It is hard to describe what a relaxing environment this inn provides- a peaceful, airy room with beautiful windows you can open, lovely old house etc. We would definitely return. The location was also conveniently close to things.

A few simple changes would've put this experience at a higher level. When we arrived, our host was lovely and helpful but then completely vanished behind closed doors that said Employees Only. We had a few questions but were reluctant to knock on the door. Leaving that door ajar might have been nice or even telling us to knock with any questions would have been more welcoming. I completely approve of the idea of large bottles of shampoo and body wash in the bath instead of small bottles; however there was no bar soap. And the body wash was an oatmeal exfoliation type that was not my favorite. A bottle of hair conditioner would have also been nice.

Great location, lovely room (nicely decorated, comfy bed, great bathroom), convenient breakfast and lovely private seating if that's what you wanted.

I would have give a 9 or 10 if some basic repairs were in place( ac was broken and the temporary one was not well installed, staircases off front deck and back gondola area were rickety) and the back outside area looked unkempt. We also were on 3rd floor...my mistake for not requesting a lower floor(hubby got injured after I made reservation)..ps...place could use a sign advertising the place name. I was confused when I saw spa signage only.

Security - excellent keyless system for accessing the building & traditional key for room. Room & common area - very well laid out & loved the Victorian decor of the main entrance & common areas. Our room had a mix of modern & older furniture, with all the modern amenities: TV, cable, heat/AC, bathroom with shower/tub. Large window looked out on the garden below. Loved the stained glass windows that faced the river. Breakfast - we did not go to breakfast. I was in town to run in the marathon event so out the door before bkfst was served & arrived back after serving was completed. The host was quite accommodating to inquire about what guests wanted from a decently sized menu but we'll try it another time.

Mattress was quite firm, more than we're used to, however sleep was ok. Outdoor grounds were a bit untidy with bits of wood, etc. laying around; in need of spring cleanup

Very nice B&B just outside of downtown Fredericton, no more than a 25-30 minute walk. It was safe area right by the water. The B&B is a beautiful heritage style house, which has been kept in good condition. The communication upon arrival was very good, and my room was ready immediately. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was nice and they have a clear system on placing your order the night before. They were able to serve breakfast right when I needed it so I wasn't delayed to get to where I needed to be. I liked the personal touch, as it is a newcomer family that is running the B&B and they are very nice and welcoming.

Comfortable beds, very clean and quiet. Convenient to walk or bicycle into downtown Fredricton (bike path is very close to BnB). Beautiful front porch to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or dinner. Breakfast was amazing, with a choice of about 6 different options. Interesting old historical house. I would have loved to know more about it--a brochure on the history would be nice.

Room refrigerator was tiny--could only hold a can of soda or Chinese take-out container (see photos). There was a dorm-size fridge in the hallway to be shared between the 5 units on the floor, and another small fridge on the main lobby floor.

Large old house on the river but there is no view of it, and there is no riverside path. Although it is possible to walk along the shore to the Marriot hotel restaurant which we found to be very good. Our room and bathroom were large and there was plenty of storage.

No coffee facilities except at breakfast, and the breakfast although good was limited. On the outskirts of the town so a short drive to get there.

Beautiful location to be snowed in, cozy indoors. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the summer on the deck overlooking the river! Our room was lovely, very clean and bright. Gorgeous Jacuzzi tub for two and walk in shower were immaculate. Owners were easy to reach when we ordered takeout in the evening and needed cutlery. Looking forward to staying again sometime.

It didn't bother us, but as a historical property be prepared for lots of stairs to access the rooms.

Beautifully and faithfully restored century home formerly owned by a New Brunswick "lumber baron" family. Restored to its former glory just as Covid struck. Fortunately the current owners had the financial resources to weather Covid and save this gem for the traveling public. Large comfortable rooms with modern AC and bathroom facilities. Would definitely make this our place to stay if travelling through Fredericton again.

The way nobody comes and welcomes you when you arrive : you have to check in at the door with your phone, which, when you come from Europe, is tricky and expensive. The shower for room 8 is not en suite and rather difficult to use without splashing the whole bathroom. No lift and no help with luggage. No possibility to make a hot drink in the room

The warm and hearty welcome, the location, the amazing room and the large hot whirlpool bath - delightful surprise, the quality of the breakfast, eating the breakfast with the other guests in the beautiful dining room at the large table, the ambiance, the host, the gorgeous dog. Best B&B we have stayed in on our canada adventure. We have recommended it to friends who have a child studying at the local university as an amazing place to stay.

Absolutely minor niggles. Ensure all the windows have blinds for privacy reasons (the left hand area where the writing desk was and is overlooking the street didnt have any window converings)
