We are very familiar with the Harrison Hot Springs area, as it’s only about an hour and a half’s drive from Vancouver — a perfect distance for family trips with seniors who prefer not to travel too far. Accommodation options here are either very high-end or quite basic, and it's hard to find good mid-range places. This motel’s newly renovated two-bedroom suite was a wonderful surprise! The suite is spacious, bright, and offers a stunning floor-to-ceiling view of Harrison Lake. One bedroom has a king-size bed, the other has two queen-size beds, and there’s also a queen-size sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a large fridge, cookware, and seasonings — perfect for families. Even better, two adjacent guest rooms are also available, allowing the space to host around 14–16 people altogether. It's a fantastic option for small group retreats or team-building events. The location is excellent: just a two-minute walk to the Harrison Public Hot Springs Pool, with plenty of restaurants and cafés downstairs. A leisurely evening walk by the lakeside was the perfect way to end the day. We were extremely happy with our stay and will definitely come back again!

Good kerig coffee pot, refr, microwave and water kettle. Beautiful modern decor. Large bright bathroom. Nice balcony, table for two with a good sideways view of the beautiful lake. Comfy bed, lots of pillows

Parking. Not enough parking spaces. I am a elderly solo travelling woman, I was told to park around the block, behind the building on a poorly lit, no sidewalk area. I was then to walk back around the block to enter the hotel late at night. And in the morning I had to haul my luggage back to where I parked offsite. Not exceptable.

The room was fairly big and modern although it has some wear and tear which could be taken care of. It was stocked well with dishes and cooking supplies. It was mostly clean. I've seen better and worse. Overall was pleased and would stay here again if ever back in town.

Basic cable which in modern days offers not much really for something to watch in the evening. Netflix or a smart TV would be nice traveling with kids. The lake is beautiful but very cold so hard to handle the temp unless it was really hot out. The parking on site is tight and limited so some sort of overflow parking would be nice. The price was reasonable overall. Probably paying for location mostly as opposed to paying for the amenities!

Great location. Nice alternative to the pricier hotels in Harrison. Owner was helpful and very hospitable. Restaurant and gelato shop co-located is nice (and delicious). They hand squeezed their orange juice in the restaurant and had the fluffiest pancakes! The suite was very roomy and comfortable with air conditioners in every room. Disposable slippers were provided (nice touch when you track in sand from the beach). The kitchen facilities were great for small meals and snacks. Full size fridge (apartment size) if you want to make your stay more economical by cooking some of your own meals. It is located right across from the lagoon so really nice to lake watch from your patio chairs and scope out your spot on the beach before you head over. Also very close to Muddy Waters cafe, Baskin Robbin’s, the Greek restaurant and a few other ice cream shops.

The property is new so they’re still working out a few things: They need to add an ice machine and make sure that all dishes and extra tissues and toilet paper are in the unit at the beginning so that you don’t have to ask for things (eg extra mugs or glasses, extra t.p.). There is no phone in the suite so you have to walk over to reception if you have a question or need something. There is currently only cable, no streaming services, so hopefully that would be added soon. However, these were very minor issues for what was really a very comfortable and pleasant stay overall.

Great location, clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff. A couple of days after we had checked out, our car happened to break down near the motel. Not knowing what to do, I went back to the motel, where the lovely lady at reception remembered me and called for assistance. Not sure what we would have done without her!

Spacious appartment. Clean. Well equipped kitchen (but no salad bowl). Great bedroom and bathroom. Owner did our laundry. That was very kind of him and we are thankful for that. Great view (but covered). The room we booked is called the “honeymoon suite”. I wouldn’t go that far. It’s a motel and a very good one but not so much romantic.

The windows are covered and can’t be opened so the great view is a bit hidden. Can’t take photos because of the cover. Owner was a bit neggy, so check in took too long than it should with personal questions and chitchat, and even though he was polite and kind, he didn’t give us space. Knocked on the door twice after we asked him to wait for us to come down and collect the laundry. There was noise coming from the corridor. The owner over the room key in a odd way, by placing it on his own hands so we would grab it from his hands, which was somewhat inappropriate. Owner pushed about going out to certain restaurants where he gets commission from visitors and asked too much about our plans. .

The location was great and the staff were all friendly, especially the owner who upgraded our room to a suite, the lady on reception was kind and like the owner asked how we were almost every day.

Sadly restaurants closed early, mainly because the resort during the week was very quiet

Grand Motel is situated right on Harrison Lake, close to the restaurants and shops. Our room was small but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. We were there in early spring so the motel wasn't crowded but anyway it was very quiet. We had a peek-a-boo view of the lake and mountains, and the cost was about the lowest we found for any of the accommodations right on the lake.

the location was great- right on the beach, with a great guests only patio overlooking the lake. Easy to find, on site parking. rooms have recently been renovated and have many thoughtful touches (slippers for your coffee on the patio). Owner was friendly and helpful, offering advice for dinner on my check in, and help getting my flat tire inflated and to a shop on my way out! I was so grateful for the kindness! room was super clean, and was a great mid-range choice for my time at Harrison!

I've seen reviews about this place that sounded like they expected a 5-star-hotel type of experience and then weren't happy about what they found. But let me just say that if you're aware this is a Motel and you don't have unrealistic expectations, you won't be disappointed! First of all the owners are so friendly and helpful. I love that this is a family-run hotel. We were traveling with our 4yo twins and were upgraded from the Studio to the 2-bedroom Suite, which was very appreciated, although I think we would have made the Studio work too :) The Suite was really spacious, the 2 separate bedrooms were very helpful getting the children to bed. We had a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountains and the lake that's just across the road. Everything was clean (apart from some sand here and there, but I mean you're right by the beach, so I refuse to view that as a negative), the room was well equipped with a Keurig and pods, salt & pepper, all the things you need in the kitchen, a TV in every bedroom and living room. The TV's have cable and a chromecast. Wifi and parking is included. We felt like home during the few days we were here and will definitely come back!

You do hear your neighbours and the cars driving by (on a not very busy street) while in your room. But the hotel guidelines state that quiet hours are between 10PM and 7AM which I find reasonable and everyone seems to honor that.
