Staff was extremely kind and considerate when we called late in the evening desperately needing somewhere to stay overnight after a hellish day. They took care of us without our asking or expecting, by upgrading our room, having a dog bowl ready for our dog to use, and personally greeting and helping us even though we arrived late at night. It was quiet, the mattress was a soft yet supportive tempur-pedic and the room and bathroom was clean. We really appreciated that the room did not smell like smoke like many motel rooms do, even if they are labeled non smoking. We also loved that the shampoo and body wash supplied in the shower were both large, pump top, normal bottles of shampoo and body wash instead of tiny sachets or bottles that most places have. A soft, large bathmat and ceramic mugs for our coffee in the morning, two large soft extra blankets and lots of plugs at the nightstand all helped us feel more at home than in a motel. Nice to park outside our room too and have a small patio and a yard right outside our room's ground level sliding door to let our Lab run around a bit in the morning. Only suggestion we have for the Monashee is to improve wifi reception in rooms such as ours which were on the opposite end of the building from the front office. We will be back here, though, we are sure.

The location was good. Easy to get into and leave. Some nice walking areas nearby. The TV worked well. The microwave came in handy, as did the fridge/freezer. Coffee was provided but I wanted a cup of tea. I asked for some tea at the front desk and some tea bags were provided to me.

The rooms are not soundproof and our neighbors were noisy, particularly on the first night. It was therefore difficult to fall asleep. The air-conditioner was very noisy at first, probably until the room reached a cooler temperature. Then it was okay.

It was just outside of town which was nice. Really cool yard behind the hotel we hung out in to cool off. The owners are super nice people.

Regardless of checkout time or signage on the door, the owners were hell bent on cleaning the room lol. They would come by, open the door and keep walking on by.

Location is great, check in was super easy with friendly staff, price was very reasonable and was just what we needed as we were just passing through.
