The owner was just amazing. It is a family owned business: the owner and his wife completely renovated the entire facility themselves, and they did such a wonderful job. I would've never guessed that it was just a team of two. The owner was so very receptive and offering, even though we were just staying a few hours overnight, to get some sleep. You can tell by the way he speaks that he is so proud of his business, and he would do most anything to ensure his customers comfort during their stay. He assured us that he is just a phone call away, if we need anything. I would stay here 100 more times, and I know that great service, and a comfortable bed, would be ensured each and every time.

Everything was great. I wouldn't be able to find anything to complain about, even if I wanted to.

The staff were super friendly and very inviting. The room was very clean (with one minor exception), beds comfortable, neighbours quiet, bathroom clean. Plenty of storage space for belonging if you're staying for extended time, fridge and microwave in the room. Very happy with the stay, would book again.

The coffee maker had not been cleaned after the previous guest so there was a spent coffee pack inside and a lot of fruit flies. Didn't realize the source of the flies until the morning after when I went to make coffee. A bit disappointed with that because I like a coffee in the morning, but otherwise perfect.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Super clean and comfortable bed. No noise from other rooms.

Only 2 items or room for improvements to note; 1) The air/heating unit is so loud as it close to the bed that it woke me up very frequently through the night so I didn't get the sleep I was hoping for. 2) Pillows were not to my liking. Hope these 2 mentions do not detract from my overall opinion of the place but they were 2 important components for getting a good sleep/rest.

The staff of this motel were very friendly, and the owner obviously takes great pride in his business plus the quality and maintenance of the property. It is an exceptional value compared to other accommodations in the area.

The air-conditioning unit was a bit louder than we'd prefer ... but that seems to be the case with all in-room units, with only central systems being quieter. We just turned it off while we were sleeping.

The room was immaculately clean. Friendly staff at the front desk. Room was large with a fridge and microwave. Beds were comfortable. It looked like the room and bathroom had been renovated. Only odd thing was the foot of one bed was very close to the bathroom door...not a major concern. The motel was a few minutes outside of town, which was fine. Lots of parking as well. Overall, a great stay.

Quaint motel just outside of Port Hope in the Hamlet of Welcome.. The property is well maintained and tidy. The room was clean, well-appointed, and clean. I enjoy staying at motels such as this. As a motorcycle rider, I can park my bike directly in front of my room. The owner was friendly and helpful. The bath tub had no stopper, but he provided one quickly. He rightfully explained it is like this as people used to steal them.

clean I didn't hear my neighbours so it seemed quiet

the heater fan went on and off even though I had the fan set to be constantly on. it is loud so as it went on and off during the night it disrupted my sleep. also there is only one heater unit at one end of the room so the other end of the room with bathroom was very cold. didn't want to even shower because getting out would be uncomfortable. and it was only around freezing temperatures, imagine in very cold weather.

The motel is in a quiet location with little traffic noise. The drive up parking makes unloading your car easy. Although it doesn't have a restaurant onsite, many options are only 5-6 mins away in Port Hope. The rooms are updated and spotlessly clean and included a fridge and coffee options and a generous amount of towels. It was the perfect break on our drive to Ottawa.

wasn't expecting much, owners very nice, to your service. The room was very clean # 115, better than some high priced hotel in the GTA. i would not hesitate to come back again. Looks like a motel, you park your car in front of the room, so really easy to unload the luggage !!! i left Toronto to get back to Quebec city. i felt like driving a bit so i would have less road the next day. almost 2 hour drive from Toronto, that was a wonderful pit stop.

i would have to be very ''picky'' to start looking for something i didn't like.

The location is just off of the highway so very easy to get to. Very clean and the owners were very accommodating.

The space around the beds is a little tight. With two queen beds both people have to get in on the same side as there is no room between the wall and bed. Standard beds seem to be high in any hotel, motel and I almost feel like I need to carry a little step stool with me. I have difficulty getting on the bed because of the height and me being short.
