order to contact them prior to my arrival.

Beds and pillows were very comfy!! Room and hotel was clean!! We liked that we had access to the outside from our room and another door to the inside hallway...nice design feature. Staff was very friendly!! Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety..hot and cold.

It was nice to have coffee pods in the room only they supply 3 pods. If we would of had 4 people stay it would be nice to have an extra pod. We couldn't get the TV to work. I did report it to front desk in the morning and she would have someone look at it.

Great value for money! We had a budget for our trip driving across Canada and it’s crazy to realize that for the same amount of money allocated per night you have something completely different from one accommodation to another. This place definitely offers MORE for your money. I highly recommend. Plus, the breakfast is GREAT! If you need to stay in Calgary do yourself a favour and stay in this place instead. You won’t regret it for the amount you will pay.

Check in was frustrating. The 2 ladies at the front, 1 talking on the phone. They were speaking to each other and won’t even acknowledge us standing there. 1 stays on the phone and the other walks away and starts sweeping. She is motioned back by the other lady. Then says that we are half hour early for check in but the room is ready, so I guess it’s ok. Like, were they just expecting us to know it wasn’t check in? Were they going to leave us waiting without an explanation. Very unusual and unprofessional.

This hotel offers more than outward appearance would suggest. Very clean, good value for money, pet-friendly, with a well supplied breakfast room. We appreciate being able to park outside our door for easy access. The Tesla chargers are not far away. The hotel backs on a large playing field, and the adjacent residential neighbourhood offers a good quiet area for dog-walking.

I’m a positive person and tend to see the good rather than the negative. I (we) were satisfied and happy enjoying the facilities at WestLake. Wish we could have got there a little early so we could have done a lake walk around.

Perfect hotel for needing to be near Calgary for an early flight but the price is so much better than staying right in Calgary. Right off Highway 1, but very quiet. Old but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly good with both hot and cold options and great coffee

The hotel is a little older but rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided was very good. There are laundry facilities if you need but no exercise room

Snack machine was pretty much empty, I walked to 7-11 which is about a block away

Location was good. Room was clean. Beds allowed for good sleep. Breakfast was basic, but good. Breakfast area was tidy and well laid out. Outside and interior room access was a nice feature.

“Hot food” could have been warmer, but microwave availability solved that problem.

The property is older but the rooms are refreshed, clean and comfortable.

I was on the second floor with no elevator. The stairways were steep and narrow, making it a bit difficult to carry luggage to the room. The breakfast was ok but not very hot.
