Host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, great local knowledge and happy to share it. Whole building was very clean and felt very safe. Loads of easy free parking. BBQ area was great and use of bikes was also a fun bonus. Location is in the middle of Sandy Banks and Wellington, both of which were favourites for beaches. Room size was large and the large beds were very comfy. Great selection of TV channels. We had a pleasant 2 night stay :)

Being a bit picky as our stay was absolutely fine with no real complaints, but the pull out bed was incredibly uncomfortable and even our smallest child couldn't sleep on it so slept on the sofa instead. Although really large the room felt a bit 'garage' like. Tile ceiling and only one small window. Two doors that were locked but didn't know where they went inside the room. Lack of natural light. No hob, which is fine if you are happy to BBQ like we did but would be a big bonus if it was possible to have one so that you could cook in your self catering room.

It was a great stay at Empire Inn, but too short as we would have loved to stay a few more days! Sabrina is an amazing host, she loves taking good care of her guests, is very accommodating & nice! The location in Bloomfield is perfect for a trip to sandbanks or winery/brewery in the area. The room was huge and well equipped. We felt like home and will definitely go back in the future! Thanks Sabrina!!

Overall, it was great. Some equipment could improv even more the room : hanger for the wet things after the beach, a table more accessible with kids & control of the AC in the room (it was pretty cold at night).

Sabrina, the proprietor, was a delight. Very helpful and accommodating. Quiet setting, lots of parking, very close to walking trail. Steps from Main Street and shopping. Ground floor rooms were a good size. The 2 bedroom suite was huge- bigger than many apartments- and a great party room. Beds were quite comfortable. We appreciated the ensuite kitchens. The value was great- inexpensive rooms with all the basic necessities.

The decor was reminiscent of school dormitories; basic, unique and a bit dated. The bathroom lighting was dim.

The location was excellent, between Picton and Wellington and close to Sandbanks. The rooms were clean and brightly decorated with a delightful private balcony looking out over the property. We went to cycle and the Inn was close to the Millennium Trail via a private path. We enjoyed an excellent lunch there made by the Bistro in the Inn. But the very best experience was with Sabrina who was a delightful and outgoing host who ensured that all our needs were met and that we had fun.

Firstly, the owner is so incredibly nice. She makes herself available for you if you have any issues and really cares about your stay. Our room was huge (which is so nice when you’re travelling with your little kids). We’ve stayed at other places in the area and we were literally on top of each other. We had everything we needed in the room.

Our stay was great, the only thing I’d suggest is getting pack and plays for baby use, and that’s only because when we return next year we’ll have another baby! A swing set or slide outside would be awesome too, but obviously not a necessity.

Very comfortable and lovely ambiance. Outdoor space was nice. Lovely lady checking us in.

Toilet made a noise when you flush. I guess because it’s on septic system. Breakfast should be included or at least open before 10am. A little pricey…wished we knew about the nice kitchen space. We could have brought coffee and breakfast.

This property is a little gem hidden away and it’s located close to Sandbanks and Picton. The owner/ host Sabrina was exceptionally friendly and welcoming! We had our own private suite with private parking right in front. The room was super clean, modern and most off , all amenities were available. My dog loved the humongous back field and it was nicely trimmed. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely go back next summer.

Nice suite that was perfect for a couple. Plenty of paring and perfect location for Prince Edward County due to its proximity to Sandbanks Provincial park and Picton.

The shower was small for a big guy like me.

Our host, Sabrina, was welcoming and informative. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The building itself was interesting, having been developed from a school house, through use as a commercial office building, into an impresssive, welcoming hotel.

Sabrina was great! She is friendly and welcoming. This is our second time here and we loved it just as much as the first time. And bonus they allow pets which meant we could bring our dog.

Bloomfield is limited in what it has - not much happening after 6pm. And the café at the hotel gets really busy so you may have to wait (but they have great lattes).
