My wife, adult son and I stayed two nights in a room with two double beds. The room was spacious and had some chairs, a small round table and a desk, which I liked when using my laptop. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and towels were nice and thick. The included breakfast was quite good, although not to my son's liking. It offered a variety of continental breakfast type items and 3 hot items - some pan fried potatoes, pork sausages and scrambled eggs (eggs were cooked in the shape of a flat disc). Also useful, was the proximity to free EV charging on the street a short distance from the hotel, although it should be noted that parking fees apply Monday to Friday during working hours while charging. But there's no parking fee on the street on evenings and weekends. Also note, there is free parking in the hotel's parking lot.

The door to the room (309) gave trouble to open which we reported. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work (which I forgot to report). There was a coffee machine in the room and a packet of coffee, but I would have liked to see some Tea bags also in the room (since the coffee machine can boil water for tea).

The location is good, particularly if your goal is to be near the Hull Hospital. There are convenient public transit links up and down St-Joseph,, grocery stores and pharmacies nearby, etc. some of the rooms have cozy Jacuzzi-style bathtubs. For the price, the rooms are surprisingly nice. The place isn't fancy -- Google Maps labels it as "unassuming" -- but it doesn't claim to be.

The breakfast was good, but it was always exactly the same, so it got rather monotonous after a few days. The metal staircases are a bit institutional, but there's an elevator, so most people probably don't even see them.

Customer service was fantastic. Reception was so accommodating, professional and amiable. The room was cozy and clean and the cleaning staff was also friendly and helpful.

The only critique is that the tub/shower is a little too narrow and the shower isn't high enough to wash my hair. I had to tilt my head back to wash my entire head, and I'm by no means tall. I'm only 5 foot 4.

Clean room, had everything we needed in it: fridge, coffee maker (we did not use it this time, but it was there), all the trimmings in the bathroom. The blackout curtains were very good, the room was nice size, had a small desk and one easy chair too. Lots of power outlets. The mattress was comfy. It was very quiet there. Breakfast was very good, considering it's America ;) Lots of eating places and a big food store a short walk away is a plus too.

Bed could be slightly bigger (room was for 2 people) and I'm not so fond of rooms in which windows don't open and you have to run A/C 24/7, no matter what. The weather was nice and it would have been nicer to just breathe fresh air.

Great room for the price, it was easy to check in/check out. It was generally clean and comfortable. Definitely needed the night off and for a last minute booking it really exceeded my expectations! Friendly, bilingual staff :)

The TV was lacking a lot of channels, would be nice to have a smart TV or more options, although some good. Also the A/C did not seem to work or let us adjust the temperature, but overall no big deal.

I enjoyed the breakfast, there were many choices and it was delicious. I liked that there were many towels in the washroom. I was glad that the curtain covered all the light from outside. It is also near Ottawa and I like vibes of the neighbourhood. There was also a good burger place nearby.

The shower had a weird noise and the washroom was a bit noisy toward the room.

The cleaning service. I had forgotten something when I left, and a few hours later, the front desk called me to inform me about the item I had left behind. I was very grateful for that. The breakfast service was also great, and the staff were excellent.

I really liked the diversity of food we had for breakfast. The room was also comfy and when we wanted to relax, we had many channel choices. The service was really nice.

It's picky, but we had to hold the flush to make our toilet really flush like it had to. The shower head was a little low also so I had to bend my knees a little to wash my hair.

All the staff were friendly and easily transitioned from French to English. Breakfast was hearty and cooked items were refreshed constantly. Room was clean and quiet enough for a good sleep -- even on the main street side on the second floor. Location was perfect for our visit to Gatineau National Park and the Canadian Museum of History. The BBQ Shop up the road was an excellent place to dine in -- sat outdoors in front with wall between us and the street (top patio was full). Main road under construction, looks like area is getting a major infrastructure upgrade.

Dining area is undersized for the hotel being full. Also the dining area was not well ventilated and lacked cooling for the number of people. Speaking of ventilation, the hotel room was stuffy when you step inside off the corridor. Windows don't open. The bathroom exhaust worked as did the concealed fan/coil unit, but fresh air seemed to be lacking -- the building needs an HVAC engineering review. Three of the four reading lamps didn't work. The smoke detector started beeping the second night, so I removed it and got a new battery from the front desk -- still beeping so didn't reinstall. Parking spots are small and lot is crowded for full occupancy.

Nice atmosphere, rooms were clean, staff were very friendly, breakfast wasn’t too bad, everything we needed pretty much included. Free parking is hard to find with hotels but not with this one! Wasn’t a bad location only minutes drive from many popular places in Gatineau.
